This diploma thesis deals with the process of introducing Competitive Intelligence into a selected agricultural company in order to help the company improve its market position and gain a competitive advantage. After evaluating the current situation of the company, there is a problem to be solved. After the theoretical part, the CI process is proposed to the company, including the phases that the company has to go through during the implementation. Then follows the use of selected methods for the analysis of the most important competitor. In conclusion, the whole proposal of the solution is summarized, including benefits for the company and possible shortcomings.

The work is divided into three main parts, in the first part of the proposal to define the theoretical states, in the second part of the analysis of the current state, processes in and system requirements and the third part of the company describes the process and development of the system.

To build the part of IS/IT strategy of the company that leads to elimitation of the risks found is dealt with in the thesis as well.

The thesis deals with the assessment and analysis of current state of the information system of chosen organization SOŠ Pod Bánošom Banská Bystrica and the subsequent proposed amendments, which were conditioned on results of performed analysis. The theoretical part is devoted to explanation of the information system, its components, elements, features, importance for the organization and security, also on the theoretical description of the data flow, EPC and ER diagrams. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of the information system of the organization, describes the processes in the organization and design changes in the information system.

A set of improvement propositions of the current state was created based on those analyses with both balance and effectiveness of an IS taken into account.

This diploma thesis is focused on setting up internal communication in the company OSCOM TRADING s.r.o.. The thesis is situated in two parts. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on communication in the company as a whole. The practical part is focused on working with the acquired knowledge. The current situation in the company is analyzed and based on the obtained data, internal communication in the company is proposed, which aims to simplify communication and not confuse employees with irrelevant information, which will positively affect the working atmosphere in the company.
