Easter eggs scanning module
Pitrun, Tomáš ; Janáková, Ilona (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the design and implementation of a preparation for scanning the museum's collection of Easter eggs. A monochrome line scan camera combined with RGB lighting and stepper motor is used to capture the Easter eggs. The control of the whole fixture is solved by using an Arduino Mega microcontroller in combination with the developed PCB. The data from the camera are processed in software on a PC using Matlab. Finally, a 3D model of the easter egg with the scanned texture is created using the Processing library.
Product quality control
Pitrun, Tomáš ; Janáková, Ilona (referee) ; Boštík, Ondřej (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with the industrial inspection of defects on injection molding based on computer recognition. Part of the work is a description of injection molding technology and defects that may occur with this technology. The detection application is implemented in Python on the Raspberry Pi platform. The OpenCV library is used to detect product defects. Part of the work is also the selection of suitable hardware resources, including the Raspberry Pi microcomputer, lighting camera module, lens, relay modules and supporting structure.
Laser transmitter with fiber
Hašek, Jaroslav ; Němeček, Jiří (referee) ; Wilfert, Otakar (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with communication which is provided by optical devices. Optical wireless links are enforced due to high bit rate, responsibility and noise immunity. Main part of this master´s project is devoted to optical fibre, its characteristic and its usage in laser transmitter.
Machine vision for locating objects
Hasík, Dávid ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Vetiška, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with design of machine vision system for object localization and its application possibilities. Design approach, its components and their individual advantages and disadvantages for this type of machine vision system are described. This thesis also includes simple model of machine vision system for object localization using regular PC. For image processing is used Vision Assistant and its tools. Two scripts are made in this software and their performance is compared.
Modification of Targeting Camera for a Remote Laser Spectroscopy
Klempa, Tomáš ; Ficza, Ildikó (referee) ; Brada, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the modification of targeting camera for remote laser spectroscopy. Targeting camera will be used on remote laser spectroscopy unit to study its features in laboratory of Institute of Physical Engineering on University of Mechanical Engineering Brno and to study the affect of external environment to analytic ability. The thesis contains a brief overview of the current stage of knowledge, designs of stroctural variations and the description of parts of designed device.
3D Photo Slideshow Using OpenGL
Dokoupil, Martin ; Fapšo, Michal (referee) ; Seeman, Michal (advisor)
This document describes implementation of photo slideshow editor. This editor can be used to create dynamic sequences from taken photos. Image taken by camera is projected onto three-dimensional sphere and drawn to screen. Then it is posible to rotate and zoom camera over image. Visual output of this editor makes moving over image more real. If panoramic image is used, user is able to free look around. This document describes method which can translate two-dimensional coordinates to three-dimensional space. Shows how to use transformations for moving camera and methods to implement camera zoom. Contains description of user interface and also mentions extensions that were implemented in editor.
VC5 and Vision Designer platform visual system
Popovský, Pavel ; Janáková, Ilona (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
For the purpose of an future machine vision system development in Tyco Electronics Czech s.r.o. I have developed Cognex Designer template. Template will serve as a flexible basis for further development of camera applications on the Cognex VC5 industrial computer. The functionality of the program template has been successfully verified by modifying it to a particular application of the laboratory manual station used to measure the parameters of the manufactured connectors. A camera with lens and lightning was chosen and installed on the station. DIO communication was put into operation between VC5 and PLC system. The application has been calibrated and verified as a measurement system using MSA Type I and Capability study standard methods.
Placement Optimization of Projector Lens
Bezděk, Matěj ; Važík, Jiří (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the creation of engineering design of holder of projector lens. The thesis is created in cooperation with department of development in Varroc Lighting Systems, s.r.o. Initial part provides a brief description of the development of lighting technology used in car´s headlamps. The following part describes solutions currently used in clamping the lens in holder. The main part of the thesis focuses on the design of holder of projector lens itself. Projector lenses testing provide critical values of cohesive failure of the lens material, which cannot be exceed during the process of lens fitting and its subsequent clamping. In the final part the engineering design is verified and optimized using finite element analysis.
Camera calibration
Opravil, Jan ; Babinec, Tomáš (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
Imperfection of some lenses used in industrial cameras is distracting. This thesis is concerned with the calibration of cameras with geometric barrel or cushiontype distortion. In the calibrating process is used a function which approximates real lens distortion. To calculate the coefficients of this function the straight line sections in the distorted image are used. Those detected lines play the key role and they ought to have the greatest possible information bias. To enhance the quality of detection are chosen some methods of preprocessing. The algorithms thus created are tested first on an artificially generated calibers and later on real ones. The program is written in C and is using some of the functions of the OpenCV library.
Procedurally Generated Lens Flare Effect for Blender
Volf, Petr ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
Lens flare is an image artefact caused by unintended reflection of light in camera's lens system. The goal of this project is simulation of this phenomena in open source 3D content creation suite Blender. The generated effect is then composited into final image. The project is designed as an add-on. The add-on allows user to customize several parameters to achieve the desired result.
