This diploma project has been gradually composed from performative applications of fragments of my poetry collection which is being written. It deals with the presentation possibilities of literary poetry by its author. Simultaneously it reflects the particulars of my poetry practise that is, amongst other things, strongly inspired by Vladimír Holan's inner emigration. Since I’m working with open material I’m not binding myself to a concrete goal/purpose.

This diploma thesis discusses the attitude towards death found in Old Norse literature. Emphasis is placed on primary sources and information from them. The work should show the reader what attitudes which is related to death appeared in Old Norse literature and how they were subsequently preserved in modern adaptations. The work analyzes three different primary sources - The Icelander's sagas (family sagas), Legendary sagas and modern adaptations based on Old Norse literature. Comparison of Czech and Slovak regulation of legal consequences of the dissolution of marriage The topic of the diploma thesis is the legal consequences of the dissolution of marriage. The consequences of the dissolution of marriage are examined in two legal regulations, Czech and Slovak, and at the same time compared. The individual ways of marriage dissolution are discussed on an ongoing basis. The work consists of an introduction, five chapters, which are further divided into subchapters, and a conclusion. The first chapter deals with the concept of marriage, its purpose, functions and obligations, and the rights arising from it. The second chapter deals with the historical development of the legal regulation of the dissolution of marriage. Both in the territory of today's Czech Republic and the territory of today's Slovak Republic, from the 18th century to the current legal status. It is not without interest that while for a long time the two legal regulations were separated from each other, ie they were completely different, a relatively long period of joint legal development followed, so that after the division of the Czechoslovakia the two legal regulations diverged again. Self-employed women in the towns on the Třeboň estate at the beginning of the modern age

This bachelor thesis deals with self-employed women on the Třeboň estate, in the city of Třeboň at the beginning of the modern age. Its aim is to present the topic of middle-class widowhood. After the death of the husband, what was the status of widows, their possibilities, how contemporary society thought about them. Bourgeois women didn't leave much of a mark, especially in a male-dominated world. Their role in social and economic history will be in Třeboň irrigators from 1520 to 1652. This presented work provides more detailed information on the number of women working, what crafts they inherited from this is husband deceased, and what property they could dispose of as women. And how did from the point of view of the privacy of widows, she households in Třeboň and family structures look like.
Psychological aspects of death and dying

This theses concern with psychological aspects of dying and death. Its purpose is to comprehend ideas of modern people concerning death and dying (eventually to gain some kind of mental representation of death). Theses consist of two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part concerns at first with death and dying and areas connected to those. Then it covers two quite new areas related to this topic, namely deaht in psychology and various explanations of death including their psychological explanation. The empirical part uses qualitative research (used methods are half-structured interview, free aassociations and marginally also analysis of a drawing) on people's conception of death, their explanation of death and feelings related to the topic, their fears and wishes. The findings are of qualitative character and they were obtained from 28 respondents. The results of empirical part could provide valuable psychological material in the area, that is even nowadays still concidered to be a taboo. They could deepen research in the area that, due to the overall aging of population, would be more and more valuable. Accompanying Adolescent Who Go Through An Existential Crisis After Experiencing The Death Of A Loved One

This thesis is focused on the topic of accompanying adolescents who go through an existential crisis after experiencing the death of a loved one. The goal of this work is to gain deeper insight into the problematics of accompanying of the mourning adolescents. The first part of the thesis is focused on the relationship of mankind and death throughout history and on the current ways of dealing with death and deceased people in our society, including the role of funeral rituals. The thesis also describes the developmental period of adolescence and the relationship of adolescents to death. The next part deals with the process of mourning, its stages, complications and, above all, the specific needs and manifestations of adolescents. The final part of the thesis is focused on the process of accompanying, its types, methods, possible problems, accompanying persons and characteristics of the existential crisis.
Dysthanasia

The BA thesis titled "Dysthanasia: Home care as one of the prevention methods of dysthanasia" deals with the issue of prolonged death and proposes solutions to prevent it. The theoretical part introduces to readers the basic concepts related to the finiteness of life. It discusses death from both medical and theological perspectives, and further describes in detail the concept of dysthanasia as one of the ways of dealing with death. The thesis defines the problems associated with dysthanasia and proposes palliative care as the best approach to prevent this issue. It also mentions organizational forms of specialized palliative care to follow up on the chapter describing home care for the dying, which is not only the best solution in preventing a negative approach to death and dying, but also meets the wishes of the majority of the population who wish to die in a familiar environment close to their family or friends. The last chapter mentions supportive services that help caregivers in caring for the dying. The practical part focuses on the closer examination of home care for the dying and its function in practice. The family's experience with the care and dying of a loved one

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of the experience of caregiving and the death of close family members. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first theoretical part focuses on the definition of the basic terms used in the thesis. I also deal with the topic of accepting the disease. Part of the chapter describes forms of a help, such as the use of a home hospice, pastoral care, or the help of a psychologist. In the last part I will focus on the topic of communication during this proces. In the second methodological part, I will describe which research method was chosen in the thesis. I will describe how I conducted the qualitative research. The part also contains information connected to choice of respondents and cooperation with them. The last practical part is dedicated to the research itself. First of all, I will present four case studies that I created from the interviews with the respondents. Dying and death in hospital from the social work perspective

The bachelor's thesis titled Dying and death in a hospital from the perspective of social work examines the approach of social work towards the phenomenon of dying and death in a hospital setting. In the theoretical part, I discuss the evolution of our attitudes towards death and the role of palliative medicine in this process. I define for the purpose of social work in the hospital and highlight the indispensable role of social workers in end-of-life care. I introduce readers to the functioning of the palliative care team and clarify the significance of developing hospital-based palliative care. In the final chapter, I aim to explore in more details the nature of social work with dying patients and their families. In the practical part, I focus on the attitudes of healthcare social workers towards dying and death in the hospital. This section is based on qualitative research and information gathered from semi-structured interviews.
