Analysis of the Production of Pressure Vessels
Schiller, Pavel ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the optmization of the manufacturing process of pressure vessels. Primarily, the thesis is focused on optimization of bottom and throat forging operations, because only these operations must be performed in a three-shift system, unlike the other operations that are performed in a two-shift system. After the analysis, the inefficient operations have been identified and the goal was to eliminate them. We have found a solution to this situation as an automation of the critcal operation. We have compared the present and proposed solution by capacity calculation. Subsequently, the technical- economic evaluation has been performed which was a basis for the determnation of investment return related to the automation of the critical operation
Optimization of wax pattern technology in the company Alucast
Šmatelka, Jakub ; Cileček, Jarmil (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the problem of wax patterns manufacturing in investment casting technology (lost wax process). This technology is very sensitive to the exact execution in each phase of the whole process, from concept design up to the final casting expedition. During most operations, dimensional changes occur, which is affecting the accuracy of the final casting. No matter how big these changes are, but especially if they occur with the least variance. One of the first phases in this technology is making wax patterns. There are several ways of making the wax patterns and this thesis is describing two different methods used in the Alucast foundry. One is based on using “soft waxes” enabling using low pressure machines, the other one on the “hard waxes” where the injection machine with higher presses is being used (SOM). These two above mentioned technologies are compared in this work.
Optimization in conveyer rollers production
Veverka, Štěpán ; Heinl, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rumíšek, Pavel (advisor)
Presented document deals with optimization in conveyer rollers production in accordance with rationalizing project for Transroll – CZ, s.r.o. company. With consideration of available literature from section of technological projection and technology of machining, the industrial process is analyzed with focus on material flow and layout solution of factory shop. Consecutively the options of possible machines allocation are designed, which eliminate some disadvantages of default position. Selection of suitable option, its evaluation and technical-economic evaluation of whole project are also parts in this document.
APPROACH TO REDUCING LEAD TIME IN MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS
Hromková, Ivana ; Škopán, Miroslav (referee) ; Šťastný, Jiří (referee) ; Mostýn, Vladimír (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
Presented PhD thesis aims at development of new methodologies and approaches to reduce lead times in production systems. Therefore the thesis examines in detail the design of new, more comprehensive approaches to shortening lead times. The dissertation describes the methodology of using these approaches in production systems, it is suggested their inclusion in the control structure of production and adequate managerial support for the successful application of these new approaches in the industry is developed. The first part summarizes current knowledge in the field of reducing lead times. The various methods that can be used for reducing lead times are defined and described, from which is selected discrete simulation of manufacturing systems as a suitable method for the purposes of issue development. The next part of this work is therefore devoted to simulation approach to reducing lead times and the factors that affect them, such as processing time, size of the batch, queue lengths, etc. In this part is also discussed the use of information technologies (programming languages, libraries, and software tools) that enable efficient creation of simulation models. The second part is focused on industrial applications implemented to reduce production lead times. Specific simulation analysis deal with, for example, reduction of the lead time for manufacture of surgical instruments, screws, slats, but also transport systems, optimization of production orders input to the production system, the issue of supply, etc. The second part also describes a practical approach to data transfer to / from the simulation model, simulation software connection to the ERP database of enterprise and energy intensity of production. The conclusion summarizes the findings that were detected on the issue of reducing lead times, and within the chosen methodology, simulation of manufacturing processes indicates possible further progress in the research and practical applications.
Optimizing the production process chamber 80C
List, Jaroslav ; Zemčík, Oskar (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to suggest optimisations of the production process of chamber 80C at various stages of production and assess their applicability. The main emphasis is on reducing production costs. In the first chapter we analyze specifications and requirments of the customer. There is a suggested optimisation of procedures. In the theoretical part of thesis we analyze materiál, welding methods and production technologies used to manufacture parts of the working chamber. In the practical part we assess the applicability of possible methods of welding and cutting. We will choose parts of the weldment suitable for optimization and dedicate the optimisation suggested in the first chapter. In the conclusion we assess the optimisation suggestions from the economic point of view.
APS system application for planning and scheduling
Zápotočný, Václav ; Hromková, Ivana (referee) ; Simeonov, Simeon (advisor)
Master's thesis, made at the Institute of Production Machines, Systems and Robotics, aims, evaluate existing production of slope mowers manufactured by Dvořák – svahové sekačky s.r.o., and then perform data collection for obtaining complete technological processes of production. With the APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) system, simulate and design an optimized solution, with a view to significantly reduce the required storage current inventory of manufactured parts for assembly of that slope mower.
Design of clamping device for machining of manifold part
Foltýn, Jan ; Mazal, Pavel (referee) ; Svoboda, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with clamping fixtures. It aims to design an effective clamping solution for machining parts on a milling machine. The clamping solution was designed and then verified by a series of calculations. The main goal and partial objectives were fulfilled. The output is the design of fixture, which can clamp given part. Subsequently, based on the calculations it was decided to use four of these fixtures on one machining table. When calculating the appropriate variation of the fixture layout, an estimate of the time required for the operations performed by the machine operator was made. The thesis offers an overview of the materials used in the automotive industry. Furthermore, the study of clamps and clamping systems. It also touches the problem of optimizing manufacturing process and demand for ways to speed up the manufacturing process.
Durability testing of replaceable inserts in cylindrical turning of carbon steel
Smolík, Martin ; Vítek, Jiří (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The thesis deals with the problems in the field of durability testing of replaceable inserts for longitudinal steel turning. The main objective of the thesis is the analysis of the cutting process based on the results of the performed cutting tests. The cutting tests will be carried out comparatively by testing pairs of inserts, compared to each other. Wear observation is carried out by optical method using a workshop microscope and special software designed to process the acquired images. The output of the work will be an illustration of the different behaviour of the standard and the upgraded set of cutting inserts under different configurations of cutting conditions. The work provides a comprehensive view of the cutting tool testing process and quantifies the degree of influence of the various factors entering into the cutting edge wear process.
