Roles and Positions of Expatriats in Selected Organisations

The master's thesis investigates the employment of foreigners in the Czech Republic, work, personal, and family life of expatriats, community life and other influence over the integration of expatriats. In the theoretical part there are drawn up basic theoretical attitudes to these problems. In the practical part you can find the results of the interviews realized with expatriats. On the basis of the results the analysis of quality data was realized and the changes were suggested. They are aimed to make easy and streamline cooperation of all parties concerned.
Education of employees in the multicultural organization

Résumé This thesis focuses on the education of employees in international corporations. Its aim is to introduce this problem in a broader context, especially that of international business. Firstly, in this work an international corporation is understood as an organisation, firm or company in which individuals of many different cultural backgrounds meet and interact. Therefore, the thesis also occupies itself with subcategorie of cultural theories, the characterization of an international corporation as such and, moreover, international personal management with an emphasis on managing expatriates. However, the most attention is paid to certain educational specifics of international corporations. The processes of adaptation and reintegration are described in detail as are the problems of intercultural learning and intercultural training. To conclude, this thesis attempts to summarize theoretical bases and to bring forth new ideas on the basis of study available Czech and foreign literature in the context of the given issue.

It is an elaboration of data and detailed analysis of immigrants called expatriates, in other words immigrants in our country. Work is conceived on read literature, fieldwork and with the support of lectures at the Institute of Ethnology at the Faculty of Arts of Charlese University in Prague. The project deals mainly with issues of migration, immigration and its development from the year 1989 till today's date. Therefore it is retrospective view on a given subject and reflects the situation in our country. Offers theoretical framework, definitions and explanations of significant aspects in the area of international migration to the Czech Republic and its development.

Analysis of foreign clients’ service level on the Czech banking market

This Thesis deals with the analysis of foreign clients' service level on the Czech banking market. The main aim is to evaluate the level of foreign clients' service at selected branches and specialised centres of five largest domestic banks, using the method of Mystery Shopping. Evaluation is enhanced by a survey which questions the satisfaction of foreigners with current banking services and their interest regarding specialised centres. Based on the results of the analysis the final recommendations are provided to banks and three determined hypotheses are confirmed or disproved. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is focused on general specifications of the basic concepts and legislative regulations which have an essential influence on foreign clients on the Czech market, the evolution in the number of foreigners in the Czech Republic, the Czech banking market including profiles of domestic banks and the definition of marketing research. The practical part includes preparation and implementation of research at the bank branches, a survey among foreigners, research outcomes and subsequent recommendations to banks.
Intercultural Training in Business Practice

Master's thesis on Intercultural Training in Business Practice deals with the intercultural communication, opportunities for its improvement through intercultural training and actual practices in czech companies when using it. The theoretical part defines the concepts of culture, intercultural communication and intercultural training. The practical part includes research in firms in the czech market through a survey and case study in a chosen company. Based on the findings, the last part of the thesis includes proposals, how should companies use intercultural training and what are their options including a summary of their main advantages and limitations.

The thesis on the topic of Taking Care of GE and Knowledge Transfer in Company X has examined the practice in the field of the global assignments of the company X hand in hand with a qualitative research method among the GE of X. First, theoretical proposals were introduced and analysed. Then they were connected with the results of the research and discussed and proposals were made for optimising of the care taking about the GE and for releasing the knowledge flow in X.
