Polarographic analysis of water
Klečka, Tomáš ; Rozman, Jiří (referee) ; Čížek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's project creates the necessary theoretical foundation of polarography and voltametry in the first part, which is needed to successful measurement using these technics. In the second part there is realized measurement with anodic stripping voltametry and accomplished evaluation in MATLAB. Finally there is example of procedure for laboratory task with polarograph.
Electrochemical Characterization of Nanostructured Surfaces Modified by Substancies with Thiol Bound
Urbánková, Kateřina ; Kynclová, Hana (referee) ; Hrdý, Radim (advisor)
This master thesis deals with nanotechnology, nanoparticles and nanostructured surfaces, electrochemical methods, especially voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and contact angle measurement. One part is focused on electrodes primarily nanostructured and modified by substancies with thiol bound. Tutorial for preparation of gold nanostructured electrods is introduced in practical section including SEM photos of electrode surface. Nanostructured and bare gold electrodes were modified by 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid, streptavidin, glycine and biotin and measured by cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and contact angle.
Electrochemical sensor for ascorbic acid detection
Hlavička, Michal ; Kynclová, Hana (referee) ; Majzlíková, Petra (advisor)
This work deals with electrochemical detection of ascorbic acid using screen-printed three-electrode sensors. The work is divided into three parts, where the first describes the theory of thick-film technology, including the types and compositions of the pastes, fabrication and firing. The second part deals with the methods, measurement principles and the electrochemical detection of ascorbic acid. Experiments were done using screen-printed carbon electrodes in a solution of phosphate buffer and ascorbic acid. In conclusion the results are evaluated.
Vývoj elektrochemického detektoru pro monitorování těžkých kovů
Koudelková, Zuzana
The aim of this dissertation thesis "Development of electrochemical detector for heavy metal monitoring" was to create sensible sensors for the determination of heavy metals in the aquatic ecosystem and which would be usable for real applications, determination of the content of various metals in waste industrial waters. For the simultaneous determination of Zn(II), Cd(II), Pb(II) and Cu(II), a carbon paste electrode modified with chromium oxide was developed, based on this modification were produced the screen printed electrodes for the simultaneous determination of said metals with good limit of detection. For the usability of printed sensors in situ, a new electrochemical cell design was designed. This proposed cell also facilitates dosing of samples and buffer necessary for electrochemical analysis. Further, for determination of the total chromium content in aqueous solutions, was introduced a new method using a silver film on a glassy carbon electrode. Finally, various methods for waste water treatment from heavy metals have been tested.
Analytické metody pro stanovení sacharidů v moštu a víně
Jarůšková, Aneta
Literary part of this thesis introduces the readers with the chemical properties of carbohydrates, which are the most important for total characteristics of the wine. The most represented carbohydrates are glucose, fructose and sucrose. It summarized the distribution of analytical methods for determination of carbohydrates in must and wine. Based on studies there were presented trends which are in this area currently used and which lead to increasing efficiency for the determination of carbohydrates. In the experimental part was for determine the reducing sugars in the two samples of white wine used two titration methods. Analysis of samples was also determined by spectrometric instrument ALPHA. Methods were compared from the aspects of accuracy, difficulty, time demands and financial costs associated with their application based on the experiment and knowledge of the literature.
Analytické metody pro stanovení kyseliny jablečné a vinné ve víně
Töröková, Lucie
Malic acid and tartaric acids are the most important organic acids in grape juice and wine. They can be detected in liquid samples by several different analytical methods. The aim of this work was to compare various analytical techniques used for the qualitative and quantitative analysis in grape juice and wine. Individual methods were divided into 5 groups: chromatographic, electrochemical, spectroscopic, enzymatic methods and titration. These methods were described in details and summarized. Some of these methods are already in decline or they are utilized by small winemakers, only. In contrast, the development of instrumentation technique is still ongoing. Detection limits are constantly improved and various machine combinations are tested. The most commonly used methods include chromatography techniques in combination with various types of detectors, its connection with other devices, and even their series connection.
