Author´s diploma thesis deals with the topic of jewellery. Theoretical part introduces term "jewellery as an object" to the reader. It also discusses jewellery as such, its origins and history in outlines. The thesis touches the development of Czech jewellery, selected authors are mentioned, such as Eva Eisler or Milan Knížák, their work included. Contemporary jewellery is then introduced through the work of selected artists, who use the theme of imprinting into their work. Sculpture has two sides, the principle of duality, femininity and counterpart. Determination of the Mechanical Properties of Weld Materials based on Hardness Test
Stodola, Martin ; Španiel, Miroslav (referee) ; Dlouhý, Ivo (referee) ; Junek, Lubomír (advisor)
This dissertation thesis deals with determination of the mechanical properties of weld materials based on instrumented hardness test. This work was caused by the research project between IAM Brno Ltd and CEZ corp., when the task was to develop a methodology for evaluation of mechanical material properties using NDT methods. For these reasons the development of methodology is reflected especially for use in practice focusing to determining the mechanical properties of the heterogeneous weld joint on the assembled equipment. The mechanical material properties are determined by carrying out non-destructive tests of the instrumented Vickers hardness. The developed methodology for determining of basic mechanical properties is based on the principle of inverse FEM modeling of the instrumented hardness tests, when output of the testing is indentation curve and measured surface imprint after unloading. The basic material mechanical properties are achieved by comparing the outputs of the experimental instrumented hardness tests and the outputs of the modeled hardness test using FEM.
Polarity of teaching
Bobáková, Natália ; Hosnedlová, Klára (referee) ; Klodová, Lenka (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the interconnection between medium of collective action, sport and painting. Using yoga lectures taking place every wednesday in studio of evening drawing autor observed roles of teacher, student and their interconnections. The documetation reamined on the canvas. Bachelor work examines phenomenon of imprint as indexical sign. It emphasizes interest in human skin ("porous materials"). It notices skin defects caused by verious types of pressures - the it records them using the technique of analogic photography transfered on the wall (with help of photosensitive emulsion).
City as a place of mind - Wilderness in public space
Vondrušková, Eliška ; Pfeiffer, Jan (advisor) ; Tsikoliya, Lenka (referee)
The thesis discusses the phenomenon of a city with a special focus on public space and its wilderness aspect. It examines the city as a place for non-human organisms to inhabit and discovers its specific habitat, which is populated by a vague terrain of various sizes. It traces the relationship between the city and nature, how this relationship has evolved throughout history, and how nature is brought into cities in the form of gardens and parks. It alludes to the theme of the second nature that surrounds cities. The main theme is urban wilderness, the uninvited nature of cities and its aspects. The aim of this thesis is to explore the topic of urban wilderness, its aspects and manifestations, which are then didactically transformed. This is preceded by the study of literature and fieldwork, which includes archiving and mapping of different spaces. The central city for this exploration is my birthplace and hometown of Prague which enables observation on an everyday basis (whether intended or unintended). The didactic part of the thesis focuses on the transformation of the topic into three wholly different art assignments, which offer the students three different perspectives. Each perspective is tied to their personal experience and two of the perspectives also directly include their presence in...
Landscaping and other limits. (The Prehension of the landscape in the Art and Art Education throught exploration of the fine art)
Zástěrová, Alena ; Velíšek, Martin (advisor) ; Daniel, Ladislav (referee)
/ a b s t r a c t This thesis deals with the environment of the landscape in connection to movements of the body and of the mind which result in an art gesture. It closely focuses on an individual experience of a landscape as a unique environment. It explains concepts and speculates about their meanings. Through interviews, the thesis presents different approaches to art from plethora of artists, who work in and with the landscape. It deals with a didactic project which aspires to inspire students to think more deeply about the environment that surrounds them and to communicate their understanding o fit through art. Personal artworks created in Finland in the Arctic Circle region capture motion in the landscape of the nature and that of the mind.
