Application of Management Control System for Comparison of Planned and Actual Performance of the Company and for Future Planning

The master's thesis deals with application of Management Control System methods, described in theoretical part of the thesis. In analytical part, those methods are used for comparison of planned performance of individual trucks in the transport company with real performance of those trucks in year 2017. Detected deviations from the plan are further analysed, in order to identify their sources and to formulate corrective measures to eliminate them. This knowledge is put to use in the proposal part, in order to create plan for year 2018, which takes into account established facts and corrective measures from previous year. Finally, part of the plan for year 2018 is compared with real data collected by the company in that period, in order to assess the plan’s accuracy, identify deviations from the plan and their sources.

Information System of Technical Support

This master's thesis deals with the analysis of the requirements placed on the technical support information system which should be used in the software developing company. The basic functions of this system are the collecting of information about all kinds of work which the company employees concentrate on and the possibility of statistics generating. Moreover, it is also possible to implement further extensions to the system which will not only enable other functions, that are not related to the primary goal of the system, to be integrated; but also to define new user roles, for which various limited parts of the system will be accessible.

Process performance planning

This thesis deals with the operational planning of production at DT – Výhybkárna a strojírna, a.s., specifically evaluating impacts of the passage of an exceptional order on manufacturing process. Aim is to analyze the current state of process management, to evaluate the impact of additional interventions into the processes and to quantify the costs associated with this intervention in the planned production. All with the minimum cost and maximum efficiency at a given quality. The goal is achieved by simulating of inserting an exceptional order in the enterprise information system.

Use of Controlling at a Company

This master thesis deals with the analysis of current system of control and state of control in company PREMO Ltd. The SWOT analysis is processed in strategic planning, followed by Porter's Five Forces Model. To assess the economic situation there are selected indicators used of operational planning for the last 3 years, then evaluate the processes of Marketing and Sales and Altman Index and Du Pont Analysis. The result of controlling will be the implementation of the controller, defining his obligations and responsibilities. The second proposal is dealt with improving the internal processing of information using the reporting.

Controlling

Enterprise-wide planning process, comparing the plan with reality, evaluating deviations and reporting are the most important aspects of corporate governance in the current period. Controller assigned irreplaceable function of initiator, coordinator and methodology in the entire planning process. Part of planning is the preparation of operational plans and budgets, which are the central theme of this work. This work covers applications controlling methods and tools for portfolio of managed projects (companies providing rental of commercial space). The nature and importance of controlling, controlling selected methods and analysis is explained in the theoretical part. In the second, practical part was, after the analysis of costs and revenues, prepared a model of corporate budget and its component parts

Growing competitiveness in energy sector, uncertainty about economic growth and increasing regulation all lead to diminishing growing potential for a energy company. It is a challenge for business management and business planning to search, create and explore company's potential. Therefore planning process in the studied energy company E.ON is analysed as a management tool for implementation of company strategy. The strategy itself is analysed in order to evaluate mid-term planning in E.ON. The subplans, financial indicators and key performance indicators are evaluated. New system of key performance indicators is designed.

Controllership

The diploma thesis focuses on the problems of operational controllership and the instruments used for their solution. In connection with these issues the thesis also defines the role of the controller, in particular his authorities and responsibilities. The theoretical part of the work looks at the academic conception of controlleship. The practical part describes the main functions, duties, activities and the system of cooperation in between controllership and other departments in particular company. The main aim of the diploma thesis is to compare two main streams of the controllership historial evolution - german stream is pictured in the theoretical part and english stream is pictured in the practical part. All the information used in the thesis were taken from listed literature and also obtained by means of analysis of the company's internal data.

Operation management represents processes, which goal is optimal workfllow with efficient input usage. Management of changes is characterized as group of processes which relates to additional product technological or construction documentation.
