Coaxial multiplexer for automatic measurement of AC current
Boštík, Ondřej ; Klusáček, Stanislav (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
Master’s thesis in the theoretical part deals with literature review on the topic of measurement errors and measurement uncertainties. The practical part deals with the simulation of additional capacitive and resistive load on the amplitude and phase error during shunts based measurement. For this simulation is used mathematical apparatus of cascade matrix of two-ports and their connections. For the actual simulation is used script for MATLAB. Furthermore, the work deals with the design of voltage follower to eliminate simulated errors and its practical realization. The last part deals with the design of the coaxial multiplexer for switching current shunts developed in the Czech Metrological Institute in Brno.
Development of a system for measuring sheet-metal offcuts
Ďurkovský, Jaroslav ; Huliaček,, Ľubomír (referee) ; Bastl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis describes design and testing of a device for automatic measurements of sheet metal offcuts of rectangular shape. Resulting device must have measuring accuracy, speed and reasonable price requested by company. Outcome of following project should lead to development of real device for application in industry production.
Time Domain Measurements of Oscillators’ Frequency Stability
Háněl, Petr ; Matějka,, Štěpán (referee) ; Baran, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis focuses on measurements of oscillators’ frequency stability. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts of measurement of frequency, measuring systems and measurement errors. The second part of thesis describes the design of measurement system. The design contains all data for build prototype and software, including all source codes.
The evaluation of accuracy and eligibility coordinate machines PIONEER DEA
Hrdlička, Martin ; Zahálka, Jiří (referee) ; Pernikář, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the accuracy and the qualification of coordinate measuring instrument Pioneer Dea. A target of the thesis is to represent measurement uncertainty using a method of International Vocabulary of Basis and General Terms in Metrology, and for the selected product to determine a qualification of the check process. The evaluation of the qualification of the measuring instrument is performed via method of coefficients cg and cgk. In addition there are calculated measurement uncertainty and via qualification indicator gpp the check process of the selected product is evaluated.
Position Improvement Using Differential GPS
Košťál, Jaroslav ; Hrubý, Martin (referee) ; Novotný, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes techniques of precision of a position using a differential GPS. The theoretical part provides with basic terminology on classical and differential GPS and with a blueprint for implementation of the differential GPS. The aim of the practical part is the implementation of the blueprint per se using two suitable GPS modules with data processing on the station in real time and creation of a graphical interface. The final determining of the position should be more accurate than one using a classical GPS.
Uncertainties of measurements of the dynamic viscosity
Januš, Petr ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (referee) ; Frk, Martin (advisor)
The thesis is deal with measuring the temperature dependence of dynamic viscosity and the calculation of measurement uncertainties. The thesis writes up the physical nature of viscosity and rheological properties. Next it is write up an overview of possible methods for measuring viscosity of liquids and overview of methods for measuring the density of liquids. An important chapter is the statistical evaluation of measured data represented mainly measurement uncertainties. In the practical part of the work is done workplace for measure the temperature dependence of dynamic viscosity. It is used two methods of measuring viscosity of liquids and two samples of liquids. Finally is done statistical evaluations of measurement. Based on the calculated measurement uncertainty measurement methods are compared.
Uncertainty of indirect resistance measurement
Beneděla, Pavel ; Šedivá, Soňa (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with the issues regarding the measurement uncertainty, followed up by its measurement uncertainty evaluation. The emphasis is particularly put on the indirect resistance measurement issues. The solution possibilities are illustratively shown on a few examples using the Agilent 34401A, Metra DU20 and Metex 3890D devices and based on results from those examples, the uncertainties of the indirect resistance measurement are assessed.
Detection of the measurement error using the reaction time
Antoňová, Tereza ; Remr, Jiří (advisor) ; Hendl, Jan (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the detection of measurement error based on the question order using the reaction time. The major part of the theoretical chapter deals with the respondent as the source of the error. A respondent needs to proceed through a cognitive process to answer a question. Various influences affect the process and they might have an effect on the accuracy of the answer. The frequently mentioned effects are age, education and motivation of respondent. The absence of respondents' motivation might lead to a reduction of their effort to properly proceed with the cognitive process. In that case, the respondent does not dedicate the appropriate cognitive effort and time to a question in the questionnaire. That length of time, which the respondent takes to answer, is called the reaction time and it is suggested that it might be used as an indicator of the amount of cognitive effort. Based on previously executed studies, the author designed hypotheses about the change in length of the reaction time with a change of question position in a questionnaire, about the effect of respondents' characteristics on the reaction time and its shortening. The significant shortening of the reaction time on the question located closer to the end of the experimental questionnaire is used as an indicator...
Short-term precipitation amounts
Dragula, Adam ; Holtanová, Eva (advisor) ; Kliegrová, Stanislava (referee)
Title: Short-term precipitation amounts Author: Adam Dragula Department: Department of Atmospheric Physics Supervisor: RNDr. Eva Holtanová, Ph.D., Department of Atmospheric Physics Abstract: The main object of this thesis is an analysis of short-term precipitation amounts with emphasis on transition period between pluviometer and automatic rain gauge. For the analysis, we were given data by Czech hydrometeorological institute, which contain precipitation amounts measured by pluviometer of 10 minutes term and precipitation amounts measured by automatic rain gauges of 10 and 15 minutes terms for four climatic stations. A summary of basic knowledge of measurement of precipitation and methodology of detection of inhomogenities in climatic time series is the point of the first part of the thesis. The aim of data analysis is to analyze basic characteristics of statistical distribution of precipitation amounts on a scale of days, hours and finally 10 or 15 minutes terms . A comparison of the distribution is carried out firstly in the transition period, where measurements of pluviometer and automatic rain gauge have an overlap, then two separate periods before and after automation are being compared. The main outcome of the thesis is a description of a possible cause of an inhomogenity caused by a change of...
