Residential complex Brno Holasky, V Aleji locality

Master´s thesis proposes the design of low-rise residential complex in the city Brno - Tuřany, the cadastral territory Holásky. The location is defined from the west by the stream Černovický potok with natural monument - lakes Holásecká jezera, from the east by railway line Brno - Uherské Hradiště and from south by street U Potoka. The proposed area is west of the street V Aleji. The main objective was to use the framework conditions of the specified territory, propose urbanistic quality residential complex without losing the connection with the original structure of the township and to ensure full-fledged facilities for living, walking ,resting and recreation of the population.
Electric buses

This bachelor work is dealing with the topic of electric buses, especially from the point of view concerning the design of traction components within the vehicle. The first part of the thesis is concerned with the history and a gradual development of electric cars, especially electro buses. The second part contains the summary of the most commonly used supply chambers of electric energy; the suitability of the usage of types of these supply chambers is also mentioned. The attention is paid to the location of such supply chambers within the vehicle as well. The following chapter is dealing with the traction electric engines – their most commonly used types, and the end of the chapter is concerned with the most usual placement of such components in the vehicle with the list of plus and cons for individual kinds. In the fourth chapter are listed certain types of electric buses in the contemporary market, with the emphasis laid on the construction solution of individual producers. The last but one chapter contains the summary of what direction is the current market of electric buses moving to, and what is the current development of this field. The very last chapter is the practical one, where I am trying to show the simplified method when calculating the optimal capacity of the batteries needed for the chosen route of the electric bus.

This design is based on the site's strong potential in regards to its attractive location near Brno city centre and at the same time its proximity to nature. The solution of volumes results from an effort to create a system of public through private spaces while maintaining the continuity of the whole. This residential complex can offer apartments of all sizes, from flatlets to five bedroom flats and even houses. It also provides its neighborhood with new possibilities to shop and to spend time outdoors.
Low-rise apartment buildings in Řečkovice

The goal of this bachelor's thesis was to design a low-rise apartment building in Řečkovice district, Brno, which would be used for elderly housing. The land on which the building is planned to be located is currently densely overgrown with greenery, but there are two buildings planned to be built in the eastern part of the land already. The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of the western part of the land. The design consists of one four-story building containing 25 separate housing units, each for one to two residents. Each apartment has its own balcony facing either the private or the public part of the garden. In addition, social areas and other services for seniors are designed to be in the building. The design includes cutting down the overgrown vegetation on the property and designing a small park for gatherings. This bachelor's thesis is based on the studio of architectural creation from the second academic year.
Low-rise apartments in Řečkovicích

Bachelor thesis „low-rise apartment buildings in Řečkovice“ handle a new construction of apartment building in Brno, district Řečkovice. The plot is currently unused. In its lower part close to the street Terezy Novákové are designed two new apartment buildings, that will comply with the street line. The second part of the plot is the solved territory. The project is based on an architecture study, which was made as a part of the subject AG032 – Atelier architektonické tvorby II. The designed apartment building has four floors with apartments from one to three rooms. It has 12 apartments overall, a rentable place on the first floor, cellars and bicycle room. The rentable place has separate entrance. Outdoor parking spaces are designed as part of the building. The plot is slightly sloped, and the building corresponds with that. The mass of the building is moved to compensate the slope, and to make residential terraces, that are made of green roof and supplemented with high attic with greens. The new construction is made of Ytong bricks insulated with mineral wool. The foundation of the house is made up of footing and piles because of low bearing capacity of the soil.
Urban and architectural study of low-rise urban housing
