Mix/Match
Hauke, Adriana ; Palaščak, Michal (referee) ; Manton, Ryan (advisor)
The project is centered around architectural design of a mixed-use building primarily tailored for residential purposes, with a specific focus on student accommodation. This decision is grounded in a thorough analysis of the surrounding area. I am proposing a design that integrates tennis club already existing on the site while introducing new functional elements. These include a café/bar, study spaces, interior sport hall with a padel court and a hostel. One of the tennis courts is on the ground and one is on a roof of the building. In my proposal, I am opening the site more to the public, allowing anyone to enjoy the views and atmosphere it offers, thereby creating a place for a community.

Valdhans, Jan ; Urbášková, Hana (referee) ; Boháč, Ivo (advisor)
Abstract In the town of Kroměříž, in an attractive location near significant heritage-protected sites such as the Květná zahrada (Flower Garden) and the forest park area of the psychiatric hospital, as well as the popular excursion spot Barbořina, there is currently an unused, relatively large undeveloped area. The city council’s intention is to construct residential buildings with minor multifunctional features in this locality. The subject of my bachelor’s thesis was to find and develop a building solution that would offer a pleasant environment and comprehensive functions to support the lives of local residents, in line with current urban development trends. My work involved creating an overall conceptual solution, an urban layout proposal for the area, and developing a project for a new multifunctional building within the scope of architectural studies.

Design of a sustainable urban structure - based on a medieval city - for the 21st century.
Čech, Daniel ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the design was to create a functional urban structure in Náměšť nad Oslavou, which works on the principles of a modern city of the 21st century, but is also inspired by elements of a medieval city. So it is a marriage of the old with the new. On this basis, a compact functional structure was designed, which functions as a complement to the existing development and does not serve as a separate unit. In the new development, therefore, elements were designed to help improve the quality of life throughout the city. Emphasis was placed on the unique character of the development, a car-free center, plenty of green space and work with natural resources. The design has a lifespan of tens to hundreds of years. The proposed development can later be extended to the space, but also to the height.

Náměstí míru - extension and rehabilitation of public space in Brno
Šnerch, Jiří ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis Peace of square - completion and reconstruction of the public space in Brno is the topic I chose to elaborate my final work. This is an urban study that seeks to find the most appropriate space solution for a newly created square. Peace Square is located in the part of Brno called Stránice, in the saddle between the Yellow Hill and Kraví hora. It is the natural center of the adjacent Masaryk district, built in the beginning of the 20th century. Significant factors influencing the design are indeed a rich background of civic amenities in the form of the Church of St. Augustine, observatory, park and swimming pool at Kraví hora, two primary schools and gymnasium near the square. The concept is based on the creation of a new compact apartment building, which forms a stable backdrop to the newly created square in front of the Church of Sts. Augustina. The square is open to the auditorium where there is a park on the hill Kraví hora. The proposal emphasizes the compactness of the building, the multifunctionality of objects and the transport hierarchy. This brings people to the forefront and their everyday life and needs. The concept reflects the modern urbanistic trends of the 21st century.
