Universal audio interface for autonomous use
Trojak, Ondřej ; Šťáva, Martin (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
This text analyses the current situation within the audio signal work field and the appropriate ways of connecting electronic networks for processing blocks. The thesis deals with circuit design, firmware programming and physical realization of a subsequently measured autonomous battery-powered interface which provides volume control of input signals and conversion of different types of connectors and signal lines, consuming low power and adding low noise. The device is also equipped with a phantom power supply for condenser microphones. The control consists of a set of buttons, a rotary encoder and a display unit.
Saving power and area with multi-bit pulsed latches
ECG data recorder
Hruškovský, Antonín ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Burda, Karel (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the issue of long-term ECG recording, used in medicine for monitoring of cardiac anomalies. Author focuses on explaning the general concepts in the first part. Author describes measuring methods and issues associated with measuring. Comparison of existing devices and design of solution with own features are in next chapter. Next is comparison and selecting of formats for recording measured data and description of device connectivity. In next chapter author focuses on hardware design and implementation of device. After that author describes software solution design for microcontroller, Bluetooth module and smartphone. Author introduces possible improvements for future generation of the device and then describes results of testing at the end of this work.
Preamplifier for biological signals processing
Derishev, Anton ; Prokop, Roman (referee) ; Khateb, Fabian (advisor)
The work deals with the design and optimization of amplifiers in CMOS technology with low supply voltage and low power consumption. The main aim is to design an amplifier to amplify the biological signal. The first part is a brief introduction to the theory of biological signals. The work also contains a brief description of the biological signal processing methods and their properties. The important part is the description of the methods to reduce the supply voltage of the amplifier. The practical part of this thesis focuses on the design amplifiers with low supply voltage and low power consumption. All active elements and application examples have been verified by PSpice simulator using the 0.18 µm TSMC CMOS parameters. Simulated plots are included in this thesis to illustrate behavior of structures.
Low-power wireless sensor node
Pobiecky, Michal ; Koton, Jaroslav (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
The main purpose od this thesis is to design wireless sensor node with emphasis on low power consumption. This device is firstly made of microcontroller Atmel ATmega328P and for transferring measured data XBee 802.15.4 or transceiver nRF24L01 is used. Subsequently there is a design with Atmel ATmega256RFR2 with integrated wireless part and Lightweight Mesh protocol. Special attention is given to sleep modes and lowering power consumption. For ATmega328P the measurement of these power modes is done.
Low Energy Bluetooth Localization
Šlígl, Jan ; Nykodým, Jiří (referee) ; Götthans, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on design of localization device using Bluetooth 5.2 with low power consumption. Localization is performed using created devices forming a beacons and designed application for mobile phone. Also design of multiple types of antennas with different directional radiation pattern, gain and size. Design is mostly focusing on low power consumption and compact independent device.

Environmental data collection
Krásl, Martin ; Jaroš, Martin (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the design of a meteorological station for collecting environmental data that measures non-electrical quantities characterizing environmental conditions. The station is designed to send the collected data to a server for further processing. The design of the station is adapted to low consumption thanks to the possibility of power supply from a photovoltaic panel. The implementation of the station involves the use of an STM32 microprocessor, LTE phone module, Wifi, camera and a set of sensors. Among the selected phenomena monitored by the sensors are measurements of temperature, pressure, wind speed and direction, precipitation, ambient light radiation, UV index, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and dust particles. This thesis also focuses on remote archiving of measured data on the server and providing measured data in the web user interface.
