Specifics of laser and real firing from a small arms
Didek, Zdeněk ; Michalička, Vladimír (advisor) ; Fiala, Miloš (referee)
Title: Specifics of laser and real firing from a small arms. Goal: The aim of this study to gather information about real and laser shooting from small arms in connection with human physiology and biomechanics. The main benefit of a systematic grasp of the issue as an understanding of comprehensive information. To compare their differences, or to eventually laser-shooting as an instrument for testing soldiers in the Army of the Czech Republic. Methods: Literature search, which deals with the issue of shooting. For the elaboration of this work, the search for study sources was used, followed by their analysis and subsequent search of these obtained study sources. Results: The result of this work is a comprehensive understanding of shooting from real and laser weapons in terms of biomechanics and human physiology and its impact on shooting performance. When comparing real and laser shooting, no significant penetration into the issue was found due to the insufficient number of sources and information about laser shooting. For this reason, a greater representation of the laser weapon cannot be justified in this work at the expense of the real weapon in the Army of the Czech Republic system, even though the use of laser weapons in training is a cheaper financial issue in the long run. Key words: Army,...
Analysis of Fingerprint Spoofs Created from Mold Done by Burning Technique
Sochová, Terézia ; Sakin, Martin (referee) ; Kanich, Ondřej (advisor)
This work is devoted to the production and analysis of fingerprint spoofs created from mold using a burning technique. The aim of this work is to create fingerprints spoofs from different materials and then to design and to implement an algorithm that compares spoofs with model fingerprints. Spoofs are made using beech wood molds. In order to create the fingerprints, plasteline, silicone and liquid latex are used. The analysis of the differences between fingerprint spoofs and their real fingerprints is based on the minutiae extraction and on their subsequent processing. The results of analysis are represented by three monitored metrics: number and type of minutiae, number of paired minutiae and average distance difference between fingerprint spoof minutiae and real fingerprint minutiae. The created program is tested using a database of produced fingerprint spoofs. The results of the program are compared with the results of the VeriFinger application. Both programs agreed that spoofs made by silicone are the ones of the highest quality.
Modification of a laser welding system for welding materials releasing excessive amounts of fumes
Kohout, Jaroslav ; Sigmund, Marian (referee) ; Mrňa, Libor (advisor)
The thesis deals with the implementation of a suction system for laser welding. The specific product is grate used for outdoor drainage. The original GMAW production technology is to be replaced by a laser. During the welding of S235JR steel, a significant development of exhaust gases was observed, which subsequently made the actual process impossible. Practical experiments were performed and evaluated using tensile testing and metallographic cut. Based on the results, the optimal position of the suction nozzle and welding parameters were recommended. The obtained values were re-verified by experiment. Furthermore, a suitable extraction device was proposed and an economic evaluation was performed.
Optimization of welding parameters during laser welding with additional cold wire
Venc, Jan ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Mrňa, Libor (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the optimization of process parameters of welding a drainage channel using a laser beam with an additional cold wire. This channel is made of austenitic Cr Ni stainless steel X5CrNi 18-10 (1.4301, ČSN 17 240) with a sheet thickness 1,5 mm. Mechanical properties of samples were checked by using transverse tensile test. Subsequently, the samples were macroscopically inspected focusing on dimensions of the weld and the presence of weld defects. Finally, the structure of the weld metal and fundamental material was evaluated by using microscopic control. Based on evaluation tests, the optimal welding parameters were recommended.
Working of semi-finished product for laser welding
Černý, Jan ; Mrňa, Libor (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the technology of laser welding and preparation of semi-finished products for laser welding for serial production. The theoretical part deals with the physical nature of the laser, different types of lasers, welding technology, preparation of welded surfaces, safety of work with lasers and basic division of corrosion resistant steels. The practical part deals with the assessment and evaluation of the proposed technologies of cutting blanks for laser welding. In the practical part, roughness, flatness and macrostructure tests were performed and evaluated.
Comparison of flame and fusion laser cutting of material DC01
Krejčiřík, Marek ; Horník, Petr (referee) ; Mrňa, Libor (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the technology of laser cutting together with edge roughness for low carbon steel material DC01. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part examines laser itself and contains a physical description of the laser beam with the laser construction, division according to the active environment or the occurrence of laser devices in today’s engineering industry. The last part of the theoretical research is aimed to the surface roughness, its parameters and the measuring technology. The practical part is focused on the comparison of the edge roughness of material DC01 after laser cutting with the usage of flame and fusion. The measured parameters of roughness were further compared with the norm ČSN EN ISO 9013.
Acoustic fields visualization using laser interference
Raffay, Tobiáš ; Havránek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Skalský, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on solving the visualization of acoustic waves using laser interference. The necessary theoretical knowledge to understand the used method of schlieren photography are summarized in the theoretical part. The practical part describes the implementation and results of the assembled systems, shows the differences, and solves the problems that occurred during testing. Apart from visualization of acoustic waves, we can also observe the flow of gases and air with small changes of refractive index.
Distance meter with ESP32
Havelka, Jan ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to implement a distance meter with two sensors (ultrasonic and laser) with an ESP32 microcontroller. Then the ability to display measured values on the display and via the web interface. The first part deals with the theory of ultrasound and laser, their use as distance meters and a summary of advantages and disadvantages. The following chapter describes the design of the distance meter with all the components that will be used. The third chapter focuses on the implementation of the distance meter. It was created wiring diagram and designed printed circuit board that handled all mutual communication between the ESP32 and other peripherals. The whole device is placed in a box in the shape of a pistol printed on a 3D printer. The next part of the work briefly describes the software of the distance meter written in the C programming language in the development environment Arduino IDE. Finally, images of the final product were inserted into the work and test measurements were performed, the result of them is written into tables, graphs and subsequently evaluated.
Laboratory exercise - OTDR optical path analyzer
Šimková, Barbora ; Münster, Petr (referee) ; Dejdar, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis consists of detailed analysis of OTDR problematics and implementation of the connection. Part of the work also consists of theoretical analysis of optical fibers and their transmission properties, especially dispersion and diffraction. Realization of the connection was made using platform Red Pitaya and laserboard Koheron. Final program was created in development environment LabView. The program also contains graphical user interface.
