Company Performance Assessment according to Model Start Plus and Proposals for the Improvement

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the performance of a selected company using one of the evaluation models, namely the Start Plus model. Based on this model, an analysis of the company was performed, the output of which was the identification of the company's strengths and areas for improvement. In selected areas changes have been propesed aiming to reduce costs and streamline processes of the company.

The purpose of the bachelor thesis is the analysis of a selected company using the Start model. The first theoretical part deals with the definition of basic concepts and methods that are necessary for the development of the following parts of the work. In the practical part, the analysis of the company itself will be carried out, during which the strengths and weaknesses of the company and opportunities for improvement will be identified. Finally, after finding all the necessary information, a proposal for improvement will be prepared for the future positive development of the company.

Adolescent Identity in Foster Care

This thesis deals with the specifics of adolescent identity (18 - 19 years) and growing up in long-term foster care in the Czech Republic. The purpose of this study is to describe how the adolescents in foster care see and think of themselves. The theoretical part focuses on the developmental period of adolescence with its outstanding characteristics. It also discusses the theories of identity and foster care in the Czech Republic. In addition, the newest studies related to the topic are covered. The goal of the practical part is to describe the forms of identity with their significant components. The main method includes semi-structured interviews and questionnaires. The results of the research show, that there is a strong attachement of the adolescents in foster care to their social environment (mainly to the foster parent, but also to other reference groups), through which these persons see themselves. Foster family plays an important role in the life of adolescents because they feel thankful for the care of their substitute carers. Perception of criminal activities by patients of Ordered protective treatment

Mental disorder and criminal activity is always a current topic because of high promotion of offences in the media which enhances its stigmatization. The aim of the work was mapping of patient's view of his criminal activities. We described criminal proceedings with mentally ill offender and measures of protection. We addressed to chosen aspects of perceiving of criminal activities - motivation, attribution of guilt, self-image and punishment. We described mental disorders in psychiatric protective treatment and their forensic significance. We used the qualitative analysis of semi-structured interview, method called pie of guilt, medical records and forensic expert testimony. The sample consisted of 16 patients of psychiatric protective treatment in Psychiatric hospital Bohnice, Praha, Czech republic. Collected data are various and they account for the heterogenity of research group. The main work result is a support for opinion that not only mental disorder, but also many other factors such as personality, substance abuse or poor impulse control, are responsible for the origin of offence and that patients are conscious of it and they don't interpret it only within the frame of mental disorder.
