Kohoutová, Jana ; Dvořáková, Vladimíra (advisor) ; Smetanková, Daša (referee)
Migration, that means movement of individuals as well as groups of people in space, has been happening from time immemorial. Although migration is not any news of recent days, its nature has been changing in recent years. Nowadays, in most cases migrants move from developing countries, countries with low and middle incomes, to developed ones. These are predominantly the countries of Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). One of the developed countries is Germany, OECD's founder member, which occupies a specific position in the field of international migration. In the German approach there have been fundamental changes and the view on migrants had to change radically in the last century, especially in the last fifty years. Gradually, Germany turned from a country of guest workers to a country with governed migration. This thesis primarily concentrates on analyzing the changes in German migration policy after the Second World War.
