Meteorology Information System
Vašíček, Jan ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis is described design and realization of meteorology information system. It provides current weather conditions, weather history and it also offers flood early warning function. This work describes selection of technical equipment and its interconnection. It contains description of monitored meteorological quantities and methods which are suitable for measurement. It describes implementation of  program for data collection and data processing and information system which is used as user interface of weather station.
Wireless weather station
Filka, Tomáš ; Novotný, Radovan (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a draft of wireless weather station, whose task is to measure basic values inside and outside the home. Measured variables are for example temperature, atmospheric pressure, relative humidity, wind speed and direction or concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2). These data will be transmitted to a web server for later processing. Possible technical solutions are described and the outcome is a designed printed circuit boards, which has been assembled and tested. Resulting system was tested in trial operation.
Analysis of the meteorological dates
Votavová, Barbora ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this study is to recognize structure of data from the meteorological station, choose useful programme for its analysis and make a theoretical analysis and graphics. The work describes the collection of data from meteorological stations, data stucture, meteorological elements, their measurement and selection of appropriate statistical program. Practical part includes charts with commentary. Conclusion summarizes the results of the analysis.
Simple FITkit Based Weather-Station
Podivínský, Jakub ; Mičulka, Lukáš (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis, the design and implementation of FITkit-based home weather-station is presented. In the thesis, various methods of measuring meteorological quantities are detailed and discussed together with advanteges and disadvantages of common electronic sensor parameters. Then, weather forecast methods are classified and principle of a simple weather-forecast algorithm based on the atmospheric pressure measurement and analysis is described and discussed according to its realization by the means of the FITkit platform. At the end of the thesis, design and realization of an additional hardware needed to operate the station on basis of FITkit is described.
Passenger vessel consumption computation
Drbohlav, Lukáš ; Matěj, Zdeněk (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
This thesis is focused on a design and an implementation of a power consumption computation for a passenger vessel using the industrial automation system Siemens Simatic S7-200 and the touch panel Weintek Easy View MT8150X. A part of the thesis represents a theoretical summary of features and parametres of the programmable logic controllers (PLC) and a way how they are programmed. The work includes a description of a computational algorithm, a block diagram of interconnections and a visualization software for testing. A greater part of this publication is devoted to a detailed decription of a program in the PLC and its visualization, especially the power consumption computation, a distance, an average speed and a wind speed and a direction. At the end, the thesis shows a procedure for an implementation and a measurement on the passenger ships at the Brno dam, including an evaluation of downloaded data.
Weather station for smart home system
Mitter, Martin ; Burian, František (referee) ; Šedivá, Soňa (advisor)
This semesterly thesis deals with designing of weather station whose task is to provide via wireless data transfer on Wi-Fi network up-to-date information of measured temperature, barometric pressure, relative humidity, ambient light, wind speed and directions to smart home system, whose job is to store the values, creates its visualization for users and based on the data regulates the systems. The work describes the selection of suitable sensors for those variables and the design of the structure of the hardware part of the weather station. Theoretical parameters of the proposed solution are compared with the competition. Then the whole system is build and tested.
Determination of wind direction and speed from free atmosphere data
Mach, Václav ; Huth, Radan (advisor) ; Mikšovský, Jiří (referee)
4 Abstract Determination of wind direction and speed from free atmosphere data. This work deals with relationship between surface wind and large-scale predictors in the Czech Republic. Approach is statistical downscaling based on multiple linear regression with stepwise screening. Tested predictors include four geopotential heights (hgt 500, hgt 700, hgt 850 and hgt 1000), sea level pressure and surface wind components U and V. Observed surface wind speed and azimuth from 18 meteorological station ČHMÚ is used as predictand. Period of interest is define by used data on term 1961 - 2010. In three different methods are compared straight downscaling of wind components U and V, used wind speed calculate from downscaled components U and V, and straight downscaling of wind speed without distinguish wind direction. Resulting models are tested by cross-validation method. The resulting equation allows good simulation of surface wind at most of station. The better method to downscaling surface wind speed is prescribe method of calculate wind speed from downscaled components U and V.
