LGBT+ students: What teachers think and do concerning to them

The bachelor thesis focuses on exploring teachers' attitudes towards LGBT+ students and LGBT+ issues within schools. The theoretical section of the thesis establishes fundamental concepts and phenomena related to LGBT+ adolescents, as well as attitudes and prejudices towards LGBT+ students. The primary emphasis is on LGBT+ students and issues in the school environment. The objective of this study is to investigate the attitudes of secondary school teachers towards their LGBT+ students. For the research, a qualitative approach was employed, and data collection was carried out through individual semi-structured interviews, using pre- prepared question set. The interviews involved 5 female and 3 male respondents. The data gathered was then analyzed using thematic analysis, leading to the identification of 13 themes and 20 sub-themes. These findings are visually represented to enhance clarity and to demonstrate potential interrelationships among them. The results of this study eveal the complexity of teachers' attitudes, highlighting the diverse components that contribute to their perception of a singular subject. Personality differences in individuals of various sexual orientations

The previous research identified a range of personality differences between men and women of various sexual orientations. Non-heterosexual individuals systematically show higher gender nonconformity and greater openness to experience than heterosexual individuals. Non-heterosexual men also show higher levels of neuroticism compared to heterosexual men. The main aim of this study is to replicate previous findings regarding personality differences. The study further aims to determine whether some of the observed differences in personality factors might be explained by differences in gender nonconformity among individuals of various sexual orientations. Via an online survey, a short version of the Big Five Inventory (BFI-10) and a number of scales measuring gender nonconformity were administered to men (N = 3,418) and women (N = 4,690). In total, 232 individuals identified as asexual, 1,814 as bisexual, 3,024 as heterosexual, 2,468 as homosexual, and 570 as pansexual. Our results demonstrate higher gender nonconformity among non-heterosexual men and women, higher neuroticism among non-heterosexual men, and greater openness to experience among bisexual men and women compared to heterosexual individuals. International Legal Protection of Refugees Persecuted for Reasons of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity: A Critique of the Human Rights Approach Abstract This thesis examines the human rights approach to the interpretation of the definition of refugee by using the example of persons persecuted on the grounds of sexual orientation and/or gender identity (SOGI). The thesis focuses primarily on the European area and how a human rights approach to the interpretation of 'persecution' may be relevant to the practice of European Union states specifically in relation to SOGI refugees. The first part outlines the context of persecution of persons fors reasons of their SOGI. It examines the criteria by which SOGI is, and potentially can be, subsumed under the relevant grounds of persecution for refugee status. The second part outlines the different approaches to interpreting the concept of persecution and elaborates more on the so-called 'circumstantial' approach embodied by UNHCR. The third part is devoted to elucidating the doctrine of the human rights approach pioneered by James Hathaway and his book The Law of Refugee Status. The thesis deals with the process of surrogacy in a homosexual couple and colnsultation when two homosexuals have a child. The text is structured into four chapters. The first chapter describes parenthood and what possibilities a homosexual couple has in this area, the second chapter professionally presents assisted reproduction, the third chapter deals in detail with the whole process of surrogacy in a homosexual couple. The last chapter is dedicated with colnsultation at a homosexual couple with children, and other problems that a couple may encounter.
Coming Out in the life on a homosexual

This bachelor's thesis deals with the problematics of a coming out in the life of a homosexual. It contains definitions of homosexuality, related concepts and describes possible causes of homosexuality's origin. The thesis maps how was homosexuality perceived in the context of history and continues with the insight of how it is perceived in Czech Republic nowadays. It also contains the definition of coming out, its different types and presents specific problems of a coming out in different phases of life. Furthermore it deals with possible crisis situations that can arise based on a problematic outer coming out and maps the social work's tools that can help with tackling those situations.
Questioning youth: Strategies and support of youth development in the context of the Czech educational system

Master thesis Questioning youth: Strategies and support of youth development in the context of the Czech educational system analyses the system of prevention of homophobia and transphobia as well as possibilities of supporting questioning youth - adolescents who question their sexuality or gender identity. This master thesis provides an analysis of theoretical concepts regarding LGBTQ* adolescents, gender socialisation and institutional education. I followed three main research questions: It attempts to find answers to the following research questions: 1) How do people who are working at school counselling centres perceive questioning youth or LGBTQ* adolescents? 2) Which tools of prevention do the schools have in the areas of sexual and gender identity based discrimination or bulling and which ones do they actually use? 3) What does the systemic support of schools in the field of homophobia and transphobia prevention look like? Semi-structured interviews conducted with school counsellor and school psychologists have been chosen as a main research method.
