Curricular Reforms in Great Britain

This bachelor thesis is focused on curricular reforms in Great Britain during 20th century. These reforms are compared with changes in education in the Czech Republic. The content itself brings a particular identification and description of British education in the period as well as an analogy to reforms carried out in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the issue of school leisure facilities operation in respect to the curricular reform is outlined in brief.
History of Chemistry Production in the Czech Republic Territory

This thesis deals with the chemical production and its history in the Czech Republic. The chemical production has its long tradition in the Czech Republic. In the first chapter the thesis focuses on the topic of the chemical production in the national curriculum and selected school curriculums in the Chrudim region and the Pardubice region. In the second chapter it analyses the production of various chemicals described in the present and former elementary school textbooks of Chemistry. It also concerns historical Chemistry textbooks published since the year 1945 in which other facts that are not being included in the present textbooks are mentioned and enlarge the synthesis. The history of the notable and traditional chemical production in the Czech Republic is the component of this thesis in the third chapter. This thesis summarizes all the facts concerning the chemical production so that it could be used by teachers and students who are interested in studying the subject of Chemistry. The Process of Education in nursery school in France

Title of the thesis: The process of education in nursery school in France This thesis deals with the process of education in nursery school in France. This topic concerns all pedagogic influence on the child while attending the school. The preparation of the work is based on the literary and the practical research. The practical research we chose is an observation of the teaching proces in nursery school and an interview with the teachers of these schools. The content of the thesis is divided into five essential domains. The first is the introduction to the theme of the process of education in nursery school. This part focuses on the objectives of the education and limits the period spent in nursery school. The second domain presents the conditions and organisitional factors of education. The third domain analyses the educational activities - their characteristic, classification and their connection with domains of progression from the national curriculum. The fourth domain deals with concrete examples of the activities. The last domain talks about the evaluation and by this conclude the theme of process of education. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the selected strategic documents of education in the European Union, in the Czech Republic and in the Liberec region. This thesis summarizes knowledge of the development in the European area, the development of legislation and the national attitude from the point of view of strategies of education. The conclusion is based on the previous attitudes mentioned above and compared with the National Programme of Education. Relevant opinions of politicians and experts influencing the further development of the education system in the Czech Republic are presented in the thesis as well. The conclusion of this thesis is the case study of requirements of the National Programme of Education. The theses defines the frame of the National Programme of Education in the Czech Republic and suggests the possible content and related executive structure.

Communication abilities of pupils with autism in the Czech Republic and Great Britain

The special educational needs teaching practice varies in many European countries. From the Czech Republic with its strictly differentiated Special Educational Needs framework which belongs under the Special Education, to Great Britain that has great inclusive policies and differentiates the National Curriculum according to each pupil learning needs. During my work experience within special education needs teaching practice in Great Britain and the Czech Republic I have observed the benefits of each system. I would like to share the experience so I have narrowed my interested to the pupils with autistic spectrum disorder and their communication skills. To find the right communication approach is the crucial point in education of pupils with autistic spectrum disorder. In course of five years I have been observing six different pupils with autistic spectrum disorder based in various special schools in the Czech Republic and Great Britain. I have noted which communication approaches were chosen at the beginning of their school entrance and how it influenced their success in the learning subject of Jazyk a jazyková komunikace and English. The bachelor thesis deals with the theme of comparison of systems of education in the Czech Republic and in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland with focus on education of foreign languages at secondary schools. The systems of education of both countries are introduced and compared in terms of framework educational programme and National curriculum. The work with terminology is also pointed out by translation of technical terms into the Czech language. The practical part is focused on a lesson plan with the aim to present the differences of Czech and British system of education to the pupils of the ninth class. The thesis includes an insertion of the lesson plan to the Methodical portal RVP.CZ as a sample lesson of a cross- sectional theme of Multicultural education.

The main aim of my final thesis is the comparison of bilingual education in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom, with the focus on Wales and England. Regarding to be able to make this comparison, I had to focus first on history as well as recent trends in European education policy in the field of language and bilingual education, as well as the history and basis of bilingual education, the definition of Czech bilingual education, defining the British education system, defining the British bilingual education with a focus on England and Wales and a comparison of Czech and British bilingual education. Contribution of my work is that the investigation was carried out and compared to the current phenomenon of bilingual education in the international dimension.
