The aim of the thesis is to highlight the link between learning disabilities and school success. The theoretical part describes the specifics of the development of a child under school age, the learning process and its laws, specific learning disabilities, their various types and describes the conditions for success in education. The practical part is focused on research, processing, analysis and interpretation of results and subsequent recommendations for the general public and teaching, where there is contact with a child with dysorthography.

The diploma paper looks at specific learning difficulties as a factor affecting,inter alia, social life of individuals. The initial section pays attention to theoretical concepts encountered in this field whilethe main part explores dyslectic adults and compares them with individuals undergoing normal development. The research effort aims primarily at the socially relevant aspects of their lives, in particular the self-concept.

This thesis focuses on specific learning disorders of primary school pupils and reeducational care that takes place in the school under the guidance of trained teachers. It deals with the oraganization and content of reeducational group in Vodňanská Elementary School in Prachatice. It captures the extent to which improved underdeveloped cognitive and motor areas of the pupils who attend the group. It finds out the efficiency of the group reeducation.

Will specificic failures of learning influence individual´s journey throught his life? In my work I deal with problems of living with dyslexia. How the specific learning difficulties will affect an individual's life. The main aim of my thesis is to examine how specific learning disability affects personal and educational development of the individual. The goals of my work are: to determine approach of the parents to the child with specific learning difficulties, approach of teachers at the primary school, high school or university. Recording of feelings from childhood to the present. Explore possibilities of applying on the job market, comparison with individuals who do not suffer from disorder. Find out how the specific learning difficulties affected individuals. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the characteristics specific learning difficulties, their causes, manifestations of classification learning difficulties, dyslexia diagnostics, educational diagnosis, dyslexia, its symptoms in adulthood and reeducation of dyslexia. In the practical part I will examine how learning difficulties affect individual lives from the beginning of education to adulthood. The research sample will consist of adults with learning difficulties in anamneses and without anamneses. Basic methods will be questioning and interview. The practical part of my work is based on the theoretical part.

This thesis deals with specific learning disorders (SPU). It declares basic terms and definitions connected to this field. The aim is to learn what children with SPU have to go through and what methods we select during the care of them to help them to join standard life at an early age. Parental and institutional help together with the help of teachers are parts of this thesis as well. In a questionnaire survey is traced the fact whether both teachers at elementary schools and parents are sufficiently informed about SPU and whether they are able to identify pupils with SPU and with help of various methods, procedures and skills to work with them.

The issues of specific learning disabilities and their influence on children?s personality and his position in society has not been much explored yet. The aim of this diploma thesis is to identify the influence of learning disabilities on children?s self-concept, find out how the child is influenced by learning disabilities and how he is able to cope with this problem himself. The theoretical part of this work focuses on the issue and the basic concepts. The practical part presents the results of my own research in elementary schools. The results have been obtained by application of different testing methods, like tests and questionnaires. Information from school, family and personal surroundings of the children have also been used. My own experience with teaching children with learning disabilities during my teaching practice is mentioned too.

Specific learning disabilities and social aspects are the key terms characterizing this diploma thesis. They are also the main theme of research. This issue is greatly widespread nowadays. These defects (disorders) represent a significant social problem all over the world. A psychological burden has influence not only on those children themselves, but also on parents as well as teachers. Except the negative influence on a child´s school success, specific learning disabilities have a secondary impact. They influence pupils´ self-assessment and their life among peers. The aim of the diploma thesis is to determine a severe impact of specific learning disabilities on a child´s self-assessment and its position among classmates. The thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is focused on the interpretation of knowledge about the theme. There is briefly mentioned a historical overview of specific learning disabilities and it describes the origin, demonstration or occurrence of the most widespread specific learning disability - dyslexia - especially its social aspects. The practical part acquaints readers with research. There is a sample of tested children with their casuistries, tests and results with tables and charts.
Possibilities of nursery school teachers in prevention of risks of specific learning disorders.

This bachelor thesis is focused on problems of possibilities of nursery school teachers in prevention of risks of specific learning disorders. In the first part, there are described theoretical basis for the study of this problems. It consists of sorting, causes, diagnostics and prevention of the specific learning disorders and potential work with risk children. In the second part of the thesis, there is accomplished and assessed a questionnaire re-search between nursery school teachers. The target of the research is to find out how the nursery school teachers evaluate their familiarity with the problems of specific learning disorders and whether they know and use the methods focused on prevention of com-mencement and early diagnostics of specific learning disorders.
Self-concept and sociometrical position in children with learning disabilities

Target od the thesis is to explore the area of social consequences of specific learning disabilities. Specific learning disabilities have undoubtedly impact on academic performance and overall results in the context of school education. Their influence is much wider and we can say that it provides individuals with a specific learning disabilities a negative personal and social consequences. I established the following two hypotheses: I suppose that a group of children with specific learning disabilities will be marked selfconcept lower compared to the control group. I suppose that a group of children with specific learning disabilities will be marked by impaired sociometric position in the classroom compared to the control group. In the theoretical part of the thesis is contained explanations of basic concepts related to learning disabilities. Individual chapters are devoted to specific disorders in general and specifically dyslexia, its causes, incidence, manifestations, and reeducation. The other specific learning disabilities are mentioned in addition to dyslexia. In the second half of the theoretical section, I focus on pupil with dyslexia and his subjective complaints, parents and teachers of pupil with dyslexia, and the consequences of school failure and dyslexia on the individual's life. Practical part of the thesis processes with the research conducted among 24 elementary school students. Research using a variety of test methods for evaluating the impacts and consequences of specific learning disabilities on student self-concept and sociometric position in the classroom. Above 24 pupils were divided into two groups - experimental and control groups, which are compared among themselves.
Effects of specific learning disabilities on self-concept and sociometric position of children in the classroom.

The diploma work deals with social issues of specific learning disabilities at primary school. For research I used standardized tests and questionnaires that I gave to chosen pupils from the 4th, 5th and 6th grades. The aim of my dissertation is to find out if specific learning disability can influence pupil´s self-confidence and their sociometric position in the class.
