Sopoušková, Petra ; Nový, Vítězslav (referee) ; Františák, Luboš (advisor)
The project is dealing with a parking area on the border of historical centre and a motorway with block of houses in Valašské Meziříčí. The aim is a new usage of the plot but with keeping the number of parking places. The designed object works as a barrier between motorway and historical centre, where the pedestrians are preferred. The direct connection to the estate housing is provided by a pedestrian roan on the east side of the area. The new street with residential character is designed. The building has a three floors of parking with capacity of 149 parking places, the entrance is accessible by turning lane and between floors by an external ramp. One of these floors is under the level of terrain. The other two then reflect the construction heigth of the commercial space. The facade of the shops makes a visual border of the street. The shops and the parking make the platform where blocks of flats and roof gardens are situated. The communication cores for these flats goes through the whole building and is placed in between every two of houses. It leads the people to the semiprivate zone where the entrances of the flats and situated. The mass and the materials tried to not interrupt the character of the town. Aspects of sustainable development are included, mainly the social aspect of living.

The bachelor's thesis follows a project developed within the subject AG033 Studio of Architectural Creation. The subject of design is a multifunctional house, which is located in the place of a gap on a sloping, uneven terrain, which currently serves as a parking lot or market place. The design of the multifuncitonal house is located under the castle walls of the Mikulov castle gardens, on a street of Alfons Mucha. It is located in the area of the urban conversation zone, wich was declared in Mikulov in 1982. Due to the character of Mikulov and its development, where the terrain is sloping from the street, the proposed multifunctional house is optically divided by changing the roof height into two imaginary houses. but inside they still have the same floor level. Due to the fact that the adjacent buildings are about same high, the proposed multifunctional house is four-story, of which the top floor is adjacent to the attic and outdoor terrace. The first floor of a multifunctional house is assigned to commerce (cafe, rentable space). On the second and third floors there are already apartments and a porch, which allows access only to apartments that will be used only for short-term rental. There is also a great demand for the improvement of the remaining adjoining space, which is adjacent to the walls of the Mikulov castle, and also the restoration of the wine cellar, which was walled up on this plot. A staircase will be designed, which will lead from street of Alfons Mucha, through which it will be possible to connect directly to the castle walls and further to the Mikulov castle ot it will be possible to go to the wine cellar and the adjacent outdoor terrace. The facade is designed with regard to the surrounding buildings. They are designed in white or light gray plaster. I take into account the fact that the multifunctional house is located in the area of the urban conversation zone. The roof of the building is traditional gable roof, with brick colour.

The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to create project documentation for the construction of a detached apartment house on the outskirts of Vyškov city. The apartment building is designed as a partial basement, a four-story terraced building. In the basement are located cellars used for storage of each apartment unit, technical facilities of the building, and a common room. There are a total of 9 apartments on the upper floors. On the first floor and the second floor are designed apartments with category 3 + kk. On the third floor are located apartments with category 5+kk (maisonette). The apartment building is based on flat reinforced concrete foundations. The structural system of the basement is made of waterproof concrete and together with the foundation slab forms a so-called "white tub". The non-basement part is based on reinforced concrete foundation strips. The core of the building (staircase and elevator shaft) is also designed as monolithic reinforced concrete walls. The vertical load-bearing structures of the upper floors are designed as masonry from classic and acoustic sand-lime blocks. Non-load-bearing ones are made as masonry partitions either of sand-lime blocks of thickness 150 mm or 115 mm. Building envelope is designed as a ventilated facade with timber cladding. The ceilings are made as cast-in-place reinforced slabs and in some rooms, they are equipped with SDK suspended ceilings, either directly anchored or suspended. The flat roof above the 4th floor is a green roof. The 3rd floor is covered with a warm flat roof with asphalt roofing. Windows and exterior doors are aluminum and glazed with insulating triple glazing.
