Title: Influence of compensation program on body posture of the seniors. Objectives: The aim of this work is to assess the effectiveness of a two-month compensation program for posture in probands in senior age. The program consists of exercises according to Janda's method of sensomotoric stimulation, breathing exercises and foot massage. Methods: It is a qualitative research of an empirical nature. The study takes the form of a quasi- experiment. Selection of the test group was intentional according to the purpose technique. Participants were selected according to a predeterminated characteristic. Four women aged 83 to 87 years participated in the research. The empirical data of measured probands were collected by using the Klein, Thomas and Mayer View method, Crampton's tests, Thomayer distance, plantogram and photographic documentation. Results: After a two-month compensation program, differences in posture were noted in using the Klein, Thomas and Mayer method. Crampton tests showed improvement in one of the participants and Thomayer distance showed an improvement in spinal movement of two probands out of two measured. According to plantograms, the improvement of the longitudinal arch was demonstrated in three participants and the position of the fingers improved in all participants. Keywords:...

Title: Screening of musculoskeletal system and level of physical activity in children of younger school age Objectives: The aim of the study is to asseess physical activity of school age in primary school in Dolní Břežany and try to find the most common risk factors for motor development of children in school age. Another aim of the study is to find statistical context between flat foot and age, gender, hypermobility, shortened hamstring muscles, lumbar hyperlordosis, level of core muscles and overweight and between winged scapula and age, gender, hypermobility, shortened m. trapezius and mm. pectorales and level of core muscles. Methods: The research was carried out by using non-standardized questionnaire to assess physical activity. Level of motor development was evaluated by group of physiotherapists. The research population was chosen purposefully by contractual research which consisted of 298 children who study on primary school in Dolní Břežany. For statistical analysis of all measured was used Microsoft Excel software. These data were evaluated by Chi - squared test and logistic regression. Results: It was found that the largest number of children does sports 2-4 hours a week. The most common risk factor of motor development of children is winged scapula and shortened hamstring muscles....

This research thesis speaks about humoral aspects of common musculoskeletal diseases. In the beginning, we present the most common diagnoses in physical therapy connected to body substances. For that reason, the thesis also gives a brief review of laboratory diagnostic methods that is often crucial for successful diagnosis of certain diseases and their aetiology. Also, the laboratory testing plays an important role in so called Red flags, signalising serious pathologies which should not be excluded forgotten in diagnostic thinking, especially in cases where the therapy is inefficient. Lastly, patient's psychological state significantly influences these parameters.
The impact of tennis on the musculoskeletal system
Sitařová, Klára ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Kočíb, Tomáš (referee)
Name: The impact of tennis on the musculoskeletal system Context: Due to the characteristics of tennis as a unilateral loading of the musculoskeletal system, it is likely that numerous muscle imbalances appear. Aim: The aim of my bachelor thesis was to determine the impact of tennis on the musculoskeletal system. Due to the characteristics and style of tennis and therefore the unilateral loading of the locomotive apparatus my thesis was primarily based on muscular dysbalance which I detected by the TMG measuring device. Methods of the research: This bachelor thesis was implemented as a qualitative research in the form of six case studies. The tensiomyograf TMG 100 was used to diagnose muscle imbalance in the selected muscle groups. Results: In five participants out of the total of six there was a shortening of the muscle biceps brachii on the dominant side and a slackening of the muscle biceps brachii on the contralateral side. Moreover in five of the six participants there was a slackening found in the muscle deltoideus anterior and in all six of the participants there was a slackening found in the muscle deltoideus posterior on the dominant side, and in five out of six participants there was a shortening detected in the muscle deltoideus anterior on the contralateral side, and in all the six...

BUŘIČOVÁ, Kateřina
The bachelor thesis deals with the teaching of a Physical Education at the University of South Bohemia in the city of Ceske Budejovice from the view of physiotherapy. In the first part of this thesis are described the anatomy and physiology of the axial system, the muscles of the deep stabilization system of the spine and fascias. Also there is a description of the scoliosis as a pathological condition of an axial system. In the last chapter there are information about principle and dividing of stretching. In the second part there is practical research uses mixed methods. The research set contains nineteen respondents Faculty of Education and Physiotherapy students. The research set was chosen according to specified criteria. The data were collected during the observation and interview. Every respondent was interviewed face to face. The main target was to map the teaching of Physical Education at the University of South Bohemia form the view of Physiotherapy at the chosen set. The main target by the students of the Faculty of Education was to get know if they perceive the sport in a context of healthy exercise. By the students of Physiotherapy, who have the Physical Education in their curriculum, was researched if they are educated with respect to healthy exercises. The research in the first group shows that these students have very low knowledge about the deep stabilization system of the spine and its importance for doing an physical activity. On the other side they perceive the stretching as a significant part of exercise. The students of Physiotherapy are not satisfied with current teaching of Physical Education, which lack versatility, diversity and connection with Physiotherapist knowledge.

Title: The influence of a swimming program on functional status of the senior's musculoskeletal system: A Case Report Objectives: The goal of this study is to investigate the current knowledge about the influence of swimming on an senior's body. These findings are further validated by empirical studies on particular individual. It consists of individual swimming program design and series of measurements before the intervention and at the end (in the period of about five months). The results are statistically analyzed. Methods: The work proceeds by literature analysis. Further it proposes a methodology of examining the individual's anamnesis and it uses diagnostic tools to analyze body composition, muscle strength, joint flexibility and range of vital capacity. It makes kinesiology analysis and spirometry. For statistical analysis we used an arithmetic mean and percentage difference of values, which is distinguished mainly by their proportional rise and fall. Results: The results show an improvement in many areas. Hand grip strength tends to align the force of dominant and non-dominant arm. 30 Second Chair Stand Test results are improved. It also recorded an increase in the mobility of the hip joint and a significant improvement in spirometric values, especially peak expiratory flow. Keywords:...

The main method of the work was compilation meta-analysis based on an analysis of numerous quality publications and world scientific literature focused on the topic of bachelor thesis. Electronic databases EBSCO and PubMed and Internet search engine Google Scholar were used as resources for search. Results It found several high-quality studies concerning the influence of drugs of SYSADOA group on the structure of joints. Generally, drugs of this group may have some influence not only to symptoms accompanying osteoarthritis, but also the structure of joint tissues. However, some studies refute this claim. Therefore, it is necessary perform further extensive studies. The correlation between the stage of disease of the patient and the effectiveness of the individual active substances was found. Patients with moderate...
