Everyday fashion show
Rémanová, Jana ; Šagát, Petr (referee) ; Ruller, Tomáš (advisor)
Work is dealing with the problems of unusual clothing and conflict with surroundings. The work includes research of what is regarded as weird, extravagant and alternative in everyday fashion, but also designs of outfits inspired by research made by questionnaires and finally realization of artistic performances in public places. The result of the project is information obtained from the research of one hundred respondents. Furthermore, a series of ten "costumes", which show the stimuli obtained from previous research from selected questionnaires. Each model is an example of the stereotype of what was found to be eccentric in dress. In these models, a performance was subsequently performed in public. All individual phases of project creation are presented as a whole and presented as a bachelor's thesis.
Karyotype evolution in estrildid finches of the genus Lonchura
Janáková, Šárka ; Reifová, Radka (advisor) ; Augstenová, Barbora (referee)
The karyotype, the set of all chromosomes in a cell, is an important characteristics of individual species of both animals and plants. The karyotype of birds is typically stable in terms of the number of chromosomes and their size, and rearrangements between different chromosomes are rare. The changes that occur between the karyotypes of avian species are more often intrachromosomal, such as inversions or duplications and deletions. It is still unclear how often such changes occur between closely related species and whether they can contribute to speciation. This work aims to compare the karyotypes of a total of five closely related species of songbirds of the genus Lonchura (munias and mannikins). Comparing chromosomal changes in such recently diverged species allows us to observe changes that might contribute to speciation. The study is based on karyotype analysis by immunofluorescence staining of synapsed pachytene chromosomes and subsequent identification and comparison of chromosome types. This method allows determination of the changes that are manifested by pericentric inversions where the position of the centromere is changed. The results confirm the general idea of avian karyotypes as very conservative in terms of chromosome number and their sizes. However, in some chromosomes we observed...
What do children do when they play? Acts of game with a doll and a toy car
Zborníková, Dana ; Smetáčková, Irena (advisor) ; Sotáková, Hana (referee)
Game is a key activity in preschool age, theme of my thesis is therefore related to acts of game and a role of toys in this particular age. Aim of my research is to describe gaming activities with toys, primarily with a doll and a toy car, which are the most typical toys for preschool children. It is very important for kindergarten teachers to know childrens preferences and attitude to the most used types of toys, because it is them, who choose the offer of toys and equipment of class. In theoretical part, I try to find out which areas of development are affected by game. Practical part deals with a semi-structured observation of game process and it determines game's gender dimension. By a method of interview with 27 parents and 25 children I try to find out their knowledge of basic toys, choice of toy itself, which toys kids possess and which toys they prefer. It can be expected, that preschool age children have built a basic gender identity, that is perceived by them as partly changeable. For this reason, my research focuses on gender distinctiveness, which could occur during an interview or a game. The research has proved gender categorization of dolls and toy cars. Children and parents had both a similar idea about toys intended for boys or girls. Children have about 200 different toys at...

Plays with toy cars and dolls from the perspective of the activity theory
Erhartová, Nikola ; Smetáčková, Irena (advisor) ; Sotáková, Hana (referee)
The thesis is focused on plays of preschool children with toy cars and dolls in kindergarten. The work is based especially on the activity theory. According to it the game is an essential activity of children and it has an influence on their development. Knowing that the game can be beneficial for children, I set as the main objective of the work to find out which actions with toys are performed and which areas they may develop. The work is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part presents basis of the work. It contains four main chapters which deal with the preschool period, toy and play in a child's life and play from the perspective of the activity theory. The qualitative research is described in the empirical part. The main method for acquiring data was observation. I observed 30 plays total that were analyzed subsequently. Interviews were conducted as additional method. The research sample consisted of 15 children. On the basis of play analysis I have found out that toys were used individually or in the gender homogeneous groups. Gender mixed play was observed only in two cases during a play with car/train toys. Boys played both with car toys and dolls. Girls played with dolls, they did not choose car toys on their own. From the viewpoint of the play content the...

Doll- artistic artifact, Design ball jointed doll.
RATSCHMANOVÁ, Lucie
The theme of this work is doll as a toy, collectible art and artifact. The theoretical part describes the historical development of dolls. It refers the phenomenon of BJD, ball jointed dolls. These dolls fall under the art doll, that is why I present the most important creators of these art dolls. Art dolls are created in different genres, one of them is fantasy, so I explain possible alternatives in the name and description. The practical part deals with the design BJD inspired by fantasy literature. Were completed three dolls, elf, fairy and mermaid, so their image fits with the character and the description of the creatures.
