A discourse analysis of the language spoken by Czech children

The thesis focuses on an analysis of the language use of Czech speaking children living abroad. In the theoretical part the concept of bilingualism is described, then the factors influencing speech skills are discussed. Also the Czech language is analysed there from different linguistic aspects. Later on the possibilities of learning Czech language abroad are considered. The research part covers the linguistic phenomenon based on observing the language use of Czech children living in Australia and New Zealand. The aim of the thesis is not only the analysis of audio records, but also findings about the particularity of bilingualism in the upbringing and about the question whether it is possible to learn Czech abroad and in what ways.
Usage of langue stereotypes of female and male communication in contemporarymedia: analysisof gender language instruments on exemple of magazines Cosmopolitan and Esquire

This thesis discusses the usage of stereotypical ideas concerned the communication of men and women and usage of language tools typical for male and female speech in the language of contemporary media. In theoretical part of thesis, we are trying to connect the knowledge from several sciences to clarify terms like a gender, gender role, stereotype etc. We are trying to prove that there are some differences between male and female language. We are concerned with psychological evolution of human to the maleness and femaleness with regard to cultural and social influences which are forming the identity of human. In the practical part of thesis, we are trying to verify using questionnaire that the popular ideas about male and female speech have stereotypical character. In other point, we are trying to verify that the stereotypical ideas about male and female speech are reflected by contemporary media which are including those ideas in the medial contents. We are using the samples of magazines with male and female themes - Cosmopolitan and Esquire. We would like to demonstrate on these magazines that magazines for men and women are using some of language tools which are using men and women.
Minor Place-names in the Žďársko Region

This bachelor thesis contains 190 minor place-names from a part of the Žďársko region. Three types of minor place-names, which correspond to the three main chapters, are examined: hydronyms, oronyms and land names. The minor place-names belonging to a given group are listed alphabetically in each section. Each name is given the type of geographical unit and sources from which it was read out. The main objective of this work is to determine the origin of the examined anoikonyms. This research deals with word formation analysis and distribution of minor place-names into groups according to their significance. Various methods of collection, analysis and interpretation of the collected data were applied to create this work. A number of different printed materials, journals and internet resources were used to explain all the examined entries. It was necessary to attend an interview with witnesses or experts in the discipline of analysis, too.

The aim is to answer the question so as to how to grasp linguo- didactically this modern sociolect of young users (not only) of French, typical of written communication via digital technologies, with the purpose of the purely practical use in the classes of French. Firstly, a linguistic description will be given in order to understand the mechanisms of the explored language code not only in French, but also partly in Czech and English, as well as the determination of the position of the SMS language as a socio-cultural phenomenon in the present-day French. The following research will be dealing with the identification and the analysis of the teaching activities using the SMS language found in approximately fifty text books of French intended for the learners of levels A1, A2, B1, B2. Characteristic of Panamanian Spanish

The thesis is dedicated to basic aspects of Panamanian Spanish. In the introduction is presented a brief historical context as an integral element of the development of language. The main part is devoted to the description of phonetic, lexical and morphosyntactic units of this variant. Are outlined current trends in speech and language creativity of Panamananians. In the final part of the thesis are presented culture and language considered as a determining factor in this co-option of Spanish. The last chapter explores the influence of indigenous and major European languages in Panamanian Spanish. The importance of linguistic interpretation of law

This thesis describes linguistic interpretation in the context of interpretation of law, that is defined either as discipline of law, either as social discipline. In linguistic interpretation plays basic role linguistic interpretation. In the chapter that follows the chapter with description of the linguistic interpretation and its specifics in interpretation of law, the author puts linguistic interpretation among the other methods of interpretation. Although she admits the opinion of The Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic, that linguistic interpretation is only the first approach to the text, she looks for argumentation that disproves this opinion. She finds one of possible arguments, when she relativizes enumeration of linguistics disciplines, because of pragmatics. Pragmatics as a linguistic discipline is not in this enumeration. The author says, that the reason is, that pragmatics would change meaning and understanding of the linguistic interpretation, bescause of presence of context as a common factor in pragmatics and in the teleological interpretation.
