Vasodilatory effects of 4-methyl catechol: ex vivo mechanism of action
Kuzdřalová, Kateřina ; Pourová, Jana (advisor) ; Smutná, Lucie (referee)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Student: Kateřina Kuzdřalová Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Jana Pourová, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: The mechanism of vasodilation effect of 4-methylcatechol ex vivo Keywords: rat, aorta, flavonoids, 4-methylcatechol, vascular smooth muscle, vasodilation Flavonoids belong to the group of polyphenolic bioactive substances found abundantly in plants, fruits and vegetables. Thanks to their pharmacological and biochemical effects, they play a crucial role for human health, especially in the prevention of numerous diseases - metabolic syndrome, osteoporosis, atherosclerosis and also diseases of a cardiovascular system. The aim of the diploma thesis was to determine the mechanism of the vasorelaxant effect of one of the most important metabolites of flavonoids - 4-methylcatechol. For the research we used a standardized ex vivo method on isolated Wistar rat aortic rings. We were able to confirm the vasodilatory effects of 4-methylcatechol. We also confirmed the fact that the flavonoid metabolite directly affects a vascular smooth muscle. Furthermore, we found that the tested compound potentiates the vasodilatory activity of sodium nitroprusside and forskolin, and that vasodilation depends on the activity of...
Conveyor Inverter - Design Lifting Mechanism
Zálešák, Martin ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
I am concern with a proposal of conceptual solution of Conveyor Inverter in my bachelor work. This Conveyor Inverter is used for the change of the direction europallet about 90° between roller and chain conveyor according to given technical parameters. My bachelor work contains complete 3D proposal, constructional and functional solutions which are based on checking calculations. Lifting of the Conveyor Inverter is done using a leverage mechanism of electric motor.
Analysis of specific systems of bodies with neutral bonds
Grúz, Jan ; Hájek, Petr (referee) ; Majer, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with analytical and graphical solution of three specific systems of bodies that are in static equilibrium. These systems of bodies contain neutral bonds. The opening part dedicates to theory and principles of solution of contact forces in bonds, which are further used for calculations and graphical solutions. The first system of bodies is a demonstrative tappet mechanism which was created for demonstration of some methods of graphical solution. The second system is inspired by lifting mechanisms in production lines. The aim is to find out the magnitude of contact forces for different positions of the lifted weight and a minimal torque of the propulsion. For solving the third system of bodies, principles of statics and hydrostatics are used. The aim is to find out the minimal magnitude of force for activating the mechanism. All systems of equations are solved in Matlab.
Intake Control Mechanism of Compressor Housing
Bartoníček, Richard ; Doman, Jozef (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis pursues a design of mechanism for controlling the amount of air sucked by a turbocharger compressor. In the first part, there is a brief description of a turbocharger and its characteristics, in the second part the usual regulation methodologies are presented. Third, the main part describes the creation of the mechanism from concept drafts and their comparison, through the kinematic and force analysis of control parts, to the complete packaging a connection to the compressor housing. The fourth part is dedicated to the mechanism analysis in the terms of ability to perform as required.
Overview of the principles of artificial muscles
Buchtová, Blanka ; Knoflíček, Radek (referee) ; Kočiš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the research study of principles of artificial muscles activity, used in the field of technical robotics and in the field of micromechanisms. The work involves both devices used commercially and experimentally, including specific applications of artificial muscles and areas of use. This work also includes a case study on the comparison of hydrogel muscle behavior. At the end of the work is evaluation of the experiment and overview of artificial muscles according to the speed of activation.
Piston for 25 kW 2-stroke SI-engine
Bečka, Petr ; Dundálek, Radim (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a design of a piston for 25kW motorcycle engine. The work is focused to main dimension of piston, dimension of crank mechanism and strenght calculation of dangerous crosses. Piston would be able to work during common conditions of running.
Production machines paralell kinematics structures
Cvejn, Jiří ; Opl, Miroslav (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
This thesis sets out to map nowadays situation of paralell kinematics structures of production machines. It describes and compares also the main leaders of this technical branch. Emphasis is put on their historical evolution, design, current practical use and future plans.
Construction of hydraulic wood-splitting machine
Šimčík, Jaroslav ; Opl, Miroslav (referee) ; Matějka, Petr (advisor)
Bc. Jaroslav Simcik Construction of hydraulic wood-splitting machine DP, Institute of production machines, systems and robotics, 2010, p. 60, fig. 30, appendices 7, This master ´s thesis is concerned with the wood-processing technology with a focus on the construction of hydraulic wood splitter machine with a force 120 kN.
Robotic cell design for automated manipulation - expedition of beer barrels and bottle crates
Slováček, Adam ; Kubela, Tomáš (referee) ; Pochylý, Aleš (advisor)
From the begining the shipping line is described and explained together with used principles. Requarements are set for the design of the industrial robot. A suitable industrial robot is selected. The propeties of the robot are described and location is being solved. The construction of existing effector which is going to go through improvement is descibed. In the controls are given the basic conections of sections and overview functioning. The basic standarts of safety are included as well as security of the workplace and possible problems that may occure during the operation of the line.
Design of a device enabling the reconnection of a glider to a towing aircraft
Ryba, Filip ; Löffelmann, František (referee) ; Sklenář, Filip (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a two-part system for connecting a glider and a towing aircraft in the air. The theoretical part deals with a summary of the principles of glider functions and an analysis of the reconnection attempt. The practical part discusses the proposed parts of the concepts that could fulfil the function and their combination forms into a final design solution. The solution is displayed in the drawing documentation and verified by manual and FEM calculations.
