The Proposal of Work-life Balance in Selected Company

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the strategy of selected private sector organization in the field of work - life balance and to propose measures to improve the current situation. The thesis specifies terms such as role conflict in the framework of work-life balance, gender and equal opportunities policy, the “flexicurity” concept as well as outlines a variety of measures leading to work-life balance. During the analysis, investigation via questionnaire and interview with manager of the relevant organization has been used. Based on acquired results, specific measures leading to more effective balance of work and personal life of employees of selected organization, including financial aspects of their introduction, has been proposed in the conclusion of this thesis.
Generation differences in work attitudes and diversity management

This thesis focuses on generation difference between work attitude and diversity management. The aim of this work is to describe generation differences between work attitudes and subsequently implement diversity management as a tool to improve labour productivity in working groups of diverse ages. Demographic changes lead to extension of the average life expectancy and the resulting ageing population. An ageing population has an impact on economics, as well as the social sphere. People will go into retirement later than they used to and multiple generations will encounter each other at one workplace. Diversity management should meet some of generation individual requirements to encourage their work satisfaction that could lead to higher work efficiency. Companies focused on the diversity of their work force will profit from higher competitiveness and achieve the label of socially responsible company. Data from the "Aktér 2008" research were analysed using secondary analysis. This analysis found 5 areas in which generation differences appeared. These differences were: wage value, career growth, security of work, variety of work and personal and work life balance. Position of women in the labour market

The aim of the thesis is to assess the position of women in the labour market in the Czech Republic compared to other EU countries. The theoretical part of the thesis, which is mainly used to familiarize with the terms, is divided into the following topics: labour market, gender and equal opprotunities policy. In the practical part are analysed pure statistical data, which are presented the situation of women in the labour market in the Czech Republic, in regions of the Czech Republic and in European union, where data from the Czech Republic are compared with other EU member states. The obtained data were processed into graphs and tables.

Position of women in the labour market

The subject of this thesis Position of women in the labour market is to describe the status of women in the Czech labour market and formulate reccomendations for improvement. The theoretical part presents literary overview of basic concepts about issues, especially the definition of basic terms of gender, gender segregation, discrimination, gender pay gap between men and women. In the second part are the relevant data analyzed by statistical data.
Diversity management in the selected organisation

This thesis deals with the application of diversity management in the selected organisation, namely RWE Group in the Czech Republic. It focuses on the diversity of gender and age, particularly young women - students and university graduates. The aim of the thesis is to determine what factors play a role in the decision making about first job of young women as well as the expectations from their future employers. The results are evaluated and compared with the implemented diversity programme for gender and age in the RWE Group in the Czech Republic. The thesis further provides a verification if the findings of the thesis match the expectations of the identified target group. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part introduces basic terms such as diversity, diversity management including benefits and potential challenges that come along with the implementation. The practical part presents RWE Group in the CZ and the implemented diversity programme.
Diskriminace žen na trhu práce v ČR

Tato bakalářská práce je věnována tématu rozdílné pozice žen a mužů na trhu práce v České republice se zaměřením na otázku diskriminace podle pohlaví. Úvodní kapitoly práce se zabývají základními teoretickými východisky a seznamují s legislativní úpravou rovného postavení žen a mužů a zákazu diskriminace v Evropské unii i v České republice. Následná analýza ekonomické aktivity žen a její rozbor podle různých faktorů nás seznamuje s postavením žen na trhu práce stejně jako rozbor rozdílů mezd mezi pohlavími. Objasnění problému možné diskriminace žen přináší několik studií, které se zabývají identifikací faktorů ovlivňující nerovnost mezd žen a mužů. V závěru práce jsou nastíněny možnosti vedoucí ke zlepšení situace žen na trhu práce a zmírnění možné diskriminace žen.
