Contemporary scheme of the journalistic programs aimed on the theater in the audiovisual media in public broadcasting of the Czech republic

Bachelor thesis "Contemporary scheme of journalistic programs focused on the theater in the audiovisual media in public broadcasting of the Czech Republic" dealt with the evolution of theatre to its TV form and with the structure of contemporary programs that have theater as their main topic. Thesis focuses on the program Divadlo žije! on ČT2 which is the main and only program on public broadcasting TV in the Czech Republic] focusing on theater. Radio is represented in this thesis by the program Tyjátr on Radio Wave. The main point of exploration in programs is the genre program structure, quantitative and qualitative analysis of the short previews of performances which are the part of the reports. The main task of these analyses is to show how the previews represent the performance and if they can build up its story and atmosphere.

This thesis compares two significant music televisions in Czech television broadcasting, MTV and TV Óčko. Also it describes the development and history of the first American music television MTV and also it provides a view to some similar features of the development of the American MTV and the development of the Czech music televisions. Both Czech music televisions are also compared in terms of the program structure. The practical part of this thesis is based on interviews with four presenters of both Czech music televisions. On the basis of these interviews there has been evaluated an attitude of the presenter to their stations, space that they are provided in the broadcasting and also their subjective views on the positions of music televisions in the Czech media market and their comparison with other music televisions.
Launch of the public-service culture channel: Broadcast Analysis of ČT art untill the year 2014

Diploma thesis "Launch of the public-service culture channel: Broadcast analysis of ČT art until the year 2014" describes the origin and development of the channel ČT art, including an analysis of how it influenced the transformation of ČT2. This thesis, therefore, includes the programme composition of both channels monitoring the period from autumn 2013 to autumn 2014, as well as the programme composition of ČT2 from autumn 2012. This allows us to evaluate how ČT2 attended to cultural broadcasting before the launch of the new and thematically specialized channel ČT art. Moreover, the thesis tries to point out the trends taking place in television broadcasting such as digitalization, fragmentation of TV audiences and media convergence. These trends are illustrated by using specific examples from the Czech Television, as well as the theoretical foundation. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on describing public-service media, services they provide and their roles in fulfilling the cultural needs of society. In addition, it also draws attention to examples of culturally oriented channels within Europe. Management of a film festival and its specifics

This Master thesis explores the area of film festivals. The first section describes the film festivals and their categorization. For a better comprehension of the issues part of the work is dedicated to the general and Czech history of film festivals. The work is focused on the interest groups and their impact on the functioning of film festivals. The current situation is analyzed through a selected case of the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary. All program activities are analyzed. The work describes the processes that take place during the organization of the film festival and also explores its internal and external conditions. It presents the structure of the organization team and summarizes responsibilities of its positions.
