The potential for tourism development in the South Bohemian Region
VRBOVÁ, Kateřina
The main goal of my Bachelor thesis is to analyze the potential for tourism development in the South Bohemian Region. The studied region is divided into nine tourist areas. The potential is evaluated using the modified method of Jan Bína from 2002. The highest value of potential is 229 points in the tourist area Lipensko, the lowest in Třeboňsko (166 points). The evaluation of the real use of the potential is based on a survey through questionnaires. All of the 207 questionnaires were gathered through November and December 2021. In general, the potential of the South Bohemian Region is using sufficiently. Another objective of the questionnaire research was to find out what respondents are dissatisfied with in this region, what they lack here or what they would welcome here. To increase the use of potential, I propose to build a new aquapark in Toulava, to increase the number of parking places and better promoting children's cultural events.

Havlíček, M. ; Svoboda, J. ; Skokanová, H. ; Dzuráková, M. ; Pavelková, R. ; Vyskočil, Aleš
Historic water management facilities may have various uses in the field of tourism. Some water management facilities can be adapted for purposes of board and/or lodging of visitors, which is a common alternative use of former water mills, sawmills or hammermills (workshops for processing of iron by mechanical hammer). A smaller part of water management facilities serves within tourism as attractive goals for visitors, e.g. expositions in old water mills, hammermills, paper mills, sawmills, stamping mills, hydroelectric power plants, waterworks facilities. In addition to the above examples, the preserved water management structures can also become attractive if they become part of hiking and biking trails. These include aqueducts, remains of navigation canals, old wells, preserved and extinct old weirs and dikes. Some water management objects have cultural and historical significance and are protected as cultural monuments. An evaluation of the potential of historic water management facilities in all aspects of tourism was performed in selected river basins in the Czech Republic.

There was found several critical areas, that prevent a more intensive using of the tourist offer. The main problem is eutrophication of water and the lack of tourism infrastructure. Analyse of services of Tourism in Sokolovsko
BJALONČÍKOVÁ, Vlasta
This work analyses the development of tourism in the southern part of Sokolovsko region, which is known only as a mining district. The work proposes suggestions of possible innovations for tourism. Purpose of work was to find out if the area has the potential necessary for tourism development. Nowadays trends are entertainment, healthy lifestyle and discovering new things. Sokolovsko makes use of only a small part of its potential. The area can establish its development on creation of associations, which will be connected in the way of positive feelings and then tourists will be interested in unrecognized locality. Questionnaire survey showed that the project Medard {--} water reservoir which is supposed to be number one in the region is more popular in the Czech Republic than any time before. In the past Sokolovsko was connected only with association of polluted countryside from mining of coal. It is very important to advertise and let people know more about Sokolovsko. Serious problem is almost zero existence of publications and information about the region in general. Sokolovsko should develop its sources and to present itself on expo like Holiday World, Go and Region Tour Brno. Last but not least this region should not forget about allocation into funds of EU.
