Non-Photorealistic Rendering

The main purpose of this thesis besides providing the reader with basics of non-photorealistic rendering, is concept and possible solution for system realization, which is capable of this rendering using image post-processing. This thesis describes solution that is sufficiently flexible to support use of integrated filters along with the creation of new ones that can be recursively used to create another filters for this type of rendering. Thus part of this thesis is some kind of manual which provide basic syntax description and possibilities of use.

The work describes the theoretical foundations of modern methods of creating new fonts, that is, using information technology, specifically vector programs. It also marginally shows the history of the font, Roman writing, the basic division of its compositions and describes its individual elements. The next part of the project focuses on creating digital fonts and continues with bringing it to live using algorithms and methods that can easily be processed in Matlab programming language. The method of implementation of the bringing the typeface to live is described and presentation of the generated results are then shown in few examples. Attention is also paid to the coordinates system, which is very important to solve geometric transformations, and two-dimensional vector graphics, which are widely used in the design and to render the fonts. Bézier curves and cubic Bézier curves are described in further detail along with vector graphics rasterization. One part of this text describes very important de Casteljau algorithm. The last chapter focuses on implementation in Matlab programming language, the creation of curves, that means single font characters, and the ways of how the algorithm works with transformations. Some sample images showing transformations using different input arguments are displayed in this section as well. There is evaluation of the contribution of this application and the possibilities of further expansion at the end.

Studying the biometric characteristics, randomness and generation of random data suitable for cryptography as well the variability of fingerprint, iris, face and human voice. In the practical part has been tested the variability of 200 prints from the same finger, using three factors: 1) The coordinates of fingerprints cores. Due to the repeatability of coordinates the obtained entropy was low. 2) Fingerprint area approximation. It was able to verify the diversity of all areas. The maximum available entropy remains around 15 bits. 3) Ridge lines distortion. From the core to the top of the fingerprint has been taken boxes containing part of the ridge line. For all boxes was calculated the average phase angle of the gradient which represents the change of intensity in the box. Vector of phase angles describes the ridge line distortion. Maximum estimated entropy of this vectors was estimated at 71,586 bits. Keywords: biometry, randomness, entropy 1

Testování náhodnosti a použití statistických testů v kryptografii

Pseudorandom generators belong to the primary focus of cryptology. The key to every cipher has to be generated at random, otherwise the security of the whole cipher is threatened. Another point of importance is the pseudorandom generators' close relationship to the stream ciphers. In this work, we first introduce statistical theory related to randomness testing. Then, we describe 8 classical statistical tests. We introduce a concept of next bit testing and derive variants of previous tests. Moreover, with this new battery of tests we examine the randomness of SHA-3 second round candidates and present the results. Hurst Exponent and Randomness in Time Series

The main goal of this thesis is to test the ability of the Hurst exponent to recognise some processes with deterministic signal as nonrandom and to test the randomness of daily stock returns of three stocks traded in BCPP. Critical values to determine the critical region of a randomness hypothesis test were set for this purpose. Another goal of the thesis is the description of the Hurst exponent estimation by means of Rescaled Range Analysis and outline some problems accompanying this estimation if the Hurst exponent would be used as a randomness indicator. Within the frame of Rescaled Range Analysis was constructed another method that showed to be successful in recognising some series that contain deterministic signal.
