Interactive web applications for support of teaching signal processing
Mašek, Petr ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Záviška, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of processing one-dimensional signals. Five interactive web applications have been created in JavaScript to support teaching. These are applets that relate to the following topics: rational number resampling of the discrete signal, mean and root mean square signal values, discrete linear and circular convolution in 1D, and discrete cross correlation. The thesis introduces each topic by a theoretical foreword, followed by description of implementation and user interface of the created applications and further there is a commentary on the development and testing of applets.
Image Processing in FPGA
Přibyl, Bronislav ; Seeman, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
Images for scientific purposes are taken by optical devices, such as microscopes, cameras etc., which usually consist of system of lenses and optical sensor. Most lenses suffer from various distortions. Geometrical distortion may not be acceptable for example for precise distance measurement in the image. This thesis describes fast algorithm for separable image resampling capable of correcting smooth geometrical distortions caused by lenses. An FPGA implementation of this algorithm is also described.
Interactive web applications for teaching purposes in the field of signal processing
Kuba, Michael ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Záviška, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with selected topics of signal processing. The aim of the project is the implementation of four interactive web applications in JavaScript, intended for teaching purposes. These applications deal with following topics: rational number resampling of the discrete signal, mean and root mean square signal values, discrete linear and circular convolution in 1D, and discrete cross-correlation. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and the practical part. There is a theroretical foreword of topics the applications deal with, including an introduction to signals followed by a description of functionality and the user interface of created applications.
Evaluation of Object Detection in Image
Černošek, Bedřich ; Behúň, Kamil (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor's thesis was to propose the evaluation method of object detection. Result of this work was to create a program which performs the evaluation of object detection on suitable data sample and intuitively displays result to user. The task was to propose suitable experiments and dataset for proving correctness of evaluation. Part of this work was to find optimal parameters for face detection and optimal photo preprocessing before the face detection.
Implemetation of signal processing problems for teaching purposes
Ševčík, Zdeněk ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Mangová, Marie (advisor)
This thesis is focused on Fourier series, phasor diagram, signal resampling and amplitude modulation. All of there problems are analyzed in theoretical part of thesis. Here are derived all three form of Fourier series, described signal sampling, decimation and interpolation. Next thesis is focused on signal modulation and closer deal with amplitude modulation of harmonic and inharmonic signal. In practical part is example of calculation of Fourier siries for a specific signal, example of signal resampling and example of amplitude modulation for harmonic and inharmonic signal. Objective of practical part is creates programs focused on these problems. Programs should be interactive and their purpose is demonstrate the problem to students.
Implementation of digital metronome with oversampling in VST technology
Křupka, Aleš ; Přikryl, Lubor (referee) ; Mačák, Jaromír (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis presents solution to requirement of implementation of digital metronome in VST technology. In the beginning, there is analysis of basic characteristics of digital metronome, that helps to suggest algorithm realizing digital metronome. Algorithm is encapsulated into C++ class with appropriate interface, which is suitable for usage in different technologies of digital sound signal processing. This way encapsulated metronome is implemented in VST technology as plug-in. For this reason, thesis contains a brief introduction to VST software development kit, definitions of its basic methods and way how to do graphical user interface of VST plug-in. For realizing of function enabling choice of any sound loaded from wav file, there is a description of RIFF format, that specifies the format of saving multimedia data into drive. Using this knowledge, the function of loading from wav file is implemented. In order to adjust sampling frequency of loaded sound, thesis deals with problems of sample rate conversion and implements resampling function.
Evaluation of Methods of Stereo Image Processing
Juráček, Ivo ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis addresses the correlation between two pictures and its application to a real example using a camera which is a part of a stereo camera. It suggests how to use correlation to find specific patterns in pictures whereas it is possible to calculate the movement between two scaled pictures which is done by resampling. The accuracy of correlation is then shown when pictures are compensated using affine transformation in order to verify the accuracy of correlation. To further increase the correlation accuracy, it is possible to use a corner detector, it finds main points in a shot and then it searches for a match in another shot using correlation. Final results using this method are also mentioned in this thesis.
OpenCL standard
Michlovský, Jakub ; Trzos, Michal (referee) ; Průša, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work discussed about the OpenCL standard, which can use video card for accela- ration intensice calculations. In first part is an detail analyze of architecture of standard and support by major hardware manufacturers and operating systems. In the second part is described a creation and implementation of the application for adjustment of the picture. Whole work is ended by comparative measurment of the time of recon to processor and on the graphic card.
Interpolation with NURBS curves
Škvarenina, Ľubomír ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Zátyik, Ján (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with image interpolation. The aim of this work is to study theoretically and then describe the nature of the various methods of image interpolation and some of them implemented in the program MATLAB. The introductory part of this work theoretically closer to important terms that are closely related to this topic of digital image processing sufficient to understand the principle. In the following of the thesis will be discussed all of today's commonly used method of image interpolation. Will hear all about the method of image interpolation using nearest neightbor interpolation and image help of polynimals such as (bi)linear, (bi)quadratic and (bi)kubic method. Then work theoretically analyzes the theory of individual species curves and splines. More specifically, coming to their most frequently used variants of B-spline curves and ther generalizations called NURBS, with addressing the problem of interpolating these curves. The final chapter consists of the results achieved in the program MATLAB.
Resampling and Correction of Images
Lysáková, Veronika ; Bařina, David (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focusing on design and implementation of the application for resampling and correction of image which allows movement of the pixels of a photo and that way to fix small mistakes whilst taking photographs or correct the image. One part of the work describes existing tools for adjustments of photographs and geometric transformations which are being used to make these adjustments.
