This Bachelor’s thesis focuses on the issue of project management. The aim is to create a proposal for a benefit event for a chosen organisation and, at the same time, to devise a functional template which could serve for any event with a similar focus. Firstly, the study describes the theory of project management as an introduction to the subject matter; it then discusses the chosen organisation and the current state of the project, and, finally, the proposed solution and its benefit.

The bachelor's thesis deals with project processing of new distribution center for a foreign customer in Chile. It consists of three parts, namely the theoretical basis, analysis of the company and own project solutions. The first, theoretical part deals mainly with theories that describe project management as such, its historical development, methods, processes, typologies and project life cycles or project cycle management. The next two parts of the work describe the selected company, its past and also the subject in which it operates. SWOT analysis is used to better define it. The following is an analysis of the specific project and the procedures used by managers in its implementation.

Using waterfall method, this bachelors thesis will describe project manager actions in real project environment, from project’s beginning to successful finish. In the first chapters, we will present goals of our project, methods of project management from managers perspective, as well as actions of analysis execution. Next chapter elaborates on more theoretical procedures, furthermore we will introduce you to current project status analysis. In project solution proposal, we will define implementation and execution of project, resulting in successful delivery.

The master thesis: „ The Study of Optimization of Production Process“ focouses on optimization of material flow to manufacturing department. First of all there will be shown theoretical approach corresponding with the thesis area and we will introduce production system and portfolio of products. Subsequently a real project will be analyzed and author will describe deficiencies in this project and system. Thanks to theoretical approach there will be found a different solution how to define new system without deficiencies. In the end the author will make a conclusion of newly found solution

Proposal for Project and Application of Project Management Methodology in the Municipality

Main goal of this thesis is to design a project for the reconstruction of the square in the municipality Dolní Věstonice, which will have a positive impact on the support of tourism and local development. The project management methodology is used in compiling the project. The basis for the proposed solution is an analysis of the current situation mapping tourism in the municipality, including an analysis of technical means that can be used to secure successful implementation of the change. The result of this work is a complete proposal, including all essentials and economic evaluations of the entire project.

Diploma thesis is focused on the PRINCE2 methodology, which has been developed based on the needs of the British government for project management and after that it is applied to the needs of a private Czech company. There are described the basic features of the methodology, which are major benefits for the project management. On practical preparation is demonstrated the possibility of adapting the methodology on a practical elaboration to the specifics of a certain project and there are attached the drawn up project documents.

Analytical part contains information about the company and analysis of current situtation. In the fourth part is introduced proposal for realization and the benefits of suggested solution.
