Development of image formulation of architecture in times of digital age expansion

Thesis is focusing on two main themes of the relationship between photography and architecture and their evolution over time of massive digitization. Technologically examines new possibilities of image capture within photographing architecture and compares their with classic scanning method from the time before digital cameras and computers was normally available. Another subject is description of the new possibilities concerning presentation of architecture photography in the new digital era of cameras and improved 3D rendered image, adding to image section of printed and digital magazines, catalogues, social networks and other forms of architecture presentation, all thanks to simplicity of its acquisition and presentation.

1 Abstract This master's thesis deals with a genre expectation from an advertising photography in magazines from 1970 up to the present. The intent of a theoretical part of the master's thesis is to characterize the advertising photography and compare it with other photographic genres such as journalistic, documentary or artistic photography, because each of those genres is characterized by different modes and so, each carries considerably diverse expectations. And thus, an attention is paid especially to a photography composition within the scope of those individual genres. However, in connection with the comparison of the advertising and journalistic photography, I also focus on regulations, which limit these genres. Further, the aim of this thesis is to map the limits of the genre of the advertising photography and depict, with the use of the particular examples, what stereotypes, prejudices and standards are used in the creation of the advertising photographs and how it ends up, when they are broken. Nevertheless, in the theoretical part I also deal with it, what does it mean a term illustrative photography and where this term is used. Myths and stereotypes in advertising photography

The bachelor thesis Myths and stereotypes in advertising photography (Týden and Elle magazines) focuses on meanings carried by advertising photographs and on ways used to connect these meanings with products. The aim of the thesis is to find out, how these images show stereotypes and myths shared in society. The theoretical part of the thesis concerns first of all the theory of representation and theory of signs in semiology. It focuses especially on how these signs work in advertising photography and how the meaning is transferred between displayed objects. Furthermore, it introduces the theory of myth in the work of Roland Barthes and possible involvement of ideology and stereotypes in advertising photography. The analytical part examines advertising photographs in Týden and Elle magazines, using the semiological method. The aim of the analysis is to find out, how the concepts and ideas in advertising photography differ between a serious and a lifestyle magazine. It points out the main stereotypes and myths, that appear in the photographs, with an emphasis on gender stereotypes, which prevail there. Contemporary visual commercial photography in the Czech Republic

The topic of this bachelor's thesis deals with contemporary trends of visual commercial photography in the Czech Republic. The conclusions presented are a result of the qualitative and quantitative research performed as part of this paper. The theoretical part is focused on the subject of media, psychology of advertisement. Primary attention is devoted to the medium of photography. Particular interest is given to visual and technical elements, which form a picture and their psychological effects on the consumer. An analysis of market segmentation provides information about the industries where visual commercial photography occurs, what companies use it as a marketing tool and who the target consumer audience is. The practical part of the paper identifies patterns and repeated usage of elements in visual commercial photography. The findings are further interpreted based on the outcomes of the theoretical part.
Misuse of sexuality in advertising

This bachelor thesis describes sexism especially in czech mass media. The development of gender and issue of women status in advertising are discussed. General terms related to advertising, gender, and sexism as stereotypes, social roles or theory of mass media are explained. The thesis also deals with feminity and maskulinity and it is completed by typical examples of representation women in advertising. Some sections are devoted to the differences between the sexes divided into males and females controlled by gender stereotypes. In conclusion you can find an assessment of annual contest called Sexisticke prasatecko.
