Předmětem diplomové práce je implementace teoretických poznatků s cílem ověřit relevantnost zdrojů informací sloužících pro výpočty ukazatelů finanční analýzy. První část je zaměřena ne teoretické poznatky finanční analýzy zejména u výrobních podniků a služeb. V této části je věnována velká pozornost poměrovým ukazatelům a jejich výpočtům. Teoretická část je zakončena specifiky finanční analýzy pro komernčí pojišťovnu. Výstupem práce je pak ověření relevance dat a poměrových ukazatelů finanční analýzy pro specifické odvětví pojišťoven z hledsika vývoje v čase a faktorů ovlivňujích jejich vývoj.

Insurance Frauds

This thesis examinate by insurance frauds in transport. The thesis is thematicly divided to main individual parts. In the first part are summarized the theoretical concepts which pursue these issues. The second part focuses on a survey among the public regarding insurance frauds. The main target of this thesis is describing the current state of trade, where the main target will suggest more advantageous and more effective solutions for business based on the detected information and then will be applied to the practice.

Ziskovost pojišťoven v závislosti na kvalitě institucionálního prostředí

Dvořáček, J. Profitability of insurance companies depending on the quality of the institutional environment. Thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2023. This diploma thesis is devoted to the influence of the institutional environ-ment on the profitability of insurance companies in the entire European Union and the United States of America in the period 2009–2018. The aim of the first part of the literary research of this diploma thesis is to clarify the issue of finan-cial analysis of insurance companies and highlight important milestones in the history of the insurance industry in the world and on territory of the Czech Re-public. In the second part of the literary research, a characterization of the area of the institutional environment and institutional economics as such is carried out. Among other things, the method of classification, measuring the quality of institu-tions, and the influence of the institutional environment on the profitability of in-surance companies are described. In the last part of the literature search, the var-iables that will be used in the empirical part of this work are selected, including the justification of their choice. Empirical analysis is carried out using microeconomic specifications of insur-ance companies and indices specifying the institutional environment. Data from the period 2009–2018 are used for the analysis, these data have an annual fre-quency and relate to 13,865 insurance companies. Due to the specific behavior of insurance companies, a model using panel data with fixed effects was chosen. The results of the empirical analysis confirm the positive influence of some microeco-nomic specifications of insurance companies and the quality of the institutional environment in the area of the judiciary. Conclusions were also made in the case of the division of insurance companies into larger and smaller insurance institu-tions, and based on these findings, recommendations were made towards the management of insurance institutions. Analysis and cooperation of the property and liabality insurance of individuals with selected insurance companies on the Czech market

The bachelor's thesis deals with property and liability insurance for individuals. The theoretical part of the thesis describes terms such as insurance, insured event and insurance industry. Then it focuses specifically on the property and the liability insurance. The practical part includes a survey of the insurance offers of five selected insurance companies. Then, it contains an analysis of the answers from a questionnaire survey to find out how people perceive these two insurances. The practical part also includes the search for the most appropriate insurance offers for 3 fictitious applicants.

The thesis deals with public health insurance. It is divided into four parts. The first theoretical part provides a conceptual framework for the subject: it presents a general definition of insurance, describes its nature, a brief history of insurance schemes and outlines types of insurance available. The second theoretical part focuses on core issues: it introduces the area of public health insurance, its nature, models, operation and other aspects which each insurance policy holder should be aware of. The first practical part examines the Czech market in public health insurance in 2014 and describes the products and benefits offered by selected health insurance companies valid until 23rd March 2014. The second practical part provides a comparison of selected health insurance companies and their products, followed by a suggestion of the most beneficial insurance company for a model client.

Based on the conducted review, the results of which are incorporated in this thesis, it can only be said that the subject and the way of supervision are very similar in individual countries compared, despite the diversity of individual supervisory institutions, whether as an independent institutional framework of the supervisory body within the central bank or as a self- established body. 1.Summary - review in English The above-mentioned work comprises of two basic issues that are connected together, namely commentary on Insurance Policy Act as general introduction into the field of insurance policies and consequent and special issue of legal expenses insurance interpretation. The basic meaning of it was to introduce not only the provisons concerning insurance policies, but also to show one of the insurance policies type in details, what could be hardly possible or satisfactory without preceding description of the Insurance Policy Act. Thus, complete summary of this work will be divided into two parts; first would be the part concerning Insurance Policy Act and second would be the part concerning legal expenses insurance. 1.1.Insurance Policy Act - Summary The first part of this work concerned, as mentioned above, the Insurance Policy Act, whereas my primary aim was to interpret provisions of this act that were worth it and point out namely on imperfections of the existing legislature.
