Analysis of HR Processes and HR Position in Czech Ice Hockey Extraleague Clubs

5 ABSTRACT There is fourteen ice-hockey clubs in the highest Czech professional ice-hockey league (called "Tipsport Extraliga"), but only two of them have a position of personalist in their organizational structure. This dissertation is aimed on the issue of HR operations administrated in terms of Czech professional sport organizations. On the bases of interviews with employees chosen from two Czech ice-hockey clubs I compare the execution of HR activities on the two clubs there is a special position for HR specialist, in the second one there is a leader or sport manager, who is executing the HR activities. There is also the analysis of HC Sparta Praha HR specialist position in the dissertation. In the special chapter there is the specification of HR processes executed in Czech ice-hockey clubs including processes aplicated in the past. Marketing research of PSG Zlín fans' satisfaction

Title: Marketing research of PSG Zlín fans' satisfaction Objectives: The aim of the diploma thesis is to find PSG Zlín fans' satisfaction and propose actions that would lead to an increase fans' satisfaction in following seasons. Methods: To determine the satisfaction of the fans of the PSG Zlin hockey club it has been used the method of a quantitative research with the help of an electronic questionnaire. This electronic questionnaire based on a large sample of fans enables to uncover sufficient data and analyses fans' satisfaction by various aspects. Results: The analysis and interpretation of data gained from marketing research have found that fans are very satisfied with many aspects. The most important thing for fans is the atmosphere in the stadium and the sport performance. The least interesting aspect was the supporting program, whom the fans are not completely satisfied. Overall, the greatest range for improvement was found in the allocation of a place for families and the improving of service during home matches. Regarding social networks, websites and merchandising exists mostly good satisfaction about the value of 2 (1 - very satisfied, 5 - very dissatisfied). Sport club HC Sparta Prague development prognoses

Title: Sport club HC Sparta Prague development prognoses Objectives: The main objective of this bachelor's thesis is to propose and draw up 3 possible prognoses of HC Sparta Prague financial situation development based on financial analysis of past years. Methods: In the first phase of the thesis a financial analysis from past 8 years is drawn up. The data required for the aforesaid analysis are gained from the analysis of the balance sheet, profit and loss account and financial ratios. The third phase deals with reconstruction of Taffler model for predicting bankruptcy. Based on the results of the financial analysis, 3 prognosis, namely optimistic, pessimistic and realistic are drawn up. The prognoses are drawn up using and taking into consideration the past development of profits and loss figures, as well as net income up to/till 2020. Modelling of the prognoses is carried out with the use of Forecast function in MS Excel. Results: The compared results of financial analysis and sports achievements have shown that the HC Sparta Prague financial situation develops depending on sports achievements of the extraleague team. Usage of internet social networks in clubs from Tipsport extra-league of ice hockey

Title: Usage of internet social networks in clubs from Tipsport extra-league of ice hockey Objectives: The aim of the work is to analyse and compare communication of selected ice hockey clubs on selected social networks based on available data. Facebook communication of these clubs will be evaluated based on selected criteria. Methods: Collection and descriptive analysis of data, comparison, classification based on selected criteria. Results: Only clubs HC Kometa Brno, HC Sparta Praha and HC ČSOB Pojišťovna Pardubice communicate professionally and regularly on all four selected social networks. Ice hockey club from Pardubice is the best in communication on Facebook based on selected criteria. All results are listed in the practical part of this work. Comparison of Brand Building of Lev Praha and Slovan Bratislava in 2012-2014

The bachelor thesis entitled "Comparison of Brand Building of Lev Praha and Slovan Bratislava in 2012-2014" describes and compares two hockey brands which participated in the Kontinental Hockey League within delineated period of time. The aim of the thesis is a comparison of two sports brands based on theoretical and practical findings. Furthermore, I would like to highlight both similar and different aspects of the aforementioned brands. In the theoretical part, the thesis presents basics of marketing and its tools, sport marketing and brand building. In addition, the profile of the Kontinental Hockey League is included due to participation of both clubs and also in order to clarify the broader context with the impact on brands. The practical part commences with an analysis of Lev Praha and then continues with Slovan Bratislava. Internal club resources, news portals and online sources were used so as to analyse these brands. The thesis describes in detail their history and identity, as well as their target groups and brand elements. Moreover, I also analyse the brand building process including information about the market and main competitors, the current state of brand and CSR activities. The Bachelor thesis deals with an analysis and suggestions of marketing strategy for an ice hockey club. The theoretical part concerns itself with the general theory of marketing, specifics and trends of sports marketing. The practical part then analyses the current situation of the club and also results of a questionnaire, which serves as a basis for improving the marketing communications toward fans.
Business Plan for Establishing a Hockey Academy

This thesis focuses on designing a business plan to create an Ice Hockey Organization that would primarily focus on a recruitment and further athletic development of young players. The Czech Ice Hockey Association's (CSLH) Ice Hockey Academy Project was considered as a baseline for this business plan, so all the necessary CSLH criteria would be met and maintained. The thesis consists of both a theoretical and a practical part, dealing with respective issues that relate to the establishment, management, and administration of the Organization and its partnership with schools, City Councils, and existing Ice Hockey organizations in the territory.
Ratings and Evaluation of Players in Professional Hockey Clubs

The aim of this bachelor thesis has been to approach two selected activities and methods from human resource management used by ice hockey clubs. Specifically, it has been about evaluation of the players of selected ice hockey clubs. The practical part has been based on interview which had been made with the employees of the clubs that deal with this issue. The semi-structured interview had been used, where the questions were arranged according to the activities they have been related to. The benefit of the practical part has been to provide the information about the evaluation methods the selected ice hockey clubs use. Qualitative data has been collected. The result of this bachelor thesis has been the comparison between the methods of evaluation of each clubs, advantages and disadvantages of each method and the forms of evaluation. The result of this thesis can be used as a way how to reduce wage costs in ice hockey clubs.
Lexicon of personalities in ice-hockey club HC Dukla Jihlava\\
VARHANÍK, Lukáš
HC Dukla Jihlava, the ice hockey club of the Vysocina region, achieved the biggest successes in the second half of the 20th century. Originally an army hockey club arose by moving Dukla Olomouc in 1956. The club is historically the most successful Czech ice hockey club where over the years had played several players whose performances were enrolled in history. The author dedicates his work to the history of foundation of the ice hockey and to the beginning of the foundation of the HC Dukla Jihlava club. In the practical part of his work he states names and interviews with those players he included into the lexicon of personalities of the Jihlava's hockey club. The aim of his work is a reminder of the famous history of the club which achieved fame for working with youngsters from whom they brought up national representants, republic champions, Spengler Cup winners, Golden Stick holders, silver Olympians. Some players were receing offers from abroad, but that time didn't allow them to accept them. Yet they managed to break through the players' competition and no one regrets the Jihlava's contract. Dukla Jihlava is a town's mark.
