KLOUDOVÁ, Markéta
This diploma thesis consists from two substantial parts. Important information relating to smoking, specifically information about tobacco and its ways of consumption, smoking effects on womens and mens organism and the health in general, nicotinism and prevention in this case are translated in the theoretical part. The questionnaire was made in practical part and by using quantitave research it was found out the differences in smoking among women and men ? students at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. Obtained dates were noted, evaluated and processed in programmes MS Word and Exel by using tables and graphs into the arranged form. By the research survey it was found out that among 254 respondents there was more mens smoker (48,03%) than womens smoker (48,13%). Also, it was showed that women (55,51%) are more informed about smoking effects and its harmfulness to the organism than men (36,61%). The difference between men and women was demonstrated also in the type of cigarettes which they smoke. Women prefer thin cigarettes to stronger cigarettes that are preferred by men. Influence of environment on the beginnings of smoking among children
JAROŠOVÁ, Karolína
This bachelor thesis examines the currect situation concerning the beginnings of smoking among second grade pupils, the social trends and influence of social environment. This thesis also focuses on smoking education and its knowledge among these pupils and it tries to discover whether they know about health risks of smoking. In the theoretical part, I described history of smoking, general information about smoking, and health risks of smoking. In the practical part of this thesis, I chose two hypothesis to be confirmed or disproved. I used questionnaires as a research instrument at selected primary schools in České Budějovice. The first hypothesis says that children whose parents smoke are more likely to start smoking themselves than children from non-smoking families. This hypothesis was confirmed. The second hypothesis says that more than a half of respondents are not fully informed about possible health risks of smoking. This hypothesis was also confirmed. I was surprised by the results of my research. It is alarming how many children have smoking experience or how many of them are even regular smokers these days. In my opinion, lack of education and not enough attention focused on anti-smoking prevention programs only contribute to this trend. Our society should think a lot more about this phenomenon, and we should try harder for our new generations not to take smoking as a part of their daily life.
Influence of tabacco and alcohol advertising on consumer
Kopecká, Tereza ; Pešek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Skokanová, Dagmar (referee)
In my work I deal with alcohol ads and their influence on consumer behavior. Tobacco advertising has been prohibited due to tobacco malignity. Accordingly, there are not likely to encourage smoking. Whether the consumption decreased after the ban is also included in this work. Since alcohol is currently a problem not only juveniles but also adults and intensity of consumption continues to rise, there is a need to deal with this problem. The aim of my work is to determine whether alcohol advertising affects consumer choices in the consumption of alcohol.
Legal drugs and their use by students at secondary schools in the of Tábor district.
PECLOVÁ, Kristýna
Legal drugs and their use by students at secondary schools in the Tábor district Drugs currently represent a major problem worldwide, affecting each of us. The Czech Republic ranks among the countries with the increasing trend of excessive alcohol consumption. Alcohol consumption in this society is considered an absolutely normal and tolerated phenomenon, equally as smoking of tobacco products and excessive use of non-prescription drugs. Alcohol and drugs are not only legal but their consumption is offered practically wherever you go. The period of adolescence involves experimenting as its natural part. Legal drugs are the first things the adolescents experiment with and for this reason my bachelor thesis focuses on the use of alcohol, tobacco, caffeine and medicinal drugs. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes facts about the individual legal drugs (alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, medicinal drugs) and analyzes related issues. The purpose of my bachelor thesis was to find out facts about the use of legal drugs at secondary schools in the district of Tábor and I have used some partial goals and previously established hypotheses to achieve it. The partial goals included identification of the first experience with legal drugs and quantities consumed by secondary school students. In order to verify the established hypotheses I have used quantitative research and the method of interviewing by questionnaires. The research group consisted of 290 respondents, from which 108 boys and 101 girls. 7 hypotheses were formulated for the research. The hypothesis H1 assumed that boys consume alcohol more often than girls. The hypothesis H2 assumed that boys consume tobacco more often than girls. The hypothesis H3 assumed that boys have the first experience with alcohol earlier than girls. The hypothesis H4 assumed that boys have the first experience with tobacco earlier than girls. The hypothesis H5 assumed girls consume more caffeine than boys. The hypothesis H6 assumed that girls consume more medical drugs than boys. The hypothesis H7 assumed that students of secondary vocational schools consume more alcohol than students of secondary comprehensive schools. All those previously established hypotheses have been confirmed. This bachelor thesis may be used by the general public and by professionals in the Czech Republic to increase the level of awareness about the use of legal drugs. The thesis has brought some new findings and it has mapped the situation in consumption of legal drugs by students of secondary schools in the district of Tábor. Therefore the thesis may contribute to an effective prevention among this group of adolescent youth.
