Mobile Machineries Used for Grinding of Aggregates and Recycled Materials from Building Waste
Hurník, Štěpán ; Malášek, Jiří (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is the introduction to the problem of grinding natural materials and recycling building waste by mobile crushing machinery. The first part of work includes a detailed description of crushers themselves and differences between them. Next basic machine development is dealt with, as well as questions evoked by this topic. These questions are concerned with the mobility and problems of recycling. Further, there are current market offers for the preformance given. It deals with the parameters of the individual machines, on which their mutual comparison is given and displayed in graphs. The final part of the thesis consists of the general evaluation of machines for the above-mentioned purposes from different points of view: comparsion, market supply and a careful view into the possible future progress.
MERINA 2.0
Ambrosová, Katarína ; Goluchová, Martina (referee) ; Havliš, Karel (advisor)
The aim is to create a vision for the future development of a problematic brownfield near the city center of Trenčín. The territory of former MERINO textile factory next to the military barracks, park and railway station is for long neglected, but still valuable in terms of urbanism, industrial heritage and new urban potential. The project will focus on the realistic spatial restructuring of the area and on the search for its new functional content.
The usage of the recycled aggregates to roads from the point of view of economical and ecological conception
Trávníček, Dušan ; Varaus, Michal (referee) ; Stehlík, Dušan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is based on decision making process connected with the usages of recycled and natural aggregates in a road construction. In the research I deal with the ways of recycling and their economic and environmental benefits for society. The practical part then uses this information to bring the real results.
Presentation pavilion of WANEMI, a.s. paper-mill in Zábřeh
Říhová, Helena ; Svoboda, Jiří (referee) ; Zemánková, Helena (advisor)
The sense of the diploma paper is to make a new entrance - green belt - for the paper factory - WANEMI. There is the exhibition pavillion and the administration building situated in the green belt. The main point of the diploma is the exhibition pavillion. The project is based on the basic principle of ekological architecture like - demounting, using of the waste water and using of the waste warm air. The elementary pavillions´ shape reminds of a paper folder. There are another small exhibitions and constructions in the park. Everything is united by shape and material. The park is the cultural area for sport and education.
NEO (an unnamed ecological art object)
Molišová, Kateřina ; Lungová, Barbora (referee) ; Klodová, Lenka (advisor)
This bachelor thesis – The Sphere/The Planet – is based on the recycling of waste found in the nature to an art object. The Planet is centred on my need to participate in bringing the landscape back to its original state while also reacting to humanity's attitude to the waste production and its influence on nature. I bind and shape the found waste into a planet-shaped sphere that is meant to be a reflection and companion of the planet Earth which is overfilled by the waste produced by humans. The whole process of creation is recorded on the video that is also part of the installation.
Utilization of Waste Vegetable Oils as an Alternative Fuel for Diesel Combustion Engines
Michna, Lukáš ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Stodola, Jiří (advisor)
In the introduction this thesis brings a short summary of the energy, environmental and economical balance, related to the production and use of conventional fuels for diesel engines, and compares them with possibility of using recycled cooking vegetable oils as a fuel. The main part focuses on the laboratory analysis of major physical and chemical properties of this alternative fuel and on their comparison to diesel fuel, especially according to ČSN EN 590 norm. In conclusion there is a proposal of diesel vehicle modification to be propelled with waste vegetable oils.
Question of PET bottles recyclation: Current state and perspectives
Duliková, Michaela ; Stoupalová, Michaela (referee) ; Čáslavský, Josef (advisor)
This thesis is deals with the process of recycling of PET bottles from the sorting of waste up to the using of recycled material, so-called “PET flakes“. The attention is paid mainly to the process of the physical recycling. The dry recycling process is compared with the wet recycling process from the point of view of applied technology and quality with focus on the final product (PET flakes) from the wet recycling process. As the quality is concerned, presence of blockers and polyvinyl chloride, which causes the most serious problems during recycling, is discussed. Employed technologies as well as quality requirements for spinning, producing PET strapping band, recycling by the bottle to bottle form (B2B) and other possibilities of the usage of recycled materials are also described.
Use of recycled building materials to urban pavement constructions
Průdková, Hana ; Hýzl, Petr (referee) ; Stehlík, Dušan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the possibilities of construction and demolition waste management. It examines the issue of allocation and management of this waste and evaluates possibilities of their further use. It deals with production and use of recycled materials in construction of urban roads and economic advantage of recycled materials in comparison to natural aggregates. This work also discusses the issue of aerated concrete, as a modern building material, that will soon appear in construction and demolition waste to a greater extent. The practical part examines properties of mixed recyclates with a certain amount of brick and aerated concrete particles by testing the bulk density of grains and water absorption, freezing and thawing resistance and crushing resistance.
Bound mixtures for the base layers of pavements using glass fibers
Elabd, Ahmed Samy ; Šperka, Pavel (referee) ; Stehlík, Dušan (advisor)
This thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part gathers available information on bound mixtures for base layers of pavements, providing basic information on the most commonly used types of recycled materials and their use in roads. It also includes various types of binders and requirements for their use. The thesis also explains the importance of reducing the amount of dosed hydraulic binders to eliminate negative impacts on the environment and for economic reasons, offering an alternative possibility of stabilizing soils into mixtures for subbase layers of roads. The practical part of this thesis focuses on the possibility of using glass fibers as a reinforcing element at low doses of binder. The main goal was to evaluate the designed mixtures with a hydraulic binder with the addition of glass fibers, depending on the results of bound mixtures with only glass fiber addition. These options were verified and subsequently compared using laboratory tests.
Usability of hig speed water jet in civil engineering
Boucníková, Veronika ; Sitek,, Libor (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of using high-speed water jet in construction industry. In the theoretical part, water jet technology was generally described and a research for use in the construction industry with an emphasis on the application of concrete structures redevelopment and the process of interaction of water jet with concrete was done. Furthermore, the safety risks during work with high-speed water jet and the possibilities of recycling of waste generated by the use of this technology were evaluated. In the experimental part were prepared concrete samples with dispersed concrete reinforcement. The characteristics of the concrete samples were determined and the depth and appearance of the cross-section after interaction with the high-speed water jet was evaluated.
