Children´s group as one of the forms of preschool education

The topic of the presented bachelor's thesis is the children's group as one of the forms of preschool education and training. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the topic of education and training in preschool institutions. It discusses the children's group as an alternative to pre-school education in kindergarten This part of the thesis also compares children's groups with kindergarten - pointing out the different and similar features of both of these institutions. The research in the practical part of the thesis was based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. The questionnaire survey method was used for the quantitative part, and the interview method was used for the qualitative part. The research group consisted of parents of children attending a children's group. The common goal of the research was to determine how the parents of children attending a children's group view the children's group, to discover their motivation for choosing it over other institutions, and to find what parents believe the purpose of children's groups is. The research showed that parents have a positive attitude towards children's groups and evaluate the service of child care in a children's group as beneficial. They perceive the children's group as a fully satisfactory alternative to kindergartens which can significantly help with the lack of places in kindergartens. Above all, parents are motivated to choose a children's group over other institutions not only by its specifics, but also by their own needs as well as the needs of their children. They see the meaning of children's groups primarily in helping them harmonize their family and work life.

Application of Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment in Preschool Education

This master's thesis deals with the Instrumental Enrichment Method of Reuven Feuerstein. It provides an introduction to the method as well as examples of its application in institutionalized Preschool education. The aim of the thesis is to provide insight into aspects of introducing the method as a part of Preschool education. The theoretical part desribes the theoretical framework of the method and defines the method in relation to Preschool education. The theoretical part of the thesis also deals with the principles and Czech legislation of current Preschool education and related inclusive education. The practical part of the thesis derives from a qualitative research on the real practice introduction of the method in institutionalized Preschool education. Research data are based on individual interviews with the nursery school headmasters. The interviewers were from various nursery schools across the Czech Republic, which are registered in the Register of Ministry of Education. The results of the research provide the respondents's opinions and experiences of various extent. Many overlaps were found in content of testimonies, which provides method enrichment in various areas of institutionalized preschool education. Comparison of Infant Groups and Kindergartens

This bachelor thesis is comparing infant groups and kindergardens. The Theoretical part of this thesis deals with the meaning of preschool education, its formation and the development of preschool facilities while focusing on the care of children attending preschool education at infant groups or kindergartens. It describes differences in alimentation, number and age of children attending, educational programs within as well as hygiene requirements for space and service of those facilities. The goal of this thesis was to compare hygiene requirements for space and service and conditions for educational activities at infant groups or kindergarten. For research part, I used quality research with observation and half structured interview. The researchers group contained two infant groups and three kindergartens of South Bohemian region. Those facilities were chosen randomly. Total of five interviews were conducted. Obtained data were divided into categories and for each category two mind maps were made - one of these maps shows answers from kindergarten and the other one answers from infant's groups. Each of those maps was later described. In the research, I looked for differences in alimentation of infant's groups and kindergartens. One of the differences is that infant groups are not required to provide alimentation services. This obligation is than transferred to the parents, who then has to bring food from home to the facility. Another fact is that educational program is not required at infant's groups. I found out from research, when there is education, number of kids and their age don't project on the educational activity. The assumption was that alleviation of hygienic conditions for rooms of daily stay, outside area and hygienic facility of infant groups will show during the operation. This has not ben confirmed by the research. The alleviation of hygienoc conditions, on the contrary, is not apparent and it is due to the fact that there are less childeen in an infant group and they are of considerably youger age than kids in a kindergarten.

We are dealing with the division of pre-school institutions into state, non-state and private. We describe the possibilities of alternative education. Definition of legislative documentation of pre-school education. The research section focuses on non-state and private preschool institutions. What these devices differ from state kindergarten and what they offer in pre-school education.

Preschool Education in Private Institution

This bachelor thesis deals with the preschool education and child care in private institutions. The theoretical part describes the development of preschool education since the year 1989 until the contemporary approach and lists the available alternative forms of education in the Czech Republic. Additionally, this part mentions private institutions which provide education and care for children under school age and their legislative anchoring. At the end of the theoretical part, the characteristics of the conditions of preschool education are described. In the practical part, there is an evaluation of the results of the survey that was conducted via a questionnaire whose respondents were the founders of preschool establishments. Furthermore, the methods of observation and analysis of the documents were used in three private preschool facilities in České Budějovice. The data acquired reflect the approach of the founders of the private institutions, their programmes and care conditions in them.

Children's Groups as an Alternative to Kindergarten

This bachelor thesis deals with the children´s groups. It describes the care of children in children´s groups and for what reason do the parents choose them. The theoreticel part contains chapters dedicated to the importance of preschool education, the origin and development of preschool institutions, the position and function of czech preschool institutions in the present, their types and alternative.One of the subchapters deals with the preschool institutions abroad, which are characteristic as well as children´s group care for children up to early care. In the practical part there are described used methods of qualitative research and presented the found results.This is a case of study of two children´s groups.

Women and their return to work after parental leave

The bachelor thesis focuses on the problematics of women and their return to work after parental leave. The theoretical part highlights the importance of both family and work, employment of women from both historical and modern points of view and family policy focusing especially on maternity and parental leave. System of care services for children up to the age of six is mentioned, as well as state measurements for keeping balance between family and career. The practical part appraises the results of the survey that has been conducted. Mothers whose children had joined kindergartens in the region of Strakonice were asked in it at the end of February and beginning of March 2013. They were asked about their return to work after finishing their parental leave, various aspects that can influence it and whether they would welcome the possibility of establishing state nursery schools.
