Malinská, Dita ; Radimecký, Josef (advisor) ; Šejvl, Jaroslav (referee)
In my thesis I deal with the postpenitenciary care in ambulatory services for drug users. The aim of this study was to explore why clients seek and visit the institute, where my study took place, what services they used and which services did they miss there. Then I investigated reasons of their early abortion of these services. For these purposes, I chose a qualitative study - six case studies of clients who have used postpenitenciary services. My research took place in one organization - the ambulatory center for drug users. I was in contact with the clients throughout their whole attendance at the service. For the purpose of qualitative research I used data folders of the clients - records of consultations made with clients and all documents that were relevant for the study. All respondents were sent to the institution by workers of Probation and Mediation Service for Czech Republic. Four of the six clients completed the program properly. Two clients aborted the service earlier. Due to the quantity of the research sample we can not generalize these information, but we can say, that the provision of postpenitenciary care is very important to map the client's situation, individual access to his or her needs, and on this basis to select the appropriate interventions in work with theem, which I...

The objective of this bachelor thesis is to map the patterns of substance abuse among clients of the outreach program No biohazard. The work aims to find out how and whether these patterns of use changed during the COVID-19 pandemic, which hit the Czech Republic in early March 2020. Due to the global breadth of the pandemic, impacts and restrictions have affected almost all areas of human functioning. One of these areas was also the drug market. Background: A chain of repetitive phenomena is seen in the lives of drug users in the forms of drug use - committing crimes - commencing imprisonment - learning new practices - dismissing from prison - using addictive substances - committing further crimes - then resuming imprisonment. The main goal is to describe the experience of serving a sentence drug-related prisoners. The method of data collection and analysis is grounded theory and qualitative analysis of interviews (biographical interviews). The results of the research were compared with the analysis of specialized literature on the topic. Results and discussion: The work is divided into 3 periods of time - life before imprisonment, whose events determined drug use and criminality, imprisonment as an environment of phenomenon of imprisonment and life after imprisonment as a period of returning to society. Conclusions: During the course of life, Contacts got into very risky situations that they were unable to solve in a constructive way. Drug use and crime were/ are the solution to these difficult life events. Increased strictness of rules in prisons does not guarantee a reduction in the threat of recidivism. The experience of imprisonment in itself makes it difficult to adapt to life in freedom. Keywords: Drug user, drug career, imprisonment

PROUZOVÁ, Tereza
The goal of this work is to analyse the life stories of individual with experience in drug addiction. Based on the information find out, which way they interpret their experience of drug addiction and what significance they have in their lives. The secondary goal is to try to find key moments in life, where there was space for change and to these moments focus the prevention. Therefore, the target group is individuals with experience in grug addiction. In the theoretical part, drug addiction is comprehensively developed, from onset to treatment. The practical part consists of qualitative research, which is carried out by a method of narrative analysis of four respondents, who have experience of drug addiction. The information was obtained using half-structured conversation. Research shows that the experience of drug addiction has a significant role in the lives of the investigated individuals. Although we can find some similarities in people in relation to drug addiction, it is not possible to generalize the importance of drug addiction in the life of a person, because the processing of this experiance is subjective. A major influence on the interpretation of the relationship to drug experince is whether it is still a drug user or abstinent. Not least, research shows that prevention can not target only on one source of the problem, so it is necessary to apply non-specific prevention in this respect.
