Distant effects of muscle electrostimulation

This work is trying to identify possible non-stimulatory effects and distant effects of muscle electrostimulation musculus quadriceps femoris based on a literature search. Furthermore evaluates the influence of High Tone Electrical Stimulation (HTEMS) muscles of lower limbs on the activity of the autonomic nervous system, expressed by heart rate variability, a spectral power in the individual frequency bands. Randomized crossover study involved 15 healthy subjects (7 men and 8 women), average age 24.4 ± 2,5 years. Heart rate variability was evaluated in two situations: the situation without the application HTEMS and the situation with the aplication of HTEMS. Electrostimulation was done with HITOP 191. The results did not show statistically significant differences in all monitored components. The study also dealt with the reproducibility of measurements of perception and motor threshold for HTEMS.
Influence of spasticity in patients with multiple sclerosis using method of electrical stimulation according to Jantsch

The electrical stimulation (ES) according to Jantsch was created with a primary aim to reduce spasticity, however its impact has been neither proved nor disproved by any study. Therefore, the aim of the thesis is to find out if this type of the ES can reduce spasticity of m. triceps surae within the patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). Apart from the spasticity, there was as well observed the influence of the ES on an active movement performed by the antagonists of spastic muscle and the walking speed. Fifteen probands participated in our pilot controlled non- randomized study, probands were divided into two groups - first with the application of the ES (STIM) and second without the application of the ES (NOSTIM) during the hospitalization. We used the concept of Jean-Michel Graciese - Five-step clinical assessment in spastic paresis during the examination process. From this protocol, we choose Tardieu scale to measure spasticity, examination to measure active range of motion and 10MWT. Furthermore, TUG was added. The measurements took place on the 1st, 4th and 8th day of the hospitalization. The intragroup difference was evaluated by the ANOVA for repetitive measures with Fisher's post- hoc test and the level of importance p=0.05. The effectiveness of high intensity laser therapy for plantar fasciitis.

Lenka Pitnerová Title: The effectiveness of high intensity laser therapy for plantar fasciitis Objectives: The aim of this work is to assess the effect of high and low intensity laser therapy for plantar fasciitis compared with therapeutic ultrasound. Methods: The study included 50 patients with diagnose of heel spur syndrome. Patients were divided into three groups according to undergoing therapy. Group A (n = 20) received 10 applications of high intensity laser therapy, group B (n = 20) obtained 10 applications of low intensity laser therapy and group C (n=10) received 10 applications of therapeutic ultrasound. Intensity and character of the pain were assessed before and after therapeutic intervention using non- standardized questionnaire and numeric pain rating scale. For the assessment and description of the results were used standard statistical indicators and methods. Results: High intensity laser therapy had according to the obtained results positive effect on the clinical course of the disease and was markedly more effective than therapeutic ultrasound in treatment of plantar fasciitis. The use of Electrotherapy to Influence Spasticity in Patients after Stroke

Title: The use of electrotherapy to influence spasticity in patients after stroke Abstract: The theme of bachelor thesis is the use of electrotherapy to influence spasticity in pacients after stroke. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part there is described the issue concerning stroke, regulation of muscles tention and spasticity. Mostly there is stated performed research of accessible literary sources on the theme electrotherapy with antispastic effect. These findings come out mostly of the results of foreign studies, which are being mutually compared. Pratical part contains of two case reports of patients, who suffered a stroke and spasticity m. triceps surae has occured in them. On the concrete muscle the stimulation according to Janstch is being applicated for five days. The impact on spasticity is being observed, the spasticity had been examined by using the scale Five-step clinical assessment according to Gracies before the first therapy and instantly after the fifth therapy. Further the changes of parameters, which are desribed by the stated scale, had been observed. Utilizing of electrical stimulation for decreasing of spasticity in stroke patient

1 Abstract Electrical stimulation by coupled impulses according to Hufschmidt was created with the primary goal of reducing spasticity. However, there are currently few studies that confirm or refute the effect of this type of electrical stimulation in reducing spasticity. The aim of this diploma thesis was to determine the effect of electrostimulation according to Hufschmidt on the reduction of biceps brachii spasticity in patients after stroke. In addition, the effect of electrical stimulation on increasing the active range of movement of the antagonist of the examined muscle and on the active function of the spastic limb was investigated. For these purposes, a non-randomized controlled pilot study was created, which involved a total of 16 probands, 8 - in the therapeutic group, 8 - in the control group. Five-step clinical assessment in spastic paresis according to Gracies were used for the examination. In the therapeutic group, electrostimulation took place 3 times a week, a total of 8 times. The intragroup difference was evaluated using the Friedman and Wilcoxon paired tests, the intergroup difference was subsequently evaluated using the Mann-Whitney U test. Sanatorium with speleotherapy for children in Ostrov u Macochy

The main idea was to choose a child as a measure of design. Immerse yourself in his world and his perception of space - keep in mind his needs. What did the place where he would be able to recover from respiratory problems look like? Was she in the hospital? What kind of room was that? What was that for? place? Did nature play any meaning in that? Would you like to go back there? How does she remember him? The aim was to create a place that resembles the hospital environment as little as possible, is in direct contact with nature and attracts to get to know it more. The stay in the hospital should be more reminiscent of spending holidays at school in nature. How to avoid austere hospital premises? Is there such a guide at all? Should I draw inspiration elsewhere? Where do we go to gain strength from everyday worries? In nature, of course. And how does this need translate into architecture? And we have at all such architecture? The answer to the questions I asked was the cottage. House created for a stay in nature. But how to lift it to something richer and more interesting? There was something else that fascinated me as a child spending time in Luhačovice - the spa environment. How these two forms to connect?
Rehabilitation centre, Pasohlávky

The diploma thesis deals with the design of a rehabilitation center, which is located in the cadastral area of the village Mušov on the border of the village Pasohlávky. It is a two-storey rehabilitation center with a gym and a partial basement. The thesis deepens the initiative of Thermal Pasohlávky, which plans to build a spa resort in the same section, combining elements of spa care, recreation and sports use. The object fulfills the function of a rehabilitation medical facility. The center is designed for up to 50 patients and is functionally divided into three parts. The first part consists of rehabilitation. We will find here several exercise rooms, hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, doctor's office with waiting room and reception. Rehabilitation also includes a gym with access to the terrace and park. On the second floor we can find specialized department of ergotherapy for people with different types of disabilities and second functional part of the bulding designed for staff facilities. It is made up of staffing facilities, dressing rooms, offices and meeting rooms. The third functional part consist from the technical background of the building and is located on the ground floor. The object is designed as a wall system, built from sand-lime bricks km beta Sendvix and insulated with the ETICS thermal insulation made from mineral wool. Horizontal supporting structures are designed as reinforced concrete. The entire building is roofed with a flat roof. Wooden windows and doors are used in the building to fill the holes. Before the building is a parking lot for employees and visitors of the rehabilitation facility. The design respects the principles of barrier-free solutions. The bachelor thesis is elaborated in the form of a project documentation for the execution of the construction.

Its main goal is to improve a shape, technical solution, ergonomics and visual aspects of nowadays microwave diathermy machines and to innovate this part of technology, ergonomics, economics and the usage of this device on the field of physiotherapeutical care.
