First year of Echo weekly

In my bachelor thesis with the title First year of Echo Weekly I focus from different angles on the creation and process of the first year of existence of new Echo Weekly. I describe the causes for starting the weekly as a project which after leaving the Mafra publishing house created former journalists of Lidové noviny under the leadership of Dalibor Balšínek. I illustrate the focus, structure of content and also the progress of image of the magazine. I describe the partial changes in weekly which, even though it wasn't originally planned changed to solely digital title to magazine published since November 2014 also in print version. I state the differences between both versions and on selected articles illustrate the orientation of Echo Weekly and its most important topics as well as document the evolution of readership and number of recipients of the weekly.
Fashion blogs as a new trend in online journalism and their influence on readers

The main focus of the thesis is to describe the phenomenon of fashion blogs as a specific style of online writing and to analyse its influence on readers in relation to printed fashion magazines. The theoretic part describes an evolution of online media since the beginnings of Web, also in the context of generational change. It focuses on the Generation Y and its relation to online media. Furthermore, it describes internet media and internet journalism and their current tendencies. The next part defines blogs in general and contains a brief history of the phenomenon, their comparison with traditional journalistic values and finally on fashion blogs themselves. Fashion blogs are perceived as a part of modern visual culture, which is closely connected to the evolution of fashion blogs, and as a sign of societal trends of narcissism and individualism. The thesis compares the influence and the meaning of fashion blogs in comparison with printed fashion magazines. The analytical part uses a quantitative research and analyses the readers' view on both fashion blogs and the printed fashion magazines. It focuses on the readers' perception of the fashion blog content, especially text and image, and compares it with the perception of fashion magazines. The use of language in modern internet journalism in comparison with print

The thesis The use of language in modern internet journalism in comparison with print focuses on use of language in texts on the Internet and in print media. The texts which were selected for exploration are movie reviews. The theoretical part describes the terms used in the work (film review, internet journalism, etc.). It also tries to clarify the issue of Internet publishing and the differences between online publishing and printed media. It then briefly describes the history of the Internet and its establishment as a counterpart to the printed media. It also deals with the description of the media from which the texts were sourced. The practical part presents the results of the analysis. The work compares the differences in texts published on the Internet and in printed media, as well as the advantages of online publishing - with all the potential of hypertext. The concluding part of the work evaluates whether the researched articles are different and how.
Reflex magazine online:progress in journalism?

The goal of this Bachelor's dissertation named Reflex Magazine Online: Progress in journalism? is to compare the printed and the online version of Reflex magazine. The first part of the thesis is divided into three chapters: in the first chapter, the history of Reflex magazine is described shortly as well as the important members of the editorial staff are named. The second chapter is focused on the online version of the magazine, while the future of the Internet and new media are discussed in the third chapter. The research part of this thesis is based on comparasion of the online and printed content. Additionally, a public poll among the Reflex's readers was performed, which was focused on readers' perception of the printed and online version of the magazine. The supplement includes an interview with Josef Klíma, where the history of founding is described in detail.
