Development of the Initial Reading Literacy in ITV (Integrated Thematical Content)

The diploma thesis deals with development of the initial reading literacy in integrated thematical content (ITC). In the theoretical part, attention is paid to initial education, its definition, methods of teaching reading, organizational forms and evaluation. The thesis briefly describes the development of integrated thematic teaching, explains its concept and important components, and it also describes the use of this teaching technique in the 1st grade of primary schools, especially in the first years of studies. Another part of the work is focused on the personality of the pupil of younger primary school age, on his cognitive and social prerequisites for successful entry into school. The research part is implemented through several methods, where I tried to obtain a wider range of data for the use of integrated thematic teaching in the development of initial reading literacy. The observation of teaching brings insight into the practical use of this teaching model, the experiences of teachers are determined by a questionnaire survey and the knowledge and skills of three groups of pupils are investigated by a research probe, where during data processing I compare the level of partial levels of initial reading literacy in the monitored group with ITC with two control groups, which they do not...
Possibilities of development of adult education in Czech Republic using foreign experience

The aim of the thesis is to explore and describe adult education as an integral part of lifelong learning in relation to the development stages of human life. Particular emphasis is placed on the 3rd stage of life, the senior age. The defined area is solved with a wider historical, geographical and demographic context. The author also deals with the analysis of the global and especially European demographic development with a special focus on the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany. Especially the current changes in the age structure of the population and the consequences of this development on the educational system. In the end, recommendations and suggestions are formulated on how to respond to ongoing demographic changes and how to prepare for an aging society from the point of view of education.
University Students and Graduates on the Labour Market

The thesis examines and analyses the high employment of students of universities as it has become a new trend in education recently. Training for the future profession is not concerned with the studies only but the work experience is involved as well. This thesis examines reasons of this trend and also its influence on students and the future ability of graduates to succeed in seeking job on the labour market. The theoretical part applies to the definition of the initial education which is confronted with reality due to empirical data obtained from the survey focused on working students.
