Skalická, Františka ; Fabičovic, Klaudia (advisor) ; Novotná, Klára (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Františka Skalická Supervisor: Mgr. Klaudia Fabičovic Consultant: MUDr. Vendula Parmová Title of bachelor thesis: The influence of physiotherapy in irregular menstrual cycle Abstract: Menstrual cycle disorders are nowadays a very common problem for many women. These include dysmenorrhea, premenstrual syndrome, functional female sterility or luteal insufficiency. Their etiology may also be associated with musculoskeletal dysfunction. Luteal insufficiency is considered to be a luteal phase of less than 12 days. This condition may be one of the possible causes of infertility, but studies on this topic are lacking. The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the influence of luteal insufficiency using diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in physiotherapy. Three women with luteal insufficiency underwent individually tailored physiotherapy ongoing for 6 months with the aim of prolonging the luteal phase. The symptothermal method was used to objectify the length of the luteal phase before and after therapy, allowing easy and reliable control of the menstrual cycle and increasing the likelihood of conception through accurate timing of the fertile period. The main 4 pillars of therapy were postural correction, elimination of functional changes in the musculoskeletal system,...
Specifics of emergencies in gynecology and obstetrics
PUPÍKOVÁ, Lenka
The bachelor thesis deals with the topic "Specifics of emergencies in gynecology and obstetrics". It concists of two parts, theoretical and practical. In theoretical part, we provide information on individual emergencies in gynecology and obstetrics. We deal at emergencies, how they manifest, what the risk factors may be and what treatment is in pre-hospital emergency care. In gynecological emergencies we discuss emergencies such as ectopic pregnancy, adnexal torsion, ovarian cyst rupture, endometriosis, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, pelvic inflammatory disease and pathological gynecological bleeding. In obstetrics we describe hypertensive conditions in pregnancy, preeclampsia, eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, abortive birth, breech birth, umbilical cord prolapse, placental abruption, placenta previa, amniotic fluid embolism, postpartum hemorrhage and cardiopulmonary resuscitation of pregnant women. In the practical part, we present information collected from interviews with paramedics. The information collected was analysed and divided into 11 categories. The goal of thesis was - 1. To map individual emergencies in gynecology and obstetrics. 2. To map the procedures of paramedics in gynecology and obstetrics emergencies. We believe that we have succeeded in meeting our goals. The results of the research can be used to create recommended procedures in gynecological and obstetrics emergencies.

Utilisation of visceral manipulation in gynecology
Pochmanová, Lucie ; Michalčinová, Klaudia (advisor) ; Ježková, Martina (referee)
Visceral manipulation (VM) is a fine manual technique focused on manipulation with organs and their fasciae. Fasciae surround organs allowing their movement and connecting them. Their movement can be limited after surgery, stress, inflammation or as a result of a poor posture. By the using of VM, a therapist can locate and subsequently alleviate increased tension from parts of the body. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis summarises the knowledge about the use of visceral manipulation in gynaecology. The practical part comprises case studies of four patients. These case studies are concerned with the use of physiotherapy with elements of visceral manipulation during the treatment of painful menstruation (Dysmenorrhea). Each case study contains the case history, initial and final kinesiological analysis and the description of the therapy and autotherapy. The length of the physiotherapeutical intervention was six months for each patient. Objective evaluation of the effect of the therapy was achieved by cooperation with the gynaecologist who examined the patients before the start of the physiotherapeutical intervention and subsequently after its end, i.e. after six months. The examination comprised hormonal profile analysis, ultrasound examination (to determine the position and size of the...
The Controversy about Childbirths outside Hospitals
Pultarová, Jana ; Haškovcová, Helena (advisor) ; Pinc, Zdeněk (referee) ; Jedličková, Anetta (referee)
1 ABSTRACT The issue of births outside a medical facility is currently a controversial topic between specialists as well as in the public sector. While the specialists concur in refusing home births, the society is divided. There are voices that refuse home births but there are also plenty of people who support the right of mothers to give birth outside of a medical facility. Very sensitive topic is the legal and ethical aspects of the protection of unborn children and the issue of a safely conducted delivery. In the last decades, the life value of an unborn child has been seen as an ethical problem. The right to life is one of the fundamental human rights, which is enshrined in the constitutional system of the Czech Republic and also in the international human rights conventions. Because there are different opinions regarding this issue, it is necessary to establish a view that is widely accepted so that legal standards can be approved provided that the opinions of minorities are being respected. The main objective of this presented dissertation was to ascertain why are people losing confidence in a doctor's role during delivery and what is the reason for some of the mothers being unsatisfied with current institutional system of obstetrics. On the basis of these factual findings, which emerged during the...
