Conversion of Vlněna boiling-room

The Bachelor thesis deals with the reconstruction and restoration of the building which is part of Vlněna complex in Brno. Location, in which is the object situated, is undergoing an extensive/large modernisation. Almost all historic buildings of this industrial complex are being replaced with high-rise administration blocks which deviate from historical context of the area. One of those exceptions, is also the object of this thesis. It is a former heating building that supplied energy to a mentioned complex. The attempt of the design was maximal purification from contemporary and purely functional interventions in order to support the historical footprint which is a fundamental factor for revitalization of the remaining parts of the area. The building is, in its own way, a manifestation of its surroundings. The object was cleansed to its visible structure made of bricks and wooden beam ceilings. This is refering to a time when these materials were understood as an essential costruction of every building, until they were replaced with structures from reinforced concrete and transparent facades with purely functional approach, which is visible in this new vision of Vlněna complex. Considering the administration aspect of the rest of the area, the building with its functional usage is trying to stimulate life and by that add space for social facilities. The object poetically named “the centre of regeneration“ includes many ways of relaxation which is an integral element to a monotone activities of administration buildings. The lower parts of the building contain a social function in the form of mini-brewery with beer hall/cellar, and restaurant in second floor. The other floors then offer regeneration, mental and physical, from massages to yoga practice. The result of this thesis is a revitalizational boost of the area. The object, in its function and form, is an opposite of new modern part of the complex. However, the object should not be unders

Also describe every important aspects of elements in HTML5 and CSS3 with acquisition and purpose. The result of this thesis is example web application build on HTML5 and CSS3 which demonstrate their potentiality. This application is web browser of pictures from flickr.com with choise of edit and saves, offline mode and effect improve rich user experience.
SocialMaps Manifesto

In the past two decades, a digital copy of the world has been created with perfect precision. It is an unprecedented achievement of the third modernity, and the speed of its creation is fascinating. We walk through it daily and are a part of it without reflecting on its existence, its nature and its unclear transactional relationship. We have come to see the various mapping services and applications as obvious innovations. A simple fragment of the quantum of functionalities of our devices. Calculator, clock, email, maps. But a digital copy of the world was not easy to build. And it was certainly expensive. Yet it is offered to us for our use without any restraints. The central motivation of the companies that have created this virtual space — in which the dramas of humanity are notionally played out — is to monitor it continuously and carefully. Our behaviour, activities and interactions are the desired compensation. They are constantly analysed and interpreted into data that can be traded. The loss of privacy is a tax we pay. An unspoken transactional relationship has been sealed without our knowing its exact terms and consequences; and the corporations that formulate them are rapaciously avoiding legislative-legal framework. Map applications, which are today the most important product of cartography, are the sneaking hegemony that reduces the world to a few categories whose primary imperative is profit. Many of them use the map as a platform in which places are inserted to represent a simple reflection of the capitalist perception of the world. Shops, hotels, bars, restaurants, businesses. Such maps manipulate our view of the world by how they portray it and what they present to us in a bounded way. And by our conformity, we unwittingly accede to these practices and help to preserve their status quo. We can easily decide not to use the digital map services and applications in place, but they are only the symbolic tip of an ambitious project of monitoring our privacy. Maps are hopelessly caught up in a tangled web of Big Tech, software and the Internet of Things. They are drained of their influence and limitless potential to serve a single purpose. It is therefore necessary to seek a ways forward for a paradigm shift affecting the form, nature and function of digital web maps. This manifesto offers some of them.
Using Nothing We Want to Change the the World

This work focuses on the evolution of Dada and its manifestation in Czech literature, especially in the twenties of the twentieth century, but, of course, it focuses on later manifestations too. It focuses on the main features of dadaism, like abhor technics, mysticism and rituality, destruction, universality, dada language or humour. Application of dada to czech discourse would be unable, without defining these features. This work focuses on real or potential dadaistic manifestations and theoretical reception in the czech discourse, which is represented by Karel Teige on the side of oppositors and the Devetsil group of Brno on the side of propagators. The last chapter is about the relations between dadaism and carnival culture, that wat theoretically formulated by Bachtin. I focuses especially on identical properties. German far-right terrorism

This thesis focuses on the issue of far-right lone-wolf terrorism in Germany. Lone-wolf terrorism - terrorism perpetrated by individuals, who display no ties to terrorist organizations - is a concept, which is skeptically accepted by many scholars. The main issue with this concept is the emphasis of the "lone" part, especially during the preparation and the attack itself. Scholars, who refuse this concept claim, that in every case, the attacker is a member of a larger group - it can be either ideology-based or it can provide material assistance. Furthermore, lone- wolf terrorism is primarily associated with religious terrorism, probably because of the activities of Islamic state in recent years. However, this thesis approaches lone-wolf terrorism as relevant concept, which refers to a security threat, that is represented by radicalized and hard- to-detect individuals. The thesis focuses on three cases of far-right terrorism in Germany, which were committed by an attacker, that operated alone - Munich shooting (July 2016), Halle synagogue attack (October 2019), and Hanau shooting (February 2020). Tato práce se zabývá zasazováním zkušenosti do rámce, aktem zrození, opakování a škálou notací, a nakonec pojmem otevřená partitura (open score). Je zde sledováno několik cest, ve kterých se prezentované přístupy a záměry spájejí do základního konceptu zpracovávaní zkušenosti do partitury. Mezi různými styly a metodami ve vztahu k tomuto fenoménu jsou v práci prozkoumávány: hermeneutický přístup k interpretaci umění Hanse-Georga Gadamera v díle Pravda a metoda, estetická teorie Johna Deweyho v Art as Experience, vývoj notace a otevřené partitury, pravidla happeningu, slovní partitury (word score) a instrukce (event scores), forma manifestu a jeho role v umělecké praxi, návodné principy haiku, reperfomance jako odkaz k minulosti a sociální výzkum, rekonstrukce událostí jako sociálně angažované umění, umělecká praxe ve vztahu k legislativě, týkající se pozemkových práv a volného pohybu v krajině. Primárním cílem práce je odhalit proces redukce výchozí zkušenosti skrze uměleckou metodologii, ústící do konečné volně interpretovatelné práce, která má formu otevřené partitury.
Visions and Beliefs of Three Generations of the Czech Avant-garde (1919-1989)

Aim of this work is to make a comparison of three generations (1918 - 1989) of discourse art theorists and to point to their similarity. Specifically, the main personalities and spokespersons of Czech avant-garde art and underground, who are Karel Teige, Vladimír Boudník, Egon Bondy, Milan Knížák and Ivan Martin Jirous. This work analyses the content the interpretive models which are contained in the manifestos and manifestations text (Chapter 2) and reconstruction experience and feeling of historical avant-gards based on work with ego-documents (Chapter 3). The result of this analysis is a description of the differences (and dynamics) of development of avant-garde, but especially characteristic of avant-garde and underground mental world. The analysis shows that the artistic avant-garde (Teige) and underground (Jirous, Knížák), as well as the second generation standing on the edge of the avant-garde and underground (Boudník, Bondy) show great similarity with many common features. Individual features common to the avant-garde and underground are summarized in the conclusion.
