Empathy of leisure educators and its influence on chidren of older school age during extracurricular interest activities

The objective of this work is to explore the perspectives of pedagogues on the concept of free time with empathy, particularly focusing on their views regarding empathetic behaviour towards older school-age children during extracurricular activities within their professional domain. Additionally, the research aims to investigate the impact of empathetic behaviour on older school-aged children during extracurricular activities, as perceived by pedagogues, and to identify potential challenges they may encounter in their practice. The theoretical framework, structured into three main sections, draws upon various theoretical sources pertinent to the subject matter. It delves into diverse perspectives on empathy, emphasizes the significance of free time and its utilization, particularly highlighting the engagement of children and youth in extracurricular pursuits. A special emphasis is placed on the role of the leisure-time educator in this context. Furthermore, the theoretical discussion includes an exploration of the characteristics of the target demographic of youth in the pubertal phase, elucidating the specificities associated with this developmental stage. Psychological aspects related to the topic are also addressed within the theoretical framework. The practical segment of the study outlines the foundational parameters of the research methodology, which entails a qualitative investigation conducted through exploratory semi-structured interviews with educators. The data obtained from these interviews are analysed and interpreted using open coding techniques to fulfil the research objectives. Finally, the findings of the study are synthesized, and the attainment of the research goals is assessed.

The portfolio includes a professional essay on the topic of Collaborative Artistic Creation between Child and Parent in a Ceramics Course. Additionally, there is a summary of the book "Čáry, klikyháky, paňáci a auta: výtvarný projev a psychický život dítěte" by Jaromír Uždil, a professional profile of a leisure-time educator, a case study of the educational institution "Dům dětí a mládeže," and preparation for a leisure-time ceramics course. The author's professional growth is mapped throughout the entire work. She drew from her experiences and milestones documented here during her studies, practice, and from professional literature. The work is designed to be a useful summary of acquired knowledge and the acquisition of new insights beneficial to her practice.
Human in photograph in a leisure pedagogy

The bachelor's thesis deals with the growth of interest in creative activities within photography. The theoretical part deals with the concept of leisure, which is divided into subsections on leisure pedagogy, interest, animation and the leisure educator. It then focuses on the history of photography in the 20th century and the relationship between photography and leisure. It further discusses the portrait, which was a central theme for human photography, and photographing it in the natural light of a window, outdoors, or with studio artificial lighting. The practical part is devoted to an educational project that was organized in three photographic blocks in DDM with children aged 10-13. The method sheets describe the realized blocks including the theme, task, educational goals, motivation, technique, material, time allocation, course of the activity, assessment and reflection of the realized activity.
How the teacher perceives his work as a leisure teacher.

The diploma thesis focuses on the topic of how a teacher perceives their job as a leisure-time teacher. The main point of the whole thesis is to search for an answer to the following research question: "How teachers who, apart from teaching, lead after-school clubs perceive their work as leisure-time teachers?" The goal of the thesis will be to obtain subjective statements from specific teachers in relation to the research question. The theoretical part characterizes basic terms connected to key philosophical and pedagogical terms from the field of pedagogics. The empirical part is realized by means of qualitative research using in-depth.
Specific¨s work of leisure time teacher in prison.

This Bachelor thesis, named "Particularities of Work of Leisure Time Teacher and Educator in Prison ", deals with the basic terms of the prison system and a brief description of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic in the first theoretical part. In the next part, the thesis focuses on the work of a leisure time teacher and educator and also on the professions in these fields. The studying of reference books, organizing and drawing up of the work was used to finish the theoretical part. The aim of the practical part was to find out what the particularities of leisure time teachers and educators in prison are. Also, to determine the biggest differences between these professions and what they have in common. The questionnaire was used to find the answers to these questions. The research was implemented in the Detention Prison of České Budějovice. It was qualitative research with united questions. The questionnaire was printed and given to the respondents. The respondents were divided into two imaginary groups (R1, R2) according to their answers to the first question. Then the respondents were matched to the groups. Finally, the thesis describes and explains the confirmation or disproval of the assumptions.
Modern dance instructor as a leisure time teacher

The bachelor thesis is concentrated on the instructor of modern dance who is influencing other people as the leisure educator. The author defines the term modern dance and also characterize particularities of this sports field. The thesis also deals with the dance as type of a leisure activity and it briefly characterizes the leisure education concentrated mainly on the dance and education of leisure activities. The piece of work is focused on the children at the age between six and eleven years. The author also characterizes the evolution of the children and their physical abilities and the readers of the thesis are able to find out something about the educational methods of the leisure educator as well. The last chapter focuses on the personality of the leisure educator. Furthermore, this part defines the aims of his work and the scope of his activity. The bachelor thesis also concentrates on the leisure educator in the field of dancing, mainly the modern one.
Influence of studium of the play on music instrument at Elementary school of Art for further student´s and graduate's orientation

The Bachelor's thesis, "The Effect of Studying a Music Instrument in the Elementary school of Art with the Life direction for Pupils and Graduates," has theoretically empirical character. The theoretical part discusses leisure issues, education in leisure time in the Czech Republic, the developmental characteristics of the school-age period and the personality of the leisure educator. The empirical section describes the effect of study playing the instrument at the Elementary school of Art in Třeboň on their pupils' leisure time, the advantages and disadvantages pupils felt during their studies, what was the motivation of pupils to study at the Elementary School of Art, the relationships pupils formed between themselves and their teacher and how pupils were influenced by the Primary Art School when choosing their future profession. The research investigation took the form of a semi-structured interview with pupils and graduates of the Elementary school of Art in Třeboň.
Leisure time activities of younger school age children of selected elementary school

The topic of this diploma thesis is spending leisure time of younger school-aged children. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with children's leisure time and pedagogical influence on their leisure time, hobby educational facilities, socialization, leisure games and school after class. Also with prevention od risky behaviour in leisure time. The recent closure of schools due to the covid-19 pandemic is also mentioned. The main goal od the thesis is to find out how children of younger school-age of the selected primary school spend their leisure time. Another goals are to find out which hobby groups do children attend and if they attend a school after class. Also, how children dealt with the closure of schools. The research tool is a structured questionnaire. The practical part of thesis describes and evaluates the research on spending leisure time of younger school-aged children of selected primary school in Prague. A description of the school, respondents and course of the resarch is also included there. Then the answers to the individual questions of the questionnaire are evalutaded. This is followed by a discussion summarizing the results of the research. At the end of thesis is a pedagogical output.
