Detection of speech disorders
Struhař, Michal ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with detection of speech disorders. One of the aims of this thesis is choosing suitable parameterization: short-time energy, zero-crossing rate, linear predictive analysis, perceptual linear predictive analysis, RASTA method, cepstral analysis and mel-frequency cepstral coefficient can be chosed for detections. Next aim is construction of detector of speech disorders based on DTW (Dynamic Time Warping) and artificial neuron network. Single detection proceeds on the base of collected tokens from chosen analysis and phonetic transcription of speech. Analyses, detector and phonetic transcription of Czech language are implemented in simulation environment of MATLAB.
Linear prediciton and cepstral synthesis of speech signal in the TTS system
Mekyska, Jiří ; Stejskal, Vojtěch (referee) ; Smékal, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work deals with a linear prediction and cepstral synthesis of speech signal in the TTS (Text-to-Speech) systems with the opportunity of modeling the prosody. The work contains a description of speech signal in acoustic and phonetic plane, the principle of speech production and the way we can figure the speech signal in time and frequency domain. Next, there is the TTS block structure mentioned, whereas each block has its own detailed description. In the work, the modeling of prosody using the three most important suprasegmental features (fundamental tone, continuation and speech intensity) is also described. At the end of this work, there is a design and realization of universal Czech TTS system which is based on the speech synthesis in frequency domain. This system is implemented in program MATLAB.
Voice Sample database design for speech recognition purposes
Realization of a speech generator library for embedded systems
Kvasňák, Michal ; Macho, Tomáš (referee) ; Petyovský, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is about implementation of library which allows to generate voice output using an embedded system Arduino Mega2560 rev3 to which buzzer is connected. The library works on logic obtained by analyzing the „HLAS“ program designed for personal computer Sinclair ZX Spectrum. The output of the work is a working library which is used for lab task designed to learn about USART serial communication interface.
Song lyrics by Jaromír Nohavica in the aspect of dialectology
KUČERA, Jan
The main content of this bachelor thesis is a dialectical analysis of a part of Jaromír Nohavica´s work to describe the influence of the Silesian dialect in his lyrics. The thesis is introduced with a summary of Nohavica´s life and work, followed by the theoretical part consisting of a description of Silesian dialectical features. The practical part contains tables with dialectical occurrences in all linguistic levels, their characterization and analysis supported by examples.
"Oit wird me!" The Kraslice German. Phonetic structure and variation-linguistical classification
Mareš, Jiří ; Blahak, Boris (advisor) ; Šemelík, Martin (referee)
This thesis deals with the topic of a diatopically spoken variant of German language in the region of Kraslice, the north-western part of Bohemia (Eger/Cheb). The research that was carried out stands on dialogues based on the so called Wenker - Sätze phrases (1878), such dialogues were recorded and then phonetically transcribed and analyzed. Using these methods and materials, the phonetic structure of vowels was reconstructed and the results were variation-linguistically classified. Among the expected features, the north-bavarian and east-franc influences prevail as expected. Despite those there are many signs of the north(west)-bohemian too. Next the question pursued of how the German Graslitzer developed after 1945.
