Physiotherapy options to improve lower extremity function in track and field throwers
KŮTOVÁ, Kamila
The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis deals with the topic of lower limb function across the spectrum of throwing disciplines and in the practical part on the possibilities offered by physiotherapy specifically to influence lower limb function through therapy in three probands involved in track and field throwing. The conclusion of the thesis summarizes the information on the topic of lower limb function in track and field throws and evaluates the effectiveness of the chosen therapy in female probands.
Difference of biomechanical parameters in individual categories in javelin throw
Krejnusová, Tereza ; Feher, Jan (advisor) ; Hojka, Vladimír (referee)
Title: Difference of biomechanical parameters in individual categories in javelin throw Objectives: The aim of this work is to determine whether the biomechanical parameters in javelin throw are different between age categories and gender categories. At the same time, this work deals with how much influence the individual parameters affect the throw distance and whether these ratios are the same or different for each category. Methods: During the research, kinematic analysis and video analysis using the Kinovea program were used. Statistical methods such as ANOVA, Tukey's post hoc analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were also used. Results: It was found that of the measured parameters, the value of 8 parameters differs between at least two categories. Only 2 parameters gave an insignificant result, so there are no different values between the categories. Furthermore, it was found that for 3 categories, the net distance has the greatest effect on the rate of estimation. The other selected parameters are only partially identical and there are some differences between the categories.. Keywords: javelin throw, biomechanical parameters, difference, category, ANOVA, hierarchical analysis
The importance of core stabilization for track and field throwers
Hanuliaková, Júlia ; Táborská, Silvie (advisor) ; Tichá, Monika (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT First name and surname: Júlia Hanuliaková Supervisor: Mgr. Silvie Táborská Title of the bachelor thesis: The importance of core stabilization for track and field throwers Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with throwers' core stabilization in athletics. Theoretical part described basics of throw, individual throwers' athletic disciplines, factors influencing sport performances, postural functions and core stabilization. Practical part includes case studies of three probands. Target group was created by young athletes competing in at least one throwers' discipline. Therapeutical intervention was focused on improving core stabilization and took 10 weeks with therapy 2 times a week. The results were analysed based on examination of postural stabilization according to Kolář, chosen functional test and comparison of best achieved results before intervention in seasons 2019, 2020 and 2021 to best achieved results after intervention in season 2021. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate how did the performance of track & field throwers changed after the intervention focused on core stabilization. Furthermore, to create a training unit and increase awareness about core stabilization and its' influence on sport performance of track & field throwers among trainers and the sportsmen...
Successes of Czech and Czechoslovak athletes at the Olympic Games in the javelin throw
Dolák, Marek ; Kašpar, Ladislav (advisor) ; Mojžíš, Otakar (referee)
In my thesis I will focus on all the successes of Czech and Czechoslovak athletes at the Olympics in the javelin. I also want to briefly describe the history and development of this discipline. Furthermore, I will also describe modern technology of javelin and physiological description. Nevertheless, the main part will be about our Olympic heroes in this technically very demanding discipline. In this part, there will be mainly detailed course of the race at the Olympics, where they have had any success. My thesis will also include a biography of these prominent Athletes.
Training of a javelin thrower - assessment of own performance development and training
Veselý, Vítězslav ; Vindušková, Jitka (advisor) ; Jebavý, Radim (referee)
Title: Javelin thrower's training - self-assessment of performance development and training Aim: Assessment of my career, development of performance and evaluation of training in each stage of development. Methods: Research of specialized literature, retrospective analysis of performance tables, training records and interviews with coaches. Description and comparison of training strategies in each stage of development. Results: I have been a competing athlete since 1993. I threw 55.79 m at the age of 15. I surpassed the 70 meter mark after four years of training. I reached the finals of the World Junior Championship. Then, after repeated injuries, I decided to quit athletics. While studying at the university I started training again. After a year Jan Železný became my coach and within two years I reached the finals of the Olympic Games in Beijing. This gave me a new impulse to continue high level training. My basic general training was led by coach Lípa. The positive aspect of this stage of training was that I received a very good general performance base, Mr Lípa gave me a very good running and sprinting base and I benefit from this even today. Insufficient and uneven development of muscle strength was the downside of this stage. Specialized training was led by coach Jaroslav Halva. The positive...
Biomechanical parameters affecting performance in javelin throw - literary research
Krejnusová, Tereza ; Čermák, Filip (advisor) ; Vindušková, Jitka (referee)
Title: Biomechanical parameters affecting performance in javelin throw - literary research Objectives: The main aim of this work is to study scientific and professional publications and articles concerning biomechanical analysis of javelin throw. From these sources find out which parameters affecting performance are measured in biomechanical analysis. Another objective is to determine the frequency of these parameters and other aspects that could affect measurement results. Methods: The bachelor thesis is processed by the method of literary research from available foreign sources. The research part summarizes all the theoretical background and findings that deal with the basic concepts of biomechanics and technique of javelin throw. Comparison was used to compare scientific articles. Results: Based on the processing the available sources, a comprehensive overview of the issue of javelin throw biomechanics was created. This work describes parameters that influence performance and compares results of mentioned authors. Other aspects have been identified that could affect analysis results such as gender, performance class, opportunity, or the type of analysis. Keywords: javelin throw, biomechanics, technique, effect on performance, parameters
