The Family Sociology is the main frame of the thesis. The subject of a family in the contemporary society is narrowed down especially to the problem of a family and working life. The conception of {\clqq}the individualized society`` proved to be very inspirational. The thesis is also focused on the problem of job market´s and family life´s requirements compatibility. The work is based on the academic and experiential level. In this purpose, theoretical statements related to the existing problem were used as a source and followed by the experimental research. The aim of the thesis is to support mentioned theoretical statements by empirical evidences.

Career and honor of millers in dominion of Třeboň in years 1590 - 1740

The thesis "Career and honour of millers in dominion of Třeboň in years 1590 {--} 1740" engages in research into a life of an Early Modern Times miller in years 1590 {--} 1740 in dominion of Třeboň. It is based on archival resources from the State Region Archives in Třeboň. The research proceeds from the most general problems to details and begins with an explanation of the miller trade importance for the estate economy. The following chapter describes a professional life of miller from the lowest position {--} an apprentice up to beco-ming a master. The third chapter contains arguments against the German historian Richard van Dülmen and tries to answer the question whether a miller was an honest man or not. The final chapter is a biography of the miller Jiří Šput in which his life and acting in different situations are analyssed.

The thesis deals with women in Komerční banka focusing on their career and possibilities of work-life balance. The main aim of the thesis is to find out an attitude of the bank towards the equal opportunities, employees' awareness of instruments of family policy as well as the biggest difficulties in women's career. In order to support the practical part of the thesis, we present information about women's role in society, women in the media, career, equal rights and work-life balance. The adopted method of the empirical part is an individual interview with women managers and a questionnaire aimed at selected employees of the bank.

Analysis of career of University of Economics graduates

My thesis's aim was to describe start up and career development of graduates with so-called career maps, the most frequent work positions, rate of managerial posts, comparison in age and gender in various relations, the most frequent fields of companies, in which graduates work, frequency of different kinds of companies or ways of finding a first job. I was striving to introduce and analyse all of this in a global concept for the whole school and I was not comparing those aspect within school faculties. In the conclusion I added short analysis of gradues of minor specialization Managerial Psychology and Sociology.

Zmiňuje se o etapách života lidí, které se prolínají s pracovní kariérou jedinců. Věnuje se i dalším faktorům, které působí na vývoj pracovní kariéry. Dále uvádí procesy plánování a řízení kariéry, které jsou součástí personálních činností. Na závěr se snaží teorii ověřit i porovnáním s praxí.

Teoretická část se zabývá kariérou všeobecně, historickým vývojem postavením ženy ve společnosti, vznikem feministického hnutí, ženou na trhu práce, v politice, vědě a umění, ženou a rodinou a pojetím ženské krásy a komerce. Praktická část se věnuje ženě ve státní správě, konkrétně na státním zastupitelství. Uvedeny jsou výsledky písemného dotazování ohledně postavení ženy na trhu práce a v politice a osobních individuálních rozhovorů, které se týkají kariéry ženy na státním zastupitelství.
