Selected Risk Behaviour at the Secondary Schools in the Region of Domažlice
ČERNÁ, Pavlína
The topic of this bachelor thesis is ?Selected Risky Behaviour at the Secondary Schools in the Region of Domažlice?. Risky behaviour is a phenomenon threatening societies across all cultures. Its negative consequences can be intensified even more if it occurs at the adolescent age. Healthy development of adolescents is at risk under its influence. It affects the biological, psychological and social features not only at the time when the adolescent behaves risky but also in future when the individual has to bear the consequences of such behaviour. The thesis compromises of a theoretical part, in which selected forms of risky behaviour along with the protective factors that significantly affect this type of behaviour are briefly characterized. The goals stated are defined and the research in question, including the comparison of the results ascertained with the findings of other authors that are presented in the theoretical part, is described in the practical part. The occurrence of risky behaviour cannot be entirely eliminated, however, it can be reduced at least or it is possible to postpone its beginning. Primary prevention is used for this purpose. Monitoring of risky behaviour on which the practical part of this thesis is focused can be used as one of the basic evaluation tools for prevention. The research was conducted at the secondary schools in the region of Domažlice. These were various types of schools differently orientated ? a grammar school, a business secondary school and an apprentice school. The data of the learners of these schools were gathered on a quantitative basis through questionnaire investigation. The questionnaires were distributed among the responders at schools. Great emphasis was put on anonymity of the questionnaires and assuring the responders that the questionnaires filled in by them will not get in hands of any of the close authorities. Therefore the authority was not present when the learners were filling in the questionnaires. The highest validity of data could have been ensured in this way. On the basis of the data gained the hypotheses stated before were confirmed. The goal of the research was to map the occurrence of the selected risky behaviour at the secondary schools in the region of Domažlice. Comparison of the responders? involvement in risky behaviour for boys and girls was defined as the first of the individual goals. The other individual goal was to compare the occurrence of risky behaviour at the individual types of schools. The research obviously suggests that it is not possible to comprehensively define whether it is boys or girls who behave more or less risky. It can be only said that some selected phenomena are more typical of males, others of females, occurrence of others is comparable for both of them. When observing risky behaviour at the individual types of schools, the occurrence of unwanted phenomena is significantly higher at the apprentice school compared to the other types of school. The number of adolescents behaving risky in the region of Domažlice corresponds to the average of the Republic. The results of the thesis can be used for implementation of effective primary prevention, for the needs of further researches, and, last but not least, as a theoretical framework for education in this area.
Modern nondrug addictions
ČÁSLAVOVÁ, Miroslava
My diploma thesis is both theoretical and empirical. It deals with modern nondrug addictions which are not yet classified as addictions according to the International Classification of Diseases, but their symptoms and common characteristics with recognised addictions allow us to label them as such. The theoretical part of my thesis concerns mainly a definition of these addictions, their typical symptoms, prevention and therapy. The practical part contains tables derived from the results of research carried out in the form of questionnaire surveys. One questionnaire was designed for adults, another for children and youth adults. Both aim to monitor the occurrence of modern addictions in today's population. The practical part also contains a questionnaire which confirmed or disconfirmed a suspicion of workaholism in the case of two selected persons. The appendixes to my thesis contains all the mentioned questionnaires and a case study of a person cured from a gambling addiction. The appendixes also contain graphs supplementing the practical part of the thesis, a list of rehabilitation institutions where individual addictions can be treated as well as contact information of various workplaces which provide help and counselling.

KORTIŠOVÁ, Jana
The occurrence of selected risk behaviour of some pupils of the primary education school system Abstract of the Bachelor Thesis The task of my thesis is to map and analyse the occurrence of selected risk and addictive behaviour in the population of primary education pupils in primary schools in České Budějovice region. In the theoretical part of my thesis I explain the term risk behaviour and its aetiology. I also describe various types of risk behaviour, which I have divided into drug and non-drug addictions and I characterize the period of adolescence here. For attainment of outlined goals are by quantitative research in a form of an anonymous questionnaire gathered data at six primary schools in České Budějovice. On the basis of these data are investigated the experience of pupils with selected risk and addictive behaviour. Nominally it refers to experience of pupils with alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, bullying, gambling and using computer and internet. Basing on my research I also verify three prospective hypotheses. Hypothesis No. 1: Pupils have the first experience with legal addictive drugs before the age of twelve. This hypothesis was verified. Hypothesis No. 2: Pupils have first experience with illegal addictive drugs before the age of fourteen. Also here was the hypothesis verified. Hypothesis No. 3 claims: Absolute majority of primary education pupils have in the course of school attendance come across bullying. This hypothesis was disproved. From my research results no more than 34 % interviewed pupils came across bullying. The results of my bachelor thesis can be used for the needs of further research or for the needs of education and can be part of a preventive process in school system. The results can be also used for a better measure of informedness about selected risk behaviour of children and adolescents. Supervisor of the Bachelor Thesis: Mgr. VLČKOVÁ, Martina
My thesis concentrates on the dependencies problem on the second grade of the basic school. It has two parts {--} theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part I analyse the term dependency and characterise the particular types {--} alcoholism, gambling and toxicomania. Firstly I try to define the causes and conditions of dependencies, secondly I focus on the questions how can be recognised the dependency by scholars and what the teacher must and can do in this situation. I try to map out the possibilities and efficiency of as yet implemented forms of prevention. The comparison with other states follows. In the practical part I look closely at the present state of occurred dependencies on the second grade of the basic schools in a specific area. I chart this state with the questionnaire method and the interview and then I should be able to find out whether there is a difference concerning the dependencies between a city and a village. The evaluation is completed with statistical calculations.

This thesis engages in discribing Czech gambling law and it's recent development in preparing a very new gambling act. The goal of this diploma thesis is to point out at the biggest problems of so far existing gambling act and at what way they should be dealt in the new one. I use two main economic theories to explain reasons of issuing new act. The first one is The Theory of Interest Groups and the other one is Theory of Public Interest which are applied at the case of Czech Republic. Next goal of this thesis is an analysis of popularity of all gambles according to sum of money gambled and money paid back. I also describe a historic development of gambles and it's regulation and show that the ability to innovate new ways to evade the law had very often no limits and the regularors have never been able to make up a clear set of rules that would be unavoidable.
