The Utilization of Systems Simulator in Managerial Education

The thesis is focused on system simulators and their use in management education. It is concentrated on the use of management games and simulators. The work begins with a general overview of system simulation, clarification of basic concepts and more detailed information on simulation modeling. It informs readers about the history of this branch, data inputs, relation with other disciplines. I am interested in modeling and simulation goals of typical usage. I deal with the usual user profile of management games, the reasons for using simulation modeling, description various types of simulators, microworlds, possibility of a formal knowledge representation. Work describe area of management games. There is also a description of the influence of games on the managerial hard and soft skills, including their relationship with various levels of management. The thesis focus on market research of management games and simulators, and then selecting the appropriate management games for teaching at the Faculty of Management in Jindřichův Hradec. Suitable games are described in greater detail and compared.
Contemporary Trends in Education of Managers

This thesis charts the developments that have occurred in the field of managerial education specifically from the perspective of the current trends in educational programmes both in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. The theoretical section of the thesis consists of a pilot study aimed at the demand for educational and developmental programmes amongst a selected research sample of managers and also at an analysis of the supply offered by a sample of educational organisations located in the City of Prague. Based on the information that was gathered, certain conclusions were drawn and recommendations made for modifying the study programmes offered by the Faculty of Management of the University of Economics.
Competitive position analysis in the market with managerial education

The final thesis deals with competitive position of an educational institution, which provides Masters of Business Administration programs on the Czech market with managerial education. Using the methodology of positional maps it evaluates the power of the school towards its competitors. The thesis includes an analysis of internal and external environment which provides us with major strengths and weaknesses of our institution. It also sets the fields management of the school should concentrate on. The thesis can also serve for MBA potential customers as a list of institutions which provide this type of education in the Czech Republic.
Present-Day Trends in Further Education of Future Managers

The Bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical part and a practical one. In its theoretical part, first are defined key notions relevant to the topic of the thesis. Further there are described individual institutions dealing with the education of managers. The practical part is focused primarily on a comparison of the Faculty of Management with the Faculty of Economics and Administration of the University of Pardubice and another comparison between the Faculty of Management and the Faculty of Operation and Economics of Transport and Communications of the University of Žilina. There are compared subjects taught at these faculties as to their contents and their classification in the framework of particular terms. In the conclusion of the practical part, the established data are interpreted; the results of this interpretation are certain recommendations of how to improve the quality of education at the Faculty of Management.
Practice Requirements for the Competence in Students newly Graduated from the Faculty with Diplomas in the Managerial Sphere of Studies

In my bachelor thesis I have dealt with key competences according to which we can divide managers into two main groups: successful managers and the average ones. The aim of the thesis was to find out what kind of competences are required by most employers from students newly graduated from the faculties focused on teaching managerial disciplines, how are their expectations met, and to what extent the graduates of the Faculty of Management are equipped with these required skills after having graduated from the Faculty of VŠE in Jindřichův Hradec.
Strategic Analysis of International School of Business and Management

The aim of the thesis is to make a strategic analysis of the newly opened private school by University of Economics, Prague. For analysis of external environment is used PEST model and Porter's model of Five Competitive Forces. Special attention is paid to description of Czech-MBA-schools market. Internal environment is described by analysis of company's resources. Outputs from partial analyses are summarised in SWOT analysis. SWOT analysis serves than for formulation of strategic recommendation to ISBM.
