A framework for paperless office implementation in manufacturing companies

This master´s thesis discusses the introduction of a paperless office in manufacturing companies. The main goal of our work is to create a general framework for implementing paperless offices in such enterprises. The theoretical part presents the needs of today´s information society, focusing on the requirements of manufacturing companies. Next, the thesis describes the closely related topics such as company documentation and document archivation. The key chapter of the theoretical part deals with the subject of paperless office itself by discussing the current knowledge about different approaches, digitization, benefits, risks and suitable tools of information systems. The outcome of our work - and its main contribution - is the newly proposed general framework, which may serve as a guide for implementing paperless office solutions in the manufacturing companies. The practical part of the thesis demonstrates an application of the suggested framework to propose a solution for the company called Mi-King s.r.o.
Analysis of business process of selected company and identification of its potential of improvement

This bachelor thesis is focused on process management of selected manufacturing company. The main goal of this thesis is an analysis of selected highest-priority process and identification of its potential of improvement. Sub-goals of this thesis are research sources relevant to the topic of business process improvement potential, creation of process map, setting up criteria for selecting highest-priority process and finally a proposal of implementing identified improvement potential. The first part is a theoretical introduction to basic terms relevant to business processes, business process models and potential of improvement. The second part is focused on introduction of analyzed manufacturing company, its organization structure, strategic goals and information system. There is an identification of business processes in the third part and then the processes are being analyzed based on method of real potential improvement. At the end of the third part there are created scanning tables for selected process and there is also their evaluation. The main benefit of this thesis is an application of theoretical method on real existing manufacturing company. Another benefit is the identification of weak spots in highest priority business process and submitting actions that fixes these weak spots.
Implementation of new costing system of product oriented management in selected engineering manufacturing company

The thesis deals with the use of costing system of product oriented management in selected manufacturing company KOPS spol. s r.o., its metodology compilation and use of such information support in managing and decision-making in business processes. The first theoretical part is primarily dedicated to the description of the essential characteristics and terminology used in managerial accounting of product oriented management. In a subsequent practical part the thesis describes and characterizes the activity of smaller engineering manufacturing company, where it evaluates its past and present state of valuation of main production activities and enters the starting points, stepping stones and criteria for establishing a complete evaluation study of previously used costing systems. Based on these analysis results it will provide conclusions and recommendations for further business development. The main objektive of this theses is to evaluate the appropriateness and adequacy of previously used costing system and the use of corporate information in decision-making in analyzed company. In conclusion, the practical part evaluates options for business processes improvement and proposes alternative solutions for better management of company processes for strengthening the financial position and competitiveness of the selected entity in the form of proposal of new costing system.

Market analysis of the ERP systems for manufacturing company

The main aim of this work is to determine the main criteria for choosing ERP system and to compare a few ERP products on the base on predetermined criteria, specifically for manufacturing companies with focus on the Czech Republic. The content of this work is divided into a few parts. In the first part I want to explain the most important concepts such as information system, ERP etc. Then I will deal with czech market, specifically with current situation and I will try to make an approximate prognosis of the development of the market in the future. Finally, I would like to focus on demands of manufacturing companies on information system and to determine the main criteria of selection. I will choose a few products and I will compare them according to determined criteria. In the end I will draw conclusion according to my project. Nevertheless, the product of this work should not be a winning system, but rather the determination of criteria for choosing and at least partial approach of some products.
Analysis of the logistic processes in the manufacturing company

Diploma work focuses on the application of logistics in a real manufacturing enterprise. Theoretical chapters define terms like logistics, logistic chain and describe individual segments in the logistic chain from developing, purchasing, manufacturing process to warehousing and distribution. Company Indoorcycling Group is introduced in the third chapter. The company deals with production of stationary bicycles and their accessories. After the characterization of the company, individual logistic processes are analyzed. According to detection of problems in the logistic chain, various solutions for the optimalization are suggested.
Motivation of the Manufacturing Company Employees

The following BA thesis deals with employees' motivation, its main focus being the inner motivation of the workers, their needs and motivation profiles in general. The work consists of a theoretical account of the said problematic reaching from explaining the basic terminology and sketching out the selected motivation theories to the concept of the worker in a certain company. This is followed by the practical part where the selected manufacturing company as well as the results of the carried out analysis are presented. These data were provided by means of a written enquiry about a certain part of the production, and their aim was to confirm or to falsify the beforehand laid down hypotheses. These were above all concerned with the personal characteristics of a worker employed in a manufacturing company.
Financial analysis of a consumption chemistry industry aiming at companies with Czech ownership interest

The goal of this thesis is to carry out a comprehensive financial analysis of a consumption chemistry industry aiming at companies with Czech ownership interest and to propose a solution which would lead to strengthening of the competitiveness of selected companies on the Czech market afterwards. The analysis will be made on the sample of selected Czech manufacturing companies. The thesis is divided into two relatively independent sections. The first one deals with choice of appropriate financial analytical tools, i.e. definition of basic data sources and methods from a theoretical point of view. The second one is practical and focuses on a characteristic of the industry, application of financial analytical methods accompanied with a proposal for strengthening of the competitiveness of selected Czech manufacturing companies from consumption chemistry industry

This essay treats of wages and setting of a salary structure in a manufacturing company. First part contains a theoretical concept which explains basic notions and attitudes used for a creation of a salary structure. Practical part introduces the concrete manufacturing company. Next the current salary structure is characterised and analysed. Proposed recommendations for an eventual change of salary structure results from findings during the practical part.
Process model of manufacturing company

This thesis deals with process modeling respectively application specific modeling methodology developed by prof. Ing. Václav Řepa Csc. for the selected company active in manufacturing. The main objective and part of the thesis forms creation of process model. It's preceded by introductory description of the selected company and its global long-term goals set by management, SWOT analysis revealing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, on the basis of which is elaborated a strategy to exploit opportunities for the development of strengths. Before analyzing the processes and the design of process model Balanced Scorecard analysis is realized. Within its four perspectives, I propose and summarize the identified targets, along with their metrics, current and desired state. Further it's followed by process analysis and elaboration of process models to global (Eriksson-Penker model) and detailed (BPMN notation) level. Models have added the descriptive tables and description and main points of the design are summarized in the end. The main objective of work is followed by others, represented by the comparison of designed model and current situation in company, where is implemented quality management system ISO 9001:2000 (comparing similarities and differences, problems of quality system, etc.) and assessment of enviromental maturity of the company and its functioning from process perspective, using the knowledge model Michael Hammer PEMM (Process & Enterprise Maturity Model). Information obtained from the analysis and designs are put into context with each other to ensure consistency of whole design and my thesis and summarized in Chapter Conclusion.
