Evaluation of the level motor skils children of younger school age with mental disability by the test battery MABC-2 in České Budějovice
ŠEJNOHA, Martin
The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the level of motor skills of younger school age children using a MABC-2 scoring in České Budějovice. Through a literature research using an analytic-synthetic method a theoretical basis focused on knowledge from the field of mental disabilities, motor skills and abilities and MABC-2 scoring was developed. As part of the research, 6 children with mental disabilities aged 7-10 years attending a special primary school in České Budějovice were tested using the MABC-2 scoring after the informed consent of the children's legal representatives. Based on the achieved results and their subsequent comparison with the standardized set MABC-2 for the Czech population, it was found that the average standard score is 7.2 lower than the average value of the standard for children of the same age. The smallest difference was recorded in the Aiming & Catching component, 4.84 points and the largest in the Manual Skill component, 6.5 of the standard score. The result shows that all tested children showed motor difficulties. At the same time, frequent deviations from the standard execution of individual actions were observed within the qualitative evaluation.
